If you want to be right in the middle of an amazing city, having a great time in a comfortable place, my apartment is just where you want to stay.
The apartment, is as described and perfect for my time in Istanbul. Self contained in a brilliant (email hidden)ose the bedroom door to shield some of the weekend tunes from infiltrating - or, just go join the party. Excellent location in a wonderful area of Istanbul. Plenty of good eats nearby. A more helpful host than Baris, I could not have found. He went over and above what any host should do in helping me execute a surprise birthday arrival for a friend. Thank you Baris, I will be back!
I had rented a few places from Airbnb in Istanbul for slightly cheaper, and I have to say paying the extra 10 euro made all the difference. The place is very nice, recently renovated, cozy, decently spacious. I stayed on a weekend night and there were a few clubs pounding music which is to be expected- always bring earplugs! But even so it wasn't overwhelming. Boris was very flexible with check in and check out and I would definitely stay here again! A very nice place and good deal. And there are actually lamps, which a lot of places don't have in Istanbul!
Istanbul, a city that never sleeps. During our city trip we stayed at Baris' house. His house faces in the center. Just two minutes walking and you're in the shopping street Beyoglü. We weren't in the house often because we were to busy with the sightseeings of Istanbul. However, the house was cosy and fitted with all basic conveniences. Beside, Baris was very friendly and is a real professional. If we're going back to Istanbul, we would like to go to Baris' house again.
Baris is an amazing host!!! So helpful in so many ways. When we checked out at 9am I realised I had left my cellphone charging inside the apartment & when I contacted Baris to see if he could let me in to get my phone ASAP, he came in 5 minutes. Because of Baris we didn't miss out flight :) He also provided us with information about local restaurants & helped with any enquires I made regarding Istanbul. Best host. VERY RELIABLE.
The apartment is in a great location, close to many good restaurants & shops. Only a 10minute walk to the tram to the old city where you will find the famous Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum & Grand Bazaar. Only one tram stop to a ferry port where you can get a cruise along the Bosphorous.
Would recommend :)
Its really a great location, just in the center of Beyoglu - the flat has all, what you need for a wonderful stay in Istanbul - and Thank a lt to Baris for his pleasant welcome
Baris was a fantastic host. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and to accommodate us. Its a great apartment in a quiet and safe location - super close to Taksim square and lots of shops and restaurants. Its also a less touristy side of town which is really good if you want an alternative to the old city thats not to far away from all the sights and attractions. I would definitely recommend Baris and his apartment.
We stayed 5 nights at Baris' flat and had a wonderful time. Baris was incredibly friendly and helpful with our arrival, getting us acclimated, and explaining the neighborhood. He gave us a subway card we could top up and even offered to get tickets/make reservations at some of the major tourist sites, which wasn't necessary since we were visiting in January and there weren't any lines.
The apartment itself is perfectly located on a quiet side street, right in the middle of one of the city's best neighborhoods for restaurants, nightlife, shopping, etc. You can find cafes, book stores, nice restaurants, rooftop bars, and even a theater literally within a 30 second walk. Istiklal St is less than 2 minutes by foot. It is also right in the middle of three major transport hubs---Tophane, Taksim, Galata, each of which is about a 10-15 min walk. Taking the tram at Tophane is probably the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to get to most of the sites in the old city. The area in general is pretty hilly (I think this describes most of Istanbul), which might be an issue for people with mobility concerns.
As we were visiting in January, we were very happy with the apartment's heating and hot water supply. The shower is great (temperature and water pressure), and the bathroom also has a hair drier. We didn't use the kitchen much, but the apartment generally is very nice, quaint, quiet, and comfortable (and looks just like the pictures). We would definitely stay here again in a future visit.
Baris was great! This was my first experience with AirBnB and Baris made it super fun and easy. The space was immaculate, not to mention in an incredibly central location. Would book again.
Baris' apartment was in a great location, was clean and close to many great restaurants, shopping and public transport to Sultanahmet for the major attractions.
This was our first experience with an AirBnB rental and I can’t imagine anything topping it. The location was perfect - on a quiet street just off the main street that runs from Taksim Square to the Tunnel. The apartment was in the heart of everything but felt very quiet and private. The place, while cozy, was immaculately clean and very functional with everything we needed to cook and serve a meal at home if we did not feel like going out. The best place about the stay at this apartment though was the owner, Baris. He was very friendly and accommodating from the very beginning and helped the taxi driver find the place by giving him directions over the phone. He made many recommendations for things to do but by far the best was when he made reservations for us for an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner party at a local rooftop restaurant… we had such an amazing time. Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in the world now and I would stay at this place again and again. I highly recommend any place run by Baris.
