The Space

If you are looking to stay in one of the classiest homes in Central Austin, this is your best bet. This is a 4,000 square foot home with 3 stories and cool outdoor patios. It is stocked full of all of the luxury-style amenities you can dream of. The kitchen is decked out with top of the line appliances, the rooms boast tons of natural light and super comfy beds, and the house is beautiful and spacious. The basement apartment is a refuge from the main house and can be a nice space for some privacy. The backyard has a beautiful pool with an infinity hot tub attached to the pool so you can cool off and then get hot, cool off, get hot, repeat, etc. This amazing home is tucked away on a quiet street and has a sweet swanky modern look.

The house is located near the corner of Peach Tree and Bluebonnet in the heart of the 78704 district which is known as the coolest neighborhood in Austin. It's creative and serene, but just a quick walk or bike ride away from everything that Austin has to offer - Barton Springs, restaurant row on Barton Springs Blvd., the thriving South Lamar district and tons of great eats, cafes and boutiques. In about a 5 minute car ride, you can be right in the heart of downtown. We are a quick walk to Town Lake for biking and jogging, and we're right next door to several bus stops that can take you to wherever you want to go in other areas of Austin.

This is NOT a party house. We do not allow bachelor parties here. We are tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and we are not able to accommodate groups whose main intention is to have loud celebrations. We prefer family groups or groups of friends or colleagues who are coming to Austin and plan to enjoy our city responsibly and enjoy our house respectfully and calmly.

  • 8 of us stayed at Moya's while in Austin for a wedding last weekend. The house is quite large - the bedrooms are spread across three floors and we all fit there comfortably. As someone mentioned below, the only full bathrooms are connected to the 3 bedrooms on the third floor, so we had to accommodate the downstairs guests in that regard. The basement has a few sleeping areas, but they are not separated by real walls or doors. The house was very clean and quiet, as was the street. We really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub.

There's a minimart just across the street, and the house is about a 2 minute drive to Lamar Road where there are a ton of restaurants, stores, things to do and about a 10 minute drive to downtown Austin/Congress Street, so the location was really unbeatable. We had a few issues - figuring out how to reset the hot tub, and turning on the hot water for the master bathroom shower - but Moya was very responsive when we called or texted her. It was a great stay and I'd certainly stay here with a group of friends again.

  • This house was perfect for our group! We had a party of 5 couples, and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable living arrangement. The grill and pool were amazing too-made for a really fun night in!

Moya was so responsive and accommodating. Truly-start to finish we had an amazing vacation and we'd recommend this house to anyone!

  • Yes - there is lots of room at this home and it is in a nice, quiet location (can walk to park area; near downtown, restaurants, grocery store). We had a family group of 13 adults and there was a bed for everyone. Adequate hot water and bathrooms for a large group as well. The kitchen was sufficient for preparing daily breakfast. We did not use the patio/grill/pool/spa due to the freezing weather during our January stay. Minor cons: Moya told us on arrival that the gas fireplace was not working (and we would have used that due to the cold weather during our visit). Showers/tubs in the 3 bathrooms upstairs; main floor and basement are ½ baths which made it somewhat inconvenient for those with walking handicaps. But overall, good visit and Moya was easily reached for any question we had.

  • We had an outstanding weekend staying at Moya's gorgeous home. A good friend from college was getting married in Austin, and 10 of us needed a place to stay. We instantly fell in love with Moya's Airbnb listing, and the house did not disappoint. The house has been beautifully designed and maintained, and we were thrilled that everyone had so much space! Seriously, this house is HUGE! (We were a bit like kids in a candy store the first time we toured the entire property.) And Moya was a fantastic host - incredibly communicative and well-prepared. We felt really taken care of all weekend. Also, this location is perfect - South Austin is super charming, and it was an easy cab ride to everywhere we needed to go. We were a little disappointed that the pool was too cold to swim in, but, hey, it was January. I can't recommend this house or Moya strongly enough! Book this house now, and you're in for a serious treat.

  • We did a little reunion at Moya's place. It was a great fit for a dozen people. The house has all the amenities you would need and the pool is amazing. There is a grill for BBQ'ing which was a plus. It was very easy to get downtown too. Moya was a great hostess and made the check in and check out process very smooth. Highly recommend!

  • This is a awesome place for a group of people. It's a 5 minute cab ride from anywhere you want to go. There is a corner store half a block down that makes great breakfast tacos and is super convenient to quickly snags food/drinks. You can walk to Black Sheep Lodge on Lamar. It's a great gastro pub type place. MAKE SURE TO GO TO THE BARTON SPRINGS IF YOUR THERE WHEN ITS WARM. It's 2 minutes away (long walk/short drive) and is a really cool thing to do. The whole stay blew away my expectations. In my humble opinion this is the BEST option on AirBnB for an Austin trip! Thank you Moya!

  • We had a great stay in this home - it is spacious and was comfortable for our large group. Would recommend a car for getting around, but taxis and lots of walking worked too! Moya was super responsive and answered all my questions right away. Would recommend for another stay in Austin!

About
I am an all around nice person! I have three kiddos. I started (with a whole crew of fantastic people) an amazing school in Austin about 12 years ago. It is now one of the best schools in Austin so I am super proud. I now run a community arts center in South Austin and manage a few properties. Life is pretty good in my world....full of art, fun, kids, great businesses, and tons of inspiring Austin experiences.
