This charming 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is set in the heart of Chicago's opulent Gold Coast neighborhood.
LOCATION: The fabulous restaurants and nightlife of Rush Street and the Famous Chicago PUMP ROOM in the Public Hotel are only a 2 - 3 minute walk. The closeness to the famous Magnificent Mile automatically results in a large variety of restaurants, bars, shops and the the beautiful Lake Michigan. Previous guests have frequently commented on the delightful location of the apartment especially the excellent travel links to any destination in this wonderful city. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line Division Street Station is a quick 5-minute walk away.
THE APARTMENT: This unit displays some modern accents but has those traditional Gold Coast traces underlining the age of the house. It benefits from its own entrance. As you enter you'll find yourself in the coziest of living rooms accentuated by a warm fireplace, making it ideal for those cold winter nights in Chicago. To your left you'll find a beautiful and comfortable sofa from Room and Board. Feel free to sit down and relax, provided you do not have a 3rd guest staying with you. Regardless, enjoy high speed internet and large LCD screen TV with cable and DVD player. To the right - as you walk in the apartment - you'll find access to the kitchen, which is equipped with all of the necessary appliances and utensils you'll likely need. Feel free to confirm if we have specific items. We very likely do. : )
The kitchen and dining room areas lead into a hallway, which takes you to the bathroom and bedroom.* Guests will appreciate the hair dryer, iron, towels and soaps.
HIGHLIGHTS: The walls of the apartments are decorated with a mix of Banksy Graffiti prints and original paintings from American artist, Surface. All guests will enjoy clean bedding, towels and a bathroom stocked with shampoo and bath soap.
The apartment comfortably accommodates a max of 3 people. There's a queen bed for a couple or friends and a couch for 1 person. Should you have a party larger than 3, please understand you will need to pack an air mattress and necessary linens in order to sleep on the living room rug. We don't recommend sleeping on the rug. There's hardwood underneath, but if that's your thing, more power to you.
PARKING: Free overnight/long term street parking is available. While we don't have an assigned spot for you, you'll seldom have difficulty finding a parking spot, particularly b/w 6am - 6pm. I'll admit finding parking after 6pm proves very difficult. We also urge our guests to read the street signage THOROUGHLY to ensure that you are not parking on a permit only street or a street with time restrictions. If you'd like to put your car in a garage, there are pay to park garages nearby (within 1 - 2 blocks). If you choose to park in a garage, it may cost you b/w $14 - $40/night. If you have the option not to bring your car, don't bring it, unless you don't mind paying for parking or dealing with street parking.
*Disclaimer: As this is an old building, please understand that the heating radiators can make some noise as they kick-on. Most people (including us) sleep through this short-lived process, but keep this in mind in the event that it wakes you up. The radiators are turned off during the summer so disregard if you're a summer guest.

Omar was a gracious host and helped us out promptly when we had a problem with the key. The apartment is in a safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants and public transportation within a couple of blocks. I would return to this listing in the future.
Omar is very quick and helpful with all the questions and inquiry. The stay was pleasant. The location is nice and quiet. I would go back to stay here again :)
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The positive reviews we read about Omar were all accurate! We arrived an hour early and Omar was gracious enough to allow us to leave our bags and get something to eat while the final prep on the apartment was done. The apartment had so much charm and was beautifully decorated. The number one thing for sure was the location - we will never stay in any other neighbourhood now! Gold Coast is so beautiful and historic, and we could not believe our proximity to everything we wanted to do - Magnificent Mile, Architecture Boat Cruise, Lincoln Park, the waterfront, Old Town, Rush St, downtown, Millennium Park, Art Institute, restaurants, shopping. We walked everywhere and didn't use the L Train at all except to go out to Wrigley Field. We felt like we were honorary Chicagoins for a few days and looking at prices of hotels in the same area, we feel the apartment was an incredible value. Omar was very prompt whenever we had to text him and was very helpful. Thank you so much to Omar for making our first experience in Chicago such a wonderful one.
Omar's apartment is well-located and Omar is a communicative, accommodating, and responsive host from start to finish. The apartment is a 7 minute walk from Chicago's red-line, the main route through the city, and close to the charming neighborhood of Oldtown. The apartment is located in an old, historic brownstone, so for those looking for brand-shiny-new, this apartment will not suit you -- for instance, the water pressure is not always the best. However, it's perfect for those looking to experience a historic part of the city. Omar has the place well appointed for guests; the WiFi works great, and the apartment building is quiet and safe with little street noise.
Omar was great, made sure we we're cool for table and settled in. The area cannot be beat. Beautiful homes all around, the original playboy mansion is 2 buildings away.
Unbelievably great and convenient location, nicely decorated apartment and since we had a car, his inclusion of a parking pass was HUGE. Omar was a pleasure to deal with- very responsive, followed-up with us to ensure that everything was working-out, and his apartment was exactly as-advertised. When visiting Chicago- I would strongly recommend his place- you won't need a car if you plan on taking advantage of the multitude of things to do in the downtown area.
This was a very charming and comfortable apartment. The location was ideal for exploring Chicago. Our host Omar was very accommodating and easy to work with. We would stay there again when we return to Chicago.
Perfect location in a charming old building. We loved to walk to the center of the city, but the bus system is convenient too.
Had a great experience in Omar's apartment. The neighborhood is lovely, and has easy access points for getting downtown. Omar's directions are clear and easy-to-follow, and communication with him was seamless.
About the apartment itself: the decor is hip and well-curated, and all the essentials, from paper towels to linens, were in stock and easily accessible. TV is HD and has cable, and there's wireless Internet.
Not to mention, you can't beat the price. Highly recommended.
