Comfortable place, friendly and helpful host!
At first we had trouble getting in contact with Elitsa, because we had no service on our phone. We ended up waiting at the door for a while. But other than that the room had a nice heater to stay warm, and reliable internet, so you can use (website hidden) credit to call outside the door if you have no sercive, but have a computer or smartphone. All of the necessities were provided and it was just what we needed. It's about a 20 minute walk (on basically the same road) to city centre which was great, we got some exercise and learned our way around. Overall we enjoyed our stay but wished we had met our hostess!
Only had slight communication issues but other than that Elitsa was a great host!
The location of the apartment is really good. You can walk to the centre within 25minutes. The accommodation itself was also good. The only thing is that there are only other guests in the house so there is no contact with locals.
I have chosen Airbnb to save some money for a weekend trip in Dublin with my girlfriend.
i arrived at Elitsas place and an older woman opened the door. The apartment is in walking distance to the city center. (15-20 min). The room was nice and the heater warmed up the room fast.
I liked the room but not the apartment. The apartment is really cold and the walking distance between the bathroom and the bedroom is to far if it is that cold.
another problem was that at the first day there was temporary a problem with the shower and on the second day we had no electricity for while. which bothered us because we were hungry and we couldn't cook.
The older woman didn't speak a good english at all and elitsa didnot answer my message when i texted her the problems with the electricity.
Probably next time i would prefer to spend a bit more money for staying in a hotel to avoid these kind of problems.
Patrick was a difficult guest. He sent me rude texts complaining from the lack of electricity (the electrical company fixed it quickly in 1 hour) and I replied giving him the latest information when the supply will be on. Also the house warmth is a responsibility of every guest as it is written how to switch the heating on in the house manual provided.
This address is located about 30 or 40 minutes' walk outside of the Dublin city center, or a very easy 10-15 minute bus ride away. The neighborhood seemed quiet, mostly residential, and not terribly interesting (though not in a bad way).
The room was spacious and well-furnished, and the rest of the house--kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, etc.--were available to use. A couple of extra blankets would have been appreciated, but the space heater worked wonders.
We never got to meet Elitsa, but the housekeepers were very helpful!
My stay with Elitsa was overall pleasant, although not without a few confusions.
The room was lovely and large, with a small fridge and table which made it easy to have breakfast in the morning. A small heater was inside the room, which sufficiently warmed the area.
Elitsa herself was also helpful; when my friend and I were struggling to find somewhere to hang our clothes, Elitsa overheard us and provided us with a drying rack.
Although, it should be noted that Elitsa is not who is featured in the photograph, and occasionally there were communication difficulties (for example, we struggled to explain that the dishes needed to soak before washing them thoroughly, whilst Elitsa insisted we wash them immediately)
However, these are not truly issues, and the stay was lovely, her house hospitable.
Rhianon was a lovely guest who is always welcome back! I need to explain however that there is a housekeeper in the house because I do not live there so actually Rhianon was served by the housekeeper called Lucy and this is the reason for the picture differences she saw on my profile. :)
The room looked exactly like the pictures. The room itself was a pretty good deal compared to other places in the city. The cons are that it's pretty cold once you leave your room to go to the kitchen and bathroom and you have to walk 15 mn to the city centre, but I would certainly recommend.
