One block away from the 7 train station( a minute walk), be in Manhattan in 25 minutes. Easy access by car or public transportation, commercial area, full of restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. Close to Met Stadium, Flushing Meadows Park, and LaGuardia Airport, it is convenient to be close to Manhattan and next to the most important spots in Queens. If you like diversity this is the place for you. Room has a full bed. 104th Street between Roosevelt Ave and 42th Ave.
The neighborhood is very diverse, many people from different nationalities all mixed in one place (that is why we call NYC the melting pot). Travelers like it because the food is awesome and very cheap and you have a big variety of restaurants and supermarkets close to the apartment. Also you are a minute walk to the subway, so no matter what time you get back home you know that the apartment is half a block from the train station. The subway works 24/7 and you are 25 minutes away from Times Square, so it is a cheap way to be on the NYC without paying  crazies hight prices. It is a safe neighborhood. I have been hosting guests from all over the world and they always finding an interesting fun place to stay.

    October 2013
  • Julieta was a courteous and gracious host to allow me to stay in the room on such short notice. She was attentive to help me into the apartment when I arrived with my luggage, and I was able to sleep relatively peacefully.

The location is great being so close to the 7 train and to LGA airport.

    October 2013
  • The room was very clean and comfortable. The apartment was extremely conveniently located near the subway and Julieta was there a part of the time to answer questions. The apartment was pretty tight otherwise, but the family was very friendly. We did have a car with us, and there was parking on the street, but traveling without it would be easier to navigate in the city. We would stay here again.

I am an open mind, respectful, quiet, clean person who loves art, music, reading, travel, cooking and dance. My home is welcome to anybody who would like to share a peaceful environment and enjoy the city from a local perspective. Please keep in mind that this is my home, I live here and this is not a Hotel. I would not be able to provide you with concierge service, or in room service however I can help you in everything that you may need while you stay in my home, you are my guest so I want to make you feel at home as much as possible. This is my home so come and share it with me, lets have a good laugh and let me tell you about the secret that we New Yonkers keep for ourselves about places to go, to shop and to eat. Being a hostess for more than 2 years has taught me that people under 40 years old understand this Airbnb system quite well but people over 40 tends to misunderstand the Airbnb services with a hotel and demands more and keeps unrealistic expectations. My home welcomes everybody who is willing to share and enjoy NYC. Things I love to do and i can help you with directions: Running, Capoeira, Hiking, Samba, Belly Dance, Gym Workouts, Enjoying the Music, African Art fairs, Museums, Mediterranean cuisine, Reading, laughing with friend, languages, writing, meeting interesting people, Guitar, Travel, theater, dance, berimbau, opera, and ballet.
