Welcome to Randwick!
I have a great room available in my art deco apartment in Randwick which is just a 10 minute walk from Coogee Beach! It’s on a quiet street and 5 minutes’ walk to Randwick Junction – which is a transport hub for the area and has all the shops you need for a holiday – food, bottle stores, chemists, newsagent, banks, cafes and a huge selection of great (and cheap) restaurants.
The room is small but really warm and sunny, with drawer space and a super comfy sofa bed. It's perfect for a girl/guy travelling alone or a couple on a budget - I am well travelled so know how nice it is to be able to have some personal space after weeks or months of travelling, this is your chance to be able to spread youself out for a few days!
The lounge features a TV/DVD and ipod dock, along with a dining table and chairs, and two large comfy sofas - perfect for chilling out on to watch dvds!. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need and theres a washing machine (no dryer unfortunately) but over summer clothes dry super quickly on the line in the back yard (very safe) or there is a laundry five minutes away who are cheap. The bathroom is clean with a great high pressure shower!
There is no parking with the apartment, but there is plenty of street parking in the area. The apartment is located just five minutes from Randwick Junction which has regular buses to the city, Central Station, Airport, Coogee and Bondi Junction, so a car really isn’t needed to stay here. Coogee Beach and Centennial Park is a short 10 minute walk away, as is the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick.
It costs just $4.50 to get to Randwick on the 400 bus from the airport, and there are also regular buses to Central Station by bus (372, 376). It’s an easy walk to Coogee Beach but there are also buses (374, 373) and various buses to Bondi Junction (phone number hidden)). The city is just a short bus ride (around 20 – 30 minutes depending on traffic) on the 373 and 377 buses.
Randwick Racecourse is a 15 minute walk away. There are several excellent restaurants at the end of the street, along with at The Spot which is 10 minutes’ walk. It also features the cute Randwick Ritz Cinema, which is an art deco theatre and just $12 for adults ($8 on a Tuesday!).
Randwick is a great location for exploring the Eastern Suburbs and Sydney. There is the Coogee to Bondi Walk which takes around 1 ½ - 2 hours to walk and has stunning views of the coastline. Coogee is full of great cafes and restaurants including the Coogee Bay Hotel which has one of the best garden bars to be found!
Surroundings areas such as Newtown, Surry Hill and Paddington are all easily accessible from here.
I provide breakfast - toast, cereal, tea, coffee (plunger and stovetop), fresh milk and all the basics you need for a stay. I love to cook, so if you are desperate for a home cooked meal, I am happy to whip something up!
Please note that I do not have internet however the cafe at the end of the street has wifi. They have delicious coffee and are open till late every night!

It was good being with Kerryn&Brent. Brent was cool and friendly. Though we didn't see Kerryn much, her kind letter and map was helpful. Breakfast she prepared was yummy to hungry traveler. Her house is in great location nearby beach and shopping center. Bed is comfy window is big and there is rope across the room so we could hang our clothes. Thanks Kerryn&Brent
Quiet apartment, well located in a cool quarter
Kerryn and Brent are authencic; very friendly and helpful
Definitely a place to stay in Sydney
Go and meet them!
Thanks for everything
My stay with Kerryn was lovely, she is a really considerate and thoughtful host. The run is fresh and comfortable and the house is in a great location to stroll down to coogee beach.
Kerryn has been quick responding to our requests and kindly provided very detailed guidance on how to find the place upon arriving. The apartment is located on a street with lovely view of the sea in the far end and quiet, convenient neighborhood - Kerryn also prepared a lovely map with locations of adjacent stores/cafes and public transportation system well-connected to the city central. Nice facilities in the sunny bedroom/living room and kitchen. Walking distance to Coogee beach (20min) is a big plus. Overall, a real good stay I'd recommend.
Excellent communications and convenience provided to get settled in. Good value when compared to $ for other Sydney budget accommodations. Found out bus is the way to go in Sydney. Bus stops 2-4 blocks away. Excellent cafes within 2-4 blocks. Kerryn and Brent both made us feel at home and welcome. Both provided us with good guidelines and advice for Sydney
Kerryn and Brent were both really friendly and happy to help with any questions. She provided us with a local map of the area which was really helpful. Would recommend staying there 100%. Great location and very central.
Kerryn was a wonderful host - she made us feel very welcome and helped us out with maps and directions to places in Sydney. The apartment and room was lovely, very homely! The neighbourhood was good too - a short walk to coogee beach and good transport links.

I am a kiwi living in Sydney, a city which I love! I have done a lot of travelling over the last 10 years so I know how nice it is to have the comforts of home when I'm away.
I love to cook, and entertain friends, head to the beach for a swim, and like ot relax at the end of the day with a glass of red wine.
I am very easy going and would love to make my home available to others who want to spend some time in this great city.
