If you would like my opinion on places to go and see while in New York, I am more than happy to help.
If privacy is what you need, you can go directly upstairs to the second floor with minimal interaction. You have my phone number if you need anything.
Park Slope is a very diverse, child friendly, family neighborhood right outside Manhattan. We are nicknamed the stroller capital of NYC. We have everything a city could need unto itself within walking distance plus a short trip on the subway train to Manhattan.

Other Things to Note

feeding chair that attaches to a regular dinning chair.
I expect guest to respect the furniture and house. Please eat downstairs in the kitchen or dining area and not upstairs in the bedroom or sitting room. Put dishes in the sink or dishwasher. Use the coasters provided on the wooden furniture. Leave wet towels in the bathroom, or use the drying rack behind the closet door not on the furniture. There are extra towels and blankets if you need them. If you need something you don't see just ask.
No smoking allowed anywhere inside the house.
Please let me know If you are allergic to dogs. I have a small hair dog who I will wash right before you arrive. He will not go upstairs into your rooms (Unless he smells food upstairs). He will be in the shared TV room and kitchen area.
To get what you see.. definetely..! When one books a special trip (of course NY is very special) than you hope that your expectations come through. More than that: at Christine"s lovely place with a very kind and helpful welcome we felt at home straight away.
She knows what to say and stimulates the own activity; she is very helpful . The house is very clean, spaceous, the beds sleep very well.
It is very nice to stay in Brooklyn rather than in Manhattan because here one can better feel the life of the New Yorker; the time to get to Manhattan is peanuts. I would recommend Park Slope to anybody ; we loved the character of the building from 1900; the piano was also nice for my son.
The kitchen is well equipped and the garden gives the house a pleasant breath. The airco, which we had to use (July) worked perfect.
Christine made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay in Park Slope! She is great about recommendations and happy to offer advice on how to get around the city. The space was *spotless* and beautifully decorated. We were within easy walking distance of numerous coffee shops (try Postmark!) and great places to eat. If you don't mind a slightly longer stroll, head over to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens! Despite being centrally located, the apartment was quiet and peaceful. We can't wait to return! Thank you, Christine, for a fun and pleasant stay! Sarah & Ryan
Christine communicated with me before I went so I was prepared to meet her. She was very helpful, taking my suitcase up and down for me. She was also friendly.
I was visiting my daughter and family so I left in the morning and came back in the evening. The neighborhood is lovely and was pleasant for a walk.
The accommodations are lovely and very comfortable. I slept very well in the bed. The air conditioner worked well; the shower pressure was great.
I look forward to staying with Christine another time.
What a great spot in Park Slope. Christine was so welcoming and helpful with neighborhood information. Lovely rooms and well-equipped private bathroom.
I highly recommend Christine's nice house to the travelers who want to adventure in Manhattan . My son and I spent such some awesome days there. The rooms are really nice and bedding pretty comfortable. Christine is a very good host. She provided all the bath amenities and she is always ready to give visitors some good suggestions to visit New York city.
My first experience with Airbnb was at Christine's place. I highly recommend this place to the travelers who both want to adventure in Manhattan and to explore the peacefulness in Brooklyn.
My parents and me spent such a wonderful days here. It's in a lovely neighborhood with many choice for brunch and dinner. The room is really spacious, ideal for 3-4 people. The backyard is a big surprise, full of green, flowers and running water. We spent many time cooking and eating in the backyard, which was fantastic.
Christine is extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Along with sharing her rich experience as a cool NewYorker, Christine help my dad looking for the access to Columbia Medical Library, since my dad was looking for books on neurosurgeon. My parents don't speak English, but they had a fun time communicating with Christine.
Christine was a very good host. The place was true to the photos and spotlessly clean. Although the decor was Victorian, the bathroom was totally remodeled and modern. It has a tub big enough to soak in! She provided all the bath amenities and more. It was also centrally located in Park Slope and close to restaurants and shops. There is also a beautiful patio and artwork on the walls to enjoy.
