It's nice and cosy studio-apartment around 30 m2. It will suit perfectly for two people. But it can also accomodate three, since there is a double bed at the loft + one sofa. I guess we should note that the bathroom is combined with shower and it is really compact (1-1.5 sq.m, please check the picture), but clean and perfectly usable. We also do have a cat, not staying with you of course, but take that in account if you are allergic to pets. However, overall the studio is just lovely. We are sure you'll enjoy your stay here!

Apartment is located close to bohemian east downtown, Kallio (10 min walk), where you can find all the hip bars, shops and other places of interest.
The name of the district is Alppila referring to the Alp mountains and it is located on a the top of the hill. So if you want to enjoy the view over the whole city, you can pop in to the amusement park (Linnanmäki) located practically on the backyard, and enjoy the ride on a Ferris Wheel or Panoraama (this one is free of charge, by the way).
The Alppipuisto park is 5 min walk away, in a little valley. During the summer its a nice place for the picnic and hanging out at the little independent music festivals, happening almost on weekendly basis. Other highlights of the neighborhood include park named after Lenin, historical wooden houses, many nice cafes and restaurants, bit less pricey compared to more central ones.
It's easy to reach city center too. The tram stop is at the front door and it takes 15 to 20 minutes by tram to reach the Central Railway Station.
No smoking inside of apartment, but you are welcome to use the common balcony at the same floor.
Otherwise I guess just live like you would live in your own apartment.
El apartamento es muy acogedor y calentito. Son muy amables y nos ayudaron a conocer un poco la zona. Perfecto para pasar unos días en Helsinki! Muy bien comunicado con el tranvía en la puerta.
Dana & Miika are really intelligent hosts with a smart well considered place. It includes all the nesseseties and some benefits like sauna in Saturday’s evenings or a lot of interesting books primary in English and some in Russian.
Dana told us all about her favorite places – where there were big portions or ethnic shops, advised splendid finnish urban historical museum and asked all the questions we had (a lot of!). We do hope to visit them again!
Miika & Dana are lovely hosts. The apartment is very cosy and located in a perfect neighborhood to explore the city. We had a great time!
We had a great stay at miika&dana's studio apartment. The location was great, and close enough to the city to walk, or easy as with the tram out the front door! Also, great abs interesting coffee/cafe options close by. Miika&dana were great communicators and considerate hosts.
We also enjoyed having access to the sauna and bikes.
Miika&Dana been great hosts. Everything was well organized and Dana did take care of us and directed us through the city and the apartment even though we never met in person. The apartment is exactly like described, cosy and central. A place where you can feel like home after a long sightseeing day. Thank you very much, we had a great stay!
The studio is realy cosy with lots of interesting small things which make the apartment very atmospheric. There are a lot of kitchen appliances if you have time to cook, and also many different books in English if you have time to read. The location is good - I can't say anything about local transport but if you have a car, you can get to the city center very quickly.
The thing I loved most of all there is the bed, it is very very cosy :)
We had a really nice time in Helsinki. Although we didn't meet Miika & Dana they were very helpful (answering text messages or e-mails almost instantly). The apartment is one tram ride away from the center so it was close but peaceful. The flat is nice, cosy and practical. We had all the things we needed right there, after a couple of hours it felt like home.
Thanks for the opportunity!
