Adorable, sunny 1 bedroom mother-in-law apartment with spacious living room, kitchenette, and small bathroom on a residential street. The unit has a private entrance and is self-contained (but attached to our main house.)
The place is perfect for a single or couple looking for private, well-appointed accommodations for a great value.
The living room has hardwood floors, a comfy sofa, TV/DVD player with basic cable, high-speed wi-fi, and big windows with lots of sunshine. There is a small table with 2 chairs for working on your laptop or dining.
The bedroom has more great windows, a large walk-in closet, queen size bed with soft linens, and a ceiling fan for summer time. (We do have central AC and a supplementary window unit for cooling)
Bathroom is pint-sized perfection with tiled shower enclosure and sink/toilet. It's quite small, but we've managed to maximize the space. Towels, basic toiletries and medicine cabinet storage are provided.
Kitchen has refrigerator, 2 burner portable cooktop, toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave and electric kettle. The kitchen is also fully equipped with cookware and dishes if you want to whip up a meal.
Just a short jaunt from the heart of Denver. Rental includes use of 2 bicycles (just let us know and we'll wheel them around for you)
We live in a quiet working class neighborhood with an eclectic mix of families, students, older folks and even a few chickens! A mile from light rail station, a mile to the Platte River bike trail, and walking distance to bus route. Close to South Broadway antiques/shopping district, 3 miles from Washington Park, 5 miles to Downtown.
Please disclose if you have pets PRIOR to booking. We welcome well-behaved, fully potty trained furry friends - subject to approval prior to booking.
Stay for a few nights or a few weeks!
Guests have access to side yard and seating area (fenced for pets).
Interaction with Guests
We live next door but typically allow guests to come and go with very minimal interaction. We welcome questions and conversation -- but respect a guest's privacy first and foremost.
Our neighborhood is eclectic and diverse. We have retirees, college students, families with young children, urban farmers, and even bee-keepers. You can walk to several great restaurants, ride your bike to the river trail, or just hop in your car and head to the mountains!
Light rail is about a mile. You can walk or ride a bike there and head to downtown and beyond. The bus is about 3 blocks away. A car is preferred for most folks. But the adventurous enjoy the alternative transit, too.
Check in time is after 3pm, please. Our neighborhood is very safe. But please use good judgment and always lock your car and the apartment when you are away.
Please, no smoking (of any kind) indoors. (420 edibles and vaporizer OK) Smoking outside is permitted but please dispose of butts in your own receptacle – not the yard. Thank you!
Linens are laundered with sterilizing temperature water and changed prior to your arrival. Again, since most stays are less than a week, we don’t typically exchange linens during your stay unless you ask. But if you’d like this service please let us know!
Long term stay guests can request additional apartment cleaning during their stay for $45. We have a wonderful cleaning lady who will clean everything from top to bottom in just a few hours. Just let us know if you’d like her services and we can arrange it for you. You can pay her directly in cash.
There is a green plastic recycling bin next to the trash bin in the kitchen. Glass, aluminum, paper and plastics 1-7 can be recycled. No separation necessary – just toss it in there.
Additional instruction, maps, recommendations and advice will be provided in a booklet in the apartment for you.
