Interaction with Guests
I'll be here to welcome you on arrival, show you around the house, answer any questions you may have and provide some insider tips and info on local sights and amenities. I'll then be available by phone, email, text, or Whatsapp for the duration of your stay and hope to help make your holiday in Dublin as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.
This is a very safe, friendly area - one of the few remaining genuine old Dublin neighbourhoods still unspoiled by 'progress'. People around here still know each other by name and greet each otherin the street with a smile - a rare find in most cities these days!
We're also lucky enough to have the beautiful, tranquil Phoenix Park literally as our back garden, which is the largest enclosed park in Europe and a wonderful space to explore. The deer roam freely here, and you can enjoy an exhilirating run, take in the award-winnning Dublin Zoo, or just relax and watch the world go by over a delicious coffee and cake at the quaint little old Tea Rooms down near the Bandstand. The lovely Royal Canal Walk is just a short stroll away too.
Within 2 -10 minutes walk, we have several fantastic bars and restaurants, including the jewel in the crown - The Hole In The Wall. If it's a REAL traditional Irish pub experience you're after, then this can't be beaten!
The best bit! While there is bus stop about 5 mins walk away, and train at 15 mins, almost all my guests choose instead to avail of my wonderful local taxi drivers - and right-hand men! - Robbie and Jimmy. (See the many glowing mentions they get in my reviews) From airport pick-ups, to short hops into Temple Bar/City Centre, to day-trips out to our beautiful coastal fishing villages such as Howth, Malahide or Dalkey, the guys will be on hand to make getting around Dublin fast, easy, affordable, enjoyable and stress-free. Also, Robbie and Jimmy are the absolute Fonts of All Knowledge on the subjects of places to see and things to do in Dublin, and are happy to offer the best advice and suggestions, specifically tailored to your requirements. Several guests have even remarked that it's like having your own personal tour guides, for a similar cost to public transport. The friendly, efficient service they provide my guests in invaluable (and unrivalled!) and a huge perk for anyone who chooses to stay here.

Everything was perfect and just as described on the Web site.
We were 6 adults and a child aged 3 years and a half and we spent 3 nights in Susan's house which was very spacious (4 bedrooms), clean and so nicely decorated. We didn't have the opportunity to meet Susan in person as she was away, but her friends Cormac and Robbie welcomed us very kindly, they came at the airport to drive us to Susan's house. Robbie gave us good advice and suggestions of visits to do in Dublin. We will recommend Susan's house to my family and friends without hesitation, because it is a great place where you feel like at home. There were even food, wine and beers for us in the fridge, what a lovely attention!
The house is very well located, just next to the Phoenix Park, which was great with a child, because there was the Dublin zoo in there and our daughter enjoyed it.
To end with, I suggest to have a supper at the pub just next to the house called 'The hole in the wall', the food was delicious (thank you very much Cormac for the advice :)
Thank you again Susan for the whole organisation which was excellent! You are a great host! We hope to come back to Dublin and in your house one day...
Susan was a brilliant and friendly host. The house was perfect location and set up for my friend's birthday weekend - Susan even organized a cake with my friend's name on for our arrival (and it was very tasty too). The house itself had all the amenities you could ask for! We had the pleasure also of using Susan's friend Robbie as a taxi service - his large van fit all our friends perfectly and his rates were incredibly reasonable.
Great host, great house - would love to come back again!
Out stay at Suzand house was just perfect! The communication was always so easy and uncomplicated!
When we arrived at the house, Suzan was already waiting to show us everything and the fridge was also full! The rooms really are as nice as they look on the pictures and there are so many extras in the house you can use! We were a group of 11 girls and we felt so comfortable!
Robby and Jimmy were also very nice and the communication was easy and uncomplicated as well!
We would all go back there, it was so nice!
Our stay was a very positive one and the entire experience went off without a hitch! From the very beginning with our original flight being cancelled and us having to re-book for the following day, the taxi driver Jimmy that Susan had arranged to pick us up at the airport was completely flexible and we were assured that no matter what time our flight arrived in Dublin he would be there to pick us up - that was such a relief! He called me as soon as our plane landed and told us where he would be in the arrivals gate and sure enough he was there as promised. The house was very spacious and well equipped for all of us (three adults and three children total). Another bonus was the fact that Susan had everything my baby niece needed so my sister didn't have to bring anything for her. A stroller/pram, high chair, cot for sleeping and all bath products for her were all included - all we had to do was ask. The Phoenix Park was beautiful and so close to the house. For everything else Robbie and Jimmy were there willing to drive us wherever we wanted to go. It really was like having your own personal tour guide because they know so much about Ireland and were so flexible for dropping us off and picking us up places. The pre-paid phone Susan provided was also a major help since we didn't have to use our own at the risk of incurring roaming charges. Highly recommend this house to anyone or any group of people - you won't be disappointed.

About the Host, Susan
Hi there, I'm Susan. I live on the edge of the Phoenix Park, Dublin and couldn't wish for a better place to live. We're close enough to town to enjoy and appreciate everything our city has to offer, yet only have to look out our windows at the glorious park views to feel far removed from the hustle and bustle. I've had wonderful experiences as an AirBnB guest on breaks to cities such as London, New York and Barcelona, and decided it would be fun to try hosting for a change! I believe Dublin is one of the most characterful, vibrant cities in the world and will be more than happy to assist in every way possible to make your visit to our charming city an exciting, effortless, unforgettable experience. ;-)
