Lovely, recently renovated tobacco barn located next to bold rushing creek. One bedroom with new queen bed and a couch in living room. Massive screened in porch next to creek. Open your door and enjoy the sounds of the cascading water throughout the barn. Full bathroom with slate tiled shower. Galley kitchen area includes microwave, toaster oven, sink, mini frig and portable induction cooktop. Porch includes Weber gas grill, hammock and dining table.

Just 55 minutes from downtown Asheville.

The space
Spacious, secluded backyard includes a fire pit (Firewood and starter provided) and bold rushing creek, a great play spot for children and adults.

While space is all on one floor it is accessed by a few steps at the front door.

Kitchen & Cooking...
The galley kitchen is well equipped for short stays with pots and pans, utensils, etc, and a portable induction cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, grill on porch to cook on and a small fridge. Note there is not a full sized oven or freezer.

Sleeping Arrangements...
Besides the Queen bed in the bedroom, the pullout couch in the living room can sleep one or two little people, a sleeping mat located in storage in couch can add addtl comfort or be used to make a palette on the floor.

Your privacy is important to us, you'll have the entire first floor of the barn with its private bedroom, living room, kitchen, bath, porch and entrance to yourselves during your stay. The 2nd floor of the barn is used only for storage.

Our barn is located in the Pensacola community, south of Burnsville nestled in the Black Mountain chain in the shadow of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Rockies. Located approx 8 miles south of Burnsville, approx 30 miles from Asheville, NC.

Easy access to hiking including the Black Mountain Crest Trail, Big Butt Trail and more. Excellent level valley road popular for road biking follows the scenic cane river.

Mt Mitchell is less than a mile from the barn as the crow flies but is an approx 45 minute drive as the roads go up and around the Black Mountains to get to Mt Mitchell from the south.

Only 15 miles from the nationally rated Navitat Zip line adventures in Barnardsville.

Burnsville is 10 min drive and host to several nice restaurants, excellent supermarket and cute shops .
The world renowned Penland School of Crafts is only 22 miles away.
