  • Hank is a terrific person and the house is wonderful, but we did not enjoy our bedroom. Apparently, it is his 9 year old son's room usually and it had a bunk bed with one dim overhead light. So that we did not wake each other up in the middle of the night, we put the mattress on the floor. Getting to the bathroom required walking through the public areas. We had the house to ourselves a good deal of the time and were happy that we did not have to spend too much time in our room.
The house is in a very good location and is, but for that bedroom, very nice. There are four bedrooms, so it would be feasable for Hank to rearrange things to make a more comfortable sleeping arrangement for airbnb tenants. We gave him some advice about that and he said that he probably would not be renting rooms much longer because his kids are growing up and bringing their friends.

From the other reviews, it sounds like some people had different rooms from ours, although atleast one reviewed that same room negatively.

  • Very nice stay at Hank's. What you're getting is a room in a house. The room is near the living room, which is often occupied by Hank's other tenant, Hank himself, or Hank's kids. So don't expect to have a lot of space all to yourself, other than your room, but that didn't bother us. We made good use of the kitchen during our stay to make breakfast, but other than that (and sleeping) we didn't spend much time at the home. To me, that is a key for a successful stay here. All in all a great value for a place to crash in Breckenridge.

  • Room and house are nice, clean, and neat. Didn't spend a lot of time in the house, but Hank was a very pleasant and hospitable host, and he encouraged us to hang out in the common areas and not feel the need to be relegated to the rented room. Would happily stay here again.

  • Hank's place is a nice big house at the back of the town although there is a (free) bus stop a few mins walk away which takes you downtown in 10 minutes and also connects to the Breck Gondola and the bus stops where you can connect to Keystone and Arapahoe Basin ski resorts as well as Frisco and Silverthorne.

The main living area has lots of comfy seating and a huge tv. The kitchen is well equipped too so I had all I needed for my stay.

Hank only stayed there one night I was there and I found him, his kids and his dog all very friendly.

  • Great location just outside of Main Street. Shuttle stop is a 10 minute walk. Thanks Hank!

  • We had a great time at Hank's. The place is gorgeous and clean and a great location with a view! We took the bus into town several times including to ski. I definitely recommend a stay at Hank's!

  • Hank was a splendid host! The room was good sized and the bed very comfy. Also in a pretty good location to get into town easily or over to A-Basin where we skied. Hank also has great suggestions on places to eat, etc. we went to Angel's Hollow, it also comes highly recommended. Would definitely stay with Hank in the future!

  • It was just great! A super nice house on a really nice place. We stayed 50 days with Hank and we enjoyed the time. He is a really nice guy and we had a lot of fun. I really want to go back again! As soon as possible.

  • This is a really nice home in a quite corner of Breckenridge only a few minutes drive or free bus ride from Main St. and the ski lifts. Hank the host is a really cool guy and very laid back. I had a nice spacious room with it's own bathroom. Absolutely no complaints! Molly the dog also made me feel right at home. By the way I am Stephanie's husband David. I used my wife's account since she already had one set up. However I would have no reservations recommending this rental to a female. I felt it was very safe, comfortable, and very quiet.

About
Hank from Australia living in Breck. I work as a Professor in Denver half the time, so you may not see me the whole time of your stay (you may get the whole place to yourself!!). The houses neat and clean, I am a former Naval Officer so I guess some of that cleanliness rubbed off. I have my kids on some weekends so they may also be around but it is a huge house and they all have their own rooms so you will never feel crowded. Come Ski!!
