About this listing
The apartment has been renovated recently, and is quite centric. Atocha train and metro Station are 5 minutes walking, and Sol and the central area is really close (plus you can see many sights of Madrid on your way). The Retiro Park is also a few minutes far away.
Perfectly communicated with the city, train and bus stations and airport, with less than 2 minutes walking from the nearest metro station. Taxi stop 5 minutes far away. The "Rastro" (second hand market) is also not far away, and there are tapas bars in the area.
We have internet connection and TV, if you want to relax on our spare room. At the moment I'm living with one of my sons there, but we are quite open and easy-going. We would love to share a coffee or beer with you!
The room can host up to two people. Coffee and tea are free for the guests :-). You can contact through (website hidden) if you want!
The room was as pictured and everything was nice. The bed was comfortable and the restroom was clean. The only downside was that it was very hot and there was no air conditioner or fan. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.
A very convenient location, near metro and train station. City centre, but quiet. Super friendly hostess. I recommend!
Carmen is a delight as a host of airbnb.
She is helpful and friendly and her accomodation is clean and cosy.
Thankyou Carmen for making me feel most welcome and making my stay in Madrid a memorable one. Vicki
Recomendable.
I stayed one week in Carmen's house, and it was the best part of Madrid trip. The house itself is very well located, near to atocha train station n metro, walking distance to most of the museums and tourist attractions as well. Room is basic and clean, and there r 2 bathrooms so I never had to wait for shower or toilet. But for me, the best part of this place is people, Carmen and her sons (also the cat!) r extremely friendly and helpful, also the other tenants I met there were also very nice too, we had some good times together. I didn't feel like a guest there, it's more like living with friends and family, it's truly a home away from home for me. Thank you Carmen, Nacho n Uje for your great hospitality, and I wish I can go back to this lovely place and see you again one day :)
Carmen's son was my host, there was a cute cat and they were quick to communicate. The room was lockable and potentially 24 hour access which suits a capital city.
The flat was an easy 10 minutes walk from the main train station Atocha, and a pleasant short walk to many of the city sights.
For the price the place was well located, comfortable, friendly, clean and when my flight was postponed, I was welcome to return for a few hours rest, which really helped my day go well, thanks. This place probably suits easy going, social travellers rather than very fussy folk as its lived in and not a hotel. There are also a couple friendly students staying there for a few months. Hope to see you again.
