This apartment is a great deal for $150/night. Patrick was responsive, and he and Fernanda made sure we were well taken care of. The location, on a pretty residential street, is terrific - a six-minute stroll and you're in the heart of the action. It's a nice amount of space, with a very comfortable king bed. There were just a few small issues that might be of concern to some people: ventilation in the bedroom was not great. Patrick thoughtfully provides a fan, but the living room air conditioner, which does a good job in that room, can't reach to the bedroom. It's a pretty steep set of stairs to the third floor, which could be an issue for some. And the condition of the apartment, while clean and neat, is not A+, which may account for the price (it hasn't been recently renovated, as some Brooklyn apts. have been). That said, we had a very good stay and really appreciated Patrick's care and concern for our well-being. We wouldn't hesitate to stay with Patrick again. All things considered, you won't find a better value for a good place to stay in this terrific neighborhood.
Patricks apartment has a great layout and wonderful location in a third floor walk up. He was helpful upon our arrival and everything went according to plan. We would recommend his place and stay there again. Gary and Linda
I've been fortunate enough to have had several great airbnb experiences and Patrick's was second to none. My son and his partner were in Brooklyn for a week to participate in a wedding. I made the arrangements with Patrick and was a frequent visitor. We all had a wonderful time.
Firstly, Patrick was the perfect host, readily available, helpful and easy to communicate with - even when working on some really interesting projects.
The apartment was exactly as portrayed in the photos, clean and tastefully furnished. Given the energy of Brooklyn, the street is surprisingly quiet. Access to anything one might want is close by - a variety of good restaurants, convenience stores, subway/train stations, boutiques, yoga studios, dry cleaners, laundromats etc. The neighborhood was safe, friendly and easy to park in during the evening hours (a rarity when compared to Manhattan).
We did a lot of walking from the apartment, including to (and across) the Brooklyn Bridge and to the Brooklyn Museum. Coney Island is a short drive or subway ride and we had a fun afternoon there. And it was always so nice to return to Patrick's comfortable apartment. If you don't like complaining, go to Patrick's. There was nothing at all to complain about, and much to praise.
An "A-Plus" all the way as far as we were concerned. Highly recommended an thanks again, Patrick, for the perfect stay.
We had a very pleasant stay at Patrick's appartment. The appartment is situated in a very quiet and nice neighbourhood and several metro stations can easily be reached within 5-10 minutes walking distance. The bed is very comfortable and it was even possible to sleep with open window without beeing disturbed by traffic noise. The living room is really big and the kitchen is also very convenient. Patrick was a very nice and generous host. We even could use the apartment until late afternoon of our last day, until we had to depart to the airport which was really very convenient for us.
I have just returned from an 11 night stay at patrick,s appt in Brooklyn. Patrick is as charming as his apartment,It is clean and comfortable, and in an ideal (email hidden)ling alone I felt very safe, and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish.Patrick provided lots of clean towels, and even a hairdryer, which was great since i,d forgot mine.
Its very close to the subway, and lots of very good restaurants(and the liquor store for that occasional vino).
I recommend patrick,s apartment to all !!.
Patrick’s place was great. It was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet.
Check in was easy, and we had no problem finding the place.
It is located on a beautiful brownstone lined street in one of the best neighbourhoods in Brooklyn. Although we ventured into Manhattan a couple of times, there was really no need. Every meal we had was spectacular and within a 10 minute walk of the apartment (our best meal being only a 30 second walk from Patrick’s front door).
I have no complaints at all about the experience. The apartment is huge by NYC standards, and the area is bustling yet serene. My only complaint is, of course, that our stay was too short.
My stay at Patrick's charming Boerum Hill Apartment was great. Patrick and Fernanda were very flexible, meeting me earlier than the check in time posted to accomodate my early arrival. The apartment was very clean, large and quiet. It's close to 4 subway stations, as well as, plenty of shops and restaurants. It made for a great stay in New York.
