RENTALS. We offer everything from nightly to weekly to monthly to annual rentals. Let me know if you have any questions. For your next holiday vacations, we also offer other airbnb accommodation locations in Venice Beach and in the laid back community of Playa Del Rey. Just ask me, I will provide you further information.
TRASH. One key opens the laundry room and trash bin door, located by your television on a green lanyard ribbon. Sometimes keys are misplaced, call me and I will provide a copy. Exit building, walk to your right on West Yucca Street, and right. The trash bins are behind the big gated door. Thank you for putting all the trash inside trash bins. When staying at the Alexa, do not bring your trash into the lobby. Take your trash to the outside trash bins on Yucca Street or leave trash inside your apartment Do not leave any trash in the courtyard, lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevator, fire escapes, nor in front of your apartment door. Photos and complaints will go to office and we will have the camera footage reviewed. It is best to leave trash inside your apartment or take trash out to the trash bins on Yucca Street. Leave trash in bins or by the trash door. If you need trash bags look under the sink, inside the trashcan, or contact me.
ENTERING. Alexa Building Hollywood At The Artiste Apartments 1746 North Cherokee Avenue Los Angeles California 90028, on North Cherokee Avenue and West Yucca Street, one block north of Hollywood Boulevard. Enter the front gate code. Push gate to open. Walk in. (To exit push the green light and at the same time pull gate open.)
DIRECTIONS. From Los Angeles Airport. Go south on World Way to West Century Blvd. Go west on W Century Blvd to La Cienega Blvd. Turn left on La Cienega Blvd. Go north on La Cienega Blvd. Turn right on Sunset Ave. Go east on Sunset Ave. Turn left on Highland Ave. Go north on Highland Ave. Turn right on Hollywood Blvd. Go east on Hollywood Blvd. Turn left on Cherokee Ave. Go north on Cherokee Ave. To the corner of Cherokee Ave and Yucca St.
APARTMENT AMENITIES. We offer studio apartments and one bedroom apartments. Each apartment has rich exposed brick walls and hardwood floors, completely furnished, has a complete private bathroom (with tub/shower). Guests will have their own kitchen with appliances, cookware, dishware, glassware, and utensils. We provide a coffeemaker, usually there is coffee, sugar, and creamer. Each apartment has a sofa (not sofa bed). The studio apartments have one queen size bed. The one bedroom apartments have two queen size beds, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Each apartment has a window air conditioner, floor fan, ceiling fan, space heater. We provide fresh bed linen already prepared on each bed. We provide clean bath towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Each apartment has a hair dryer, a clothes’s iron, and a small iron board.

CHECK OUT / CHECK IN. Check out time is 11:00 am or earlier. Check in time is 3:00 pm or later. These times are strictly enforced. The apartment needs to be cleaned and prepared for guests booked in your apartment before and after your stay.
EARLY CHECK IN OR LATE CHECK OUT. Book your apartment an extra night, if you need to arrive prior to check in 3:00 pm or need to leave after check out 11:00 am.
ELEVATOR. We do have one elevator. There are stairwells throughout the building.
PARKING. There is street parking. There are many pay to park lots in the area owned by different companies. Look online “parking lots in Hollywood.” Directly next door is a public pay to park structure.
CABLE TV. Free cable television is provided in each apartment. We have one television in each apartment.
INTERNET ACCESS. Free wireless internet is provided. Look for a black and white modem. The wifi network and the password code are written on the side of the modem.
SMALL SAFES LOCATED IN YOUR APARTMENT. We have installed small secure safes located in the linen cabinet/closet. The small safe is a perfect size for your small valuables. I suggest not traveling with large amounts of currency or valuables. Ask me for the safe code.
LAUNDRY ROOM. One key opens the laundry room and trash bin door. The key is located by your television on a green lanyard ribbon. Keys are misplaced, call me and I will provide a copy. The laundry room is located in the basement. Take the elevator, press B. Walk left, again left. Laundry room is on your right.
NO SMOKING. There is no smoking allowed in apartments, lobby, stairways, hallways, fire escapes. You may smoke outside in the courtyard. We thank you for keeping this area clean.
CANCELLATION REFUND POLICY. We follow the strict cancellation policy. No refunds one week prior to your first day. 50% refund up to one week prior to your first day.
APARTMENT CHANGE. Due to any unforeseen reason, we reserve the right to change your apartment to another apartment within our Alexa Building for one of equal or greater apartment size or value. You will be informed as soon as possible.
RECEIPT. For a receipt of your reservation, print a copy of your airbnb Confirmation Itinerary.
FAMILY FRIENDLY. Children are welcomed. We do not provide baby beds. See tourist information for baby rental information. Let me know if you need anything such as extra bed linen.
PET FRIENDLY. We are pet friendly! Describe your dog accompanying you. There are some breed restrictions. Have photos of your dog ready and proof of current vaccinations. You will be prepared in the event of an emergency. When outside your apartment, keep your dogs on leashes. Do not allow your dogs to relieve themselves in the courtyard or run loose in the courtyard. Everyone appreciates pet owners cleaning up after dogs both indoors and outdoors! THE FOLLOWING DOG BREEDS ARE NOT PERMITTED: ROTTWEILER, DOBERMAN PINCHER, PIT BULL, GERMAN SHEPHERD, MASTIFF, CHOW, AND AKITA.

Martha was extremely thorough in terms of directions, accessibility, recommendations, etc. The apartment itself was very spacious and accommodating! 2 beds, 2 couches, kitchen.. everything you need was already provided.
I will definitely recommend anyone staying in Hollywood to check out Martha's rooms!
Martha is a very welcoming host and great communicator - everything was very clear on access instructions, etc. The unit is as described; Apt. 3V has lots of space, two comfortable queen beds, wi-fi that worked every time, and is a corner unit with extra windows. We were quite surprised on how quiet the apartment building is being just north of Hollywood Blvd! Our unexpected negative was parking - the streets were always full and we are not used to paying to park all-the-time (I know we are lucky and naive in the Colorado mountains!). Therefore, it was a shock to fork over $28 a night for parking; it's an attended private lot directly next door and felt very safe and so I suppose there was value in that fee, but I will budget for parking expense when traveling to LA in the future.
The picture make the place look much nicer than they are in real life. The unit is large though. There was only a wall unit AC, which did little in terms of cooling the unit. Opening windows didn't really help, because there wasn't much breeze within the complex. It's next to a parking lot, so when people were leaving Hollywood blvd at night, we could here everything. Not the best place for restful sleep. Also, the mattresses were firm firm firm. The location was excellent! Right in the heart of Hollywood. We were able to walk everywhere. West Hollywood and Beverly Hills were only a short taxi away. I can't overstate the greatness of the location. It's a compromise between sleeping/cleanliness and location. We clearly opted for location.
Clean place, good location close to transit, and the apartment seemed larger than the pictures in the listing. Martha provided good instructions on how to get into th building and gave suggestions for things to do.
Before we travelled out to L.A i was in dire need of getting some questions answered. Thankfully i didn't have to ask, as Martha explained practically everything when i made the reservation.
She explained the best places to visit, eat and socialise.
The apartment itself was spacious and you're located at the end of the hallway, so you don't have to worry about drunk neighbours making too much noise as they make their way up.
During our stay the code for the front gate was changed, so i can only assume they change it often to prevent any unwanted guests from entering the premises.
Overall we had a great time in L.A and a great time staying in this apartment!
We absolutely loved the apartment! It was big, nicely set up in a cute building. Martha was definitively easy to communicate with and I felt she was available if anything was going wrong. She sent all the information in advance so we were all set when we got there. The only down side of the apartment was that it was next to the public parking, therefore extremely loud at night, especially in the weekend! Besides this, our stay was great!
