Hi, I'm Liz and myself and Robert have been hosting on airbnb for a year now. I have two double rooms available to rent, one with an en-suite and the other a spacious attic room. I can provide a comfortable fold-out bed for children in the attic room - children are most welcome! Towels, shower gel and hairdryer are available. We are also conveniently located close to University College Dublin which is a short bike or bus ride away.
I provide a continental style breakfast and can cater for coeliac, wheat or dairy intolerant diets once you let me know in advance. My house is located in a leafy part of Dublin about 20 minutes from the city centre, there's a bus stop right across the street and it's about a 15 minute walk to the tram line and a 15 minute trip into St Stephens Green from there.
My home is filled with interesting art, objects and books that I have collected over the years. I have a secluded back garden filled with many plants and home to a variety of birds. There is off street parking available in front of the house and a well-stocked convenience store and pharmacy across the street. We are close to Dundrum shopping centre and there is a choice of restaurants and cosy pubs around the area. The surrounding area has many beautiful parks, interesting museums and lovely walks by the nearby river.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to make tea, coffee etc. I have maps and information about what's on in Dublin and am happy to orient you so you can make the most of your stay. Whether it's traditional music, art, restaurants, museums, shopping, nightlife or just relaxing I will do my best to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable.
Smoking allowed in the garden
Breakfast between until 10.30
I'm flexible so get in touch if you have any questions.
Staying with Liz and Robert was excellent. We felt at home from the first moment by a warm welcome with tea and biscuits. Liz told us lots of information about the city and what galleries and museums we could visit the best. The room was very nice and neat and after the bustle of Dublin it was wonderful to stay in the house. The weather was beautiful and we could even sit outside in the garden. A delicious breakfast was every time a good start of the day. Liz and Robert advised us to visit also a village outside the city, Enniskerry, where you can visit beautiful gardens and eat delicious cake. I would recommend anyone going to Dublin to stay with Liz and Robert, we had a very good time.
Liz and Robert are wonderful hosts whose personal generosity and love of Ireland warms every conversation.
The house is genuinely friendly and creative. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Liz was a very welcoming and helpful host. The room was clean and lovely decorated and moreover, the bed was super comfortable. For breakfast Liz offered a vast choice - it was delicious! All in all, it was perfect to stay at Liz' and I can warmly recommend it!
Staying with Liz was a fantastic way to start our holiday in Ireland. She is a superb host in every way. Liz was super helpful in communicating with us in advance of our arrival and providing us all the information we would need to get to her place from the Dublin Airport, and then offered lots of additional great advice on getting around, things to do, etc. We had some really nice chats, and everything about our stay was superb!
Liz was an absolutely wonderful host! She was very accommodating, helpful, and very hospitable. I would definitely recommend staying with her! She lives 20 minutes outside of the city center, and it's easy to navigate the bus to and from her house. I had an amazing time!
It was my first time in airbnb and my staying at Liz' place was excellent: my room was clean, warm ( very important for me! ), confortable and with a private bathroom with shower. The house has a garden too, where some birds tweet happily.
Liz helped me whenever I needed suggestions about transport, sightseeing....and she was very caring when I didn't feel so good.
Also her sister was nice to me and both were very patient with my bad English.
This was my first Airbnb experience, and I could not have asked for a better host. Liz is incredibly kind, helpful, and makes you feel right home. I stayed with two other girls, (we also used Liz's other listing--The Attic Room) for St. Patrick's Day weekend. We arrived late at night, and because the bus to Liz's house was no longer running, she offered to pick us up from a stop off of the aircoach (which is 12 euros roundtrip, has free wi-fi, and is only about 20-30 minutes from the center of dublin, near trinity college). To use the bus from there to get to Liz's is another 2.15 euro one way, and only 15-20 minutes. It stops literally across the street from her house, which is incredibly convenient. Transportation overall was easy, and it was actually quite nice to get away from the loud city and stay in a nice, cozy home. The house itself was nicely decorated, incredibly clean, and we had a lot of privacy with our own bathroom, with shower. In the morning, Liz would make us an authentic Irish breakfast, which was delicious and filling--bran bread, marmalade, tea, fruit, and porridge. She even got us some cheddar cheese after we mentioned how much we've missed it since studying abroad. Whenever we had questions about events or transportation, Liz knew just where to look and was very helpful in finding that information for us. She got us several guidebooks, maps, and tourist pamphlets that were really helpful when we were getting around the city on our own. Overall, I would absolutely choose to stay here again. Here, you get a beautiful, artsy, spacious, and private accommodation, a tasty breakfast, easy, quick, and cheap transportation to the center city, to the airport, and to other cities in Dublin, and last but certainly not least, a fantastic host!!! Thank you so much, Liz for letting us stay, and please don't hesitate to contact us if you are ever in the US!

I'm an artist and art therapist working with children. I'm interested in all kinds of art, creativity, gardening, Chinese medicine, travel, meeting people and much more. I like painting, making things, walking, music, movies, reading and meeting new people. As a host I'd like people to feel relaxed, welcome, have a good time and see and do all they want.
