About this listing
Our home is an ideal rental for a small family (with 2 kids sleeping in bunk beds), or just 2 adults. We're located in a very safe and quiet part of Venice east of Lincoln. If you're 4 adults...you'd need to rent the house with the studio.
Our 1400 sq ft eco-friendly home was built just 3 years ago, using reclaimed lumber, and it is also powered by the sun (solar.)
We are just a few minutes stroll through Venice's "Walk Streets" to Abbot Kinney Blvd (recently named 'the coolest street in America' - GQ). And a 15 min walk or 5 min bike ride to the famous Venice boardwalk and beach. Ask us about great places to eat and things to do and see!
The open plan home was built for true indoor/outdoor living, with large sliding doors and patios at both the front and rear of the house. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, wireless Sonos sound system indoor/outdoor, a gas grill, an outdoor dining area, off-street parking, state of the art espresso maker, and high definition projector for a true at-home-theater experience.
Master bedroom: California King bed from DWR with ultra comfortable latex mattress, fine 15000c linens, step in shower with rain head and skylights.
Second Bedroom: Modern Bunk Beds
You're also free to use our beach cruisers (at your own risk/responsibility.)

Venice needs no intro. Hip & Bohemian neighborhood where anyone in sandals can be either a millionaire or homeless.
It's LA. So, not really
Other Things to Note
The main house is not suited for 4 adults. The bunk beds in the kids room are best for (hmmm) kids.
The house is priced competitively to rent on the days we like to travel + there might be a chance that the studio in the back is rented separately.
If you want to rent the entire property (main house + detached studio).. we can also offer our studio as 3rd bedroom in addition for an extra fee of $150/night. Check out: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1546014

Frank was a great host; very communicative, responded to my questions and special issues quickly. The transaction of reserving, moving in and out couldn't have been smoother.
The house itself is pretty amazing, as the photos attest..full of cool, funky art pieces...but still really comfortable. Really well situated on a very quiet street, but only a few steps from Lincoln Blvd and a quick walk to Abbot Kinney.
Highly recommended, and will definitely book again on my next trip to LA.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette charmante maison.
We really had a good time in LA. The house was lovely and the kids enjoyed playing with Fritz!
Frank and Nikki's house was perfect! We were party of 4, two teens (13 and 15 years old), my husband and I, and we loved it! Frank was so friendly And helpfull. The house has a really good taste, we have everything at the kitchen, and the bathrooms were awsome. Close to the venice beach, we rented bikes and we did rides from the house to the beach everyday. Thanks frank, was great to meet you.
Frank and Nikki's place is super-cool. You'll find 'home-from-home' comfort with way cooler gadgets and even more toys. We were in LA for a family reunion - folk from Sydney and NYC convened in Venice for a week and this was an amazing setting for our holiday. Frank and Nikki went out of their way to make room for the whole gang - 4 grown-ups and 4 kids - drafting in air beds and port-a-cots to squeeze us all in. We loved eating in AND out - Pitfire Pizza was great for dinner with the kids, Lemonade on Abbott Kinney does a whole host of yummy stuff for a quick, canteen style meal and Deus ex Machina was at the end of the block for our morning joe. With Wholefoods round the corner and Venice and Santa Monica a short drive away, we had everything we needed at our fingertips. If you're staying with kids make sure to check out Clover Park on Ocean Pk Blvd - it's next to the local Santa Monica airstrip and has a 'control tower' the kids can climb for a birds-eye view. It was such a great vacation, we created some great memories and had trouble tearing ourselves away. Thanks so much to our fantastic hosts!
My husband and I wanted to spend a few days in Venice near the beach with our two young children. We chose Frank's home because it looked clean, modern, and kid-friendly. We were really pleased with our accommodations. The house is just a short drive to Abbott Kinney where there is great shopping and restaurants. it is also close to both Venice and Santa Monica beaches!
The house has a great backyard which is perfect for relaxing and lounging any time with couches, firepit, grassy area and sun chairs. The kids enjoyed playing and the house has sliding doors that open to the outside decks that offer some air and lots of natural light.
The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and modern. We didn't eat in much but it has all the amenities. And great media- Sonos sound system, Netflix and tv that projects onto the wall!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Even kitty Fritz was a real love bug and super sweet. We highly recommend this home. It was our home away from home for a long weekend and we hope to stay there again sometime!
staying at franks place was the best decision we could make. the place is very nice furnished and one feels home by the moment you open the doors for the first time. this place really got it all, sons audio for music in every room, netflix on hd video beamer... just loved it to even stay at home and watch movies during our holidays.
the outsde is really cozy with a big table, bbq and a new lounge in the garden which wasn`t even mentioned but makes frank`s place even more special. especially for young families this place is heaven. the children's room has tons of toys and our 3 year old loved it.
frank as a host is a dream. all the correspondence upfront was easy and quick. we weren`t sure when to arrive exactly, even in dates, but frank was easy and we had, even though we just knew us via mail, a very trustful relation on everything. even the great wines he has at home... :)
frank is a very cool guy with lots of insights on venice and LA which was very helpful with us, as we were new to the city. he really helped us where he could and even sent us places u would look for, but never find. off the tourist paths and where the local scene hangs out...
to make a long story short.
frank is cool as hell. his place too. and if you do not experience a good time at his place it is you who did not make it...
We had a wonderful week at this beautiful house. Our small daughters loved the room and their bathroom, not to mention running around the child friendly garden. The house is not only welcoming and spacious, it is also finished to a very high standard. The location is great as well. Highly recommended. The house was hard to leave on the day!
