Check In
  • Perfect stay: Michel and Odile are exquisite hosts, they are kind, discreet and make you feel home. An incredible view on the square from windows and balconies. Rich breakfast served also late in the morning (there's no established hours for breakfast, and so it is for check in and check out, and flexibility is everything on holiday). A bunch of tourist information, guides, art books about Marseille in the room so that you have everything you need to know about the city on hand. We couldn't have found a better accomodation to visit Marseille.

  • We had a very great time in Marseille. Michel et Odile are very good host! There was not even one question left open. Especially Michel took care about everything without being overwellming. The place is realy nice and colourfull and clean. We loved it there an would stay there again any time.

  • We had a very pleasant stay with Michel and Odile. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and had loads of information about where to go and what to see in Marseille.

The location of the apartment is excellent with tram and Metro stops just around the corner and Gare St Charles just a short walk away.

  • Really enjoyed and appreciated the heartly and warm welcome of Michel und Odile who really made me to always remember this summer as "the grand one". They always make me fell my stay not as a tourist but as a guest in the best sense! I even enjoyed several evenings together with the family. But besides of this: They really provided any kind of support who made the stay comfortable; to find out the right spots, making reservations and trained my French (as well as my English...).
The room was nice, clean and not too hot regardless outer temperatures partly above 30 degrees celsius. The ventilator was very useful; and even whole day stays in the room were fine.
The apartment is ideally located to conveniently reach almost every place in Marseille (15 minutes walk to the Old Harbour) within some minutes; especially the bike rental service "le velo" was of great help.
I really enjoyed my stay and can only recommend this room and its friendly hosts! Looking forward to return somedays!

  • Michel and Odile have been very warm and nice to us. It has not been a problem for them that we arrived at midnight and they made feel us as at home.
The breakfast is very nice, the shower too, the view from the house is magic! They really love Marseill and it is definitely worthy to go at their place!

  • Nice turn of the century apartment in a colorful neighborhood but if you go in summer be prepared to endure the heat. The apartment is drafty but the guest room gets little wind. The owner insisted on keeping all the doors closed and this is because of the draft that may shatter the glass on some of the doors. He purchased a fan after 2 days I was there. I believe he felt sorry for me for I was quite hot after a whole day out on foot. I personally didn't care for the area although convenient to train station and if you're on foot be prepared to walk up a steep hill. I would say if you're not bothered by noisy streets and and old buildings, this place is good value for your money especially in peak season.

  • The house is wonderful, bohemienne style in the centre of Marseille, just five minutes walking from Gare Saint Charles, very close to the metro Réformés Canebière, ten-fifteen minutes walking to Vieux Port.
It has a superb view on the city rooftops.
Michel and Odile are very friendly and they will give you tips about the city they love if asked.
Breakfast is included and it is served in the huge dining room.
Very recommended for a truly Marseille experience!
I would come back there for sure, and I will one day!

  • Michel and Odile are a very nice couple. I can't say enough about the location of their home. It was perfect. They really seemed to understand me as a traveler and were able to answer my question and offer suggestions that fit my wants and needs. It was such a pleasure to explore Marseilles. It is a city with a great history.

  • Michel and Odile were very welcoming. Me and my friend were made to feel incredibly comfortable on our short trip in Marseille! Highly recommended.

  • My stay in Marseille was very short but Michel made me feel very welcome there. Odile was away so I didn't get to meet her. The room was very big and cosy and the breakfast Michel made in the morning was a big bonus. Their place is within walking distance to the train station and old port so it's very convenient. There's also a great view of Notre Dame de la Gard from their dining room.

---- Michel is 62 years old, Odile is 55, with 3 children who live by their own : Jeremy (IT engineer), who lives in Marseille, with his wife and 2 young daughters, Aurelien (fashion designer) who lives in Beijing, and Valentine (professional cook) who lives in Paris. Young minded, we have a very free way of life, and we are busy : we work a lot, Odile in musical culture, and she sings, and I in internet and editing business. We have a lot of associatives activities too. We have a professional office at home, and outside too, no pets, many friends (often artists), and we often are out in evening ; anyway we like have a drink and share some wine. We speak english but not very fluent (but we progress), and we like meet new people from abroad. We travelled in many places around the world. Our home is full of souvenirs from everywhere.
