Remodeled on November 2012, our 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment sleeps 8. Conveniently located close to the I10 Freeway and the main thoroughfare of La Cienega Blvd, guests can arrive in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, DT LA, or the beach in 10 miles.

The Space

This recently remodeled three-bedroom, two-bath apartment is located close to two of Los Angeles' main thoroughfares, giving you quick access to the most popular tourist and business districts. La Cienega Blvd. takes you north to Beverly Hills, the Mid-Wilshire district and West Hollywood, where much of LA's nightlife, high-end shopping, movie theaters and museums are situated. The Interstate 10 takes you downtown to Staples Center/Nokia Live and USC, or westward to the beaches of Santa Monica and Malibu, in about 15 minutes.

Wide plank wood floors throughout and contemporary furnishings in earth tones make this open floor plan apartment a quiet place to relax at the end of the day. The L-shaped living room sofa pulls out to a queen-sized bed. Along with three bedrooms, this apartment sleeps eight comfortably. The living area has a large flat-screen television, dining table that seats 6-8 people and a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, gas oven/stove and built-in microwave. Countertop appliances include a toaster, coffee maker and blender.

All three bedrooms sport new taupe duvets on queen beds, weathered oak nightstands and large mirrored sliding door closets. The master bedroom is off of the living room and also has a flat-screen television. The master bath has a tub/shower combination. Two additional bedrooms are located off of the kitchen/dining area and share a bath with a shower stall, and have a separating slider for privacy. Linen cabinets are located in the hallways. Central heat and air, community laundry room, gated walkways, newly landscaped front entryway and one-car parking in the carport, round out the amenities. Street parking is also available, and plentiful.

A block away is a shopping center with a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, El Pollo Loco, McDonald's, CVS Pharmacy, Toys 'R' Us, LA Fitness Gym and Iyengar Yoga.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • I will begin with the things that I did appreciate about this apartment. I know LA very well and while this neighborhood south of Pico and off of la cienega isn't as chic as staying in say west Hollywood or Beverly Hills it is very central to the freeways and culver city restaurants and it's an easy starting point for exploring the rest of LA. The apartment is large and has "good bones". The apartment management company was easy to reach and friendly, rental and check in were user friendly and when we asked to rent a baby bed someone came within the day to set it up. Here are the apartment's low points and the reason I left quite disappointed. The photos of the apartment are very different from the actual place. When we arrived we immediately saw that the beige sofa in the pictures was covered with stains. It looked like it had never been cleaned. It was in fact so filthy that we immediately put a blanket down before sitting down. The floors had not been mopped in ages. This was evidenced by the fact that after 30 minutes of walking barefoot inside our feet were black. There was hair left in the showers and the rug shown in the pics of the living room wasn't there. I called the management company to complain and to their credit they sent a maid over the next day. She did a very perfunctory cleaning job but when she left we could still see an inch of dust bunnies under the still filthy couch. What looked clean and bright in the Photos turned out to be Ikea cheap and dirty. I would be able to overlook all of this except for the fact that we were charged a 140 dollar non-refundable cleaning fee. I assume all tenants are charged this but considering the state of the apartment I dont know where this money is going. A quick once over with a swifter is just not going to cut it. Hopefully the management company or the owner will deal with these problems and buy a washable slip-cover for the couch. It could have been a great experience but we were left frustrated.

  • We had a nice time at this rental property. I would recommend staying here: the apartment was in a good location, it was in good shape inside, and it accommodated 8 people well. That said, we had a few issues:
1)Reserving this property was a real pain. It is very different than the normally easy Airbnb process. They require a five page application to be filled out with lots of detail. They have a very strict check in policy - if you do not check in during the right window, they will charge you $40. (Here's the REALLY silly part: We worked really hard to get a friend approved to do check in and thereby avoid the $40 fee. At the last minute, they told us it was OK to do self check in. What a waste of effort for everyone involved!)
2)The floors at this property were quite dirty. Everything else was clean but the floors were quite dirty!
3)This is probably true in all of LA, but street parking was a real pain. The one reserved spot was very convenient but our friends had a hard time with parking in this residential neighborhood.

  • Newly renovated home, great place and it was fun. Most of the attractions were close enough (other than Disney) but overall it was a good one.
