Location, location, location! The apartment is in an ideal location. It's right on, and overlooks, Piazza Barberini. There is a Metro station right next to the apartment. One can walk to the Spanish Steps in 5 minutes and the Trevi Fountain in 10 minutes.
A couple of items to note. Double beds have two twin mattresses put together, but this is normal in Italy. Also, the showers are very small, but this is normal for Italy. The shower pressure is a bit low, but it serves it purpose. The kitchen is small, but it has everything you need and being able to eat at home was a nice thing to be able to do. The tv is very tiny, but you won't likely be home watching tv. The living room is very nice sized and there is a desk to work on with your laptop, iPad, etc. The washing machine worked great and the roof top terrace, and rack, to dry laundry on, are an important amenity to have. The AC works great and was a lifesaver in the hot, humid, summer. And then there is the Terrace, WOW! The terrace and dining room are great, with their amazing views, looking down over the Piazza and fountain. It was great to sit and look out on the piazza and everything going on!
This apartment is perfect for anyone who wants to be centrally located. The location is walking distance from the sites and amenities - grocery store, local restaurants, shopping, etc. There is also the convenience of being at a Metro Stop (Line A, Barberini stop) and in the center of the Eternal City, Rome!
The host, Robert, was very helpful. He helped coordinate the delivery of delayed luggage, as well as explained the nuances of the apartment. He had suggestions for the local grocery store, restaurants and places to grab wine and snacks. He was also very helpful with arranging transportation from the airport and then to the train station.
Great value and I would definitely stay again!
Six of us met up for an adventure in beautiful Roma. This apartment was perfect for our needs. We ended every day on the terrace overlooking Barberini Piazza, and the six of us could relax there comfortably. The location was perfect, and we could walk to everything except the Colosseum. A few days were terribly hot, and the A/C worked great! All of our showers were a bit low pressure and drained slowly, but otherwise it was everything we needed. We didn't cook, so didn't really take advantage of the kitchen. Check-in and check-out were easy and smooth.
