The Space

Stay on the fringe of the CBD in an award winning apartment complex. Great fully furnished apartment with comfortable, firm queen size bed, Plenty of storage space. Good size bathroom with bath/shower & vanity, internal laundry, fully functional kitchen (with dishwasher, gas top stove & microwave) and a comfy lounge & dining area. Wi-Fi access, 40" HD TV. Sit on the 7th floor balcony and have a cuppa or a glass of wine and enjoy the view back to the city overlooking Edward Resch park.

The area: The bustling trendy cusp of East Redfern and Waterloo. Perfectly situated between the city and the beach. There is a fantastic new supermarket right on the doorstep and plenty of great cafes, restaurants and take away food places. The art & design precinct of Dank St is just one block away and has great cafes, galleries & homeware shops, including the famous Sonoma Bakery & Wah Wah Lounge. It's a short cab ride from the airport – domestic & international. The Entertainment Quarter with its cinema complex and markets is a 20 minute walk away through Moore Park.

The City Centre is 3ks away, the frequent bus service is 1 block away and they take you through the city down to Circular Quay & The Opera House. You can easily walk to Hyde Park through the iconic suburb of Surry Hills with its restaurants, cafes, eclectic small bars & unique shops.

For those of you who like to keep fit while on holiday, the complex has a 25m outdoor pool with plenty of room around it for sunbathing, there is a gym next to the pool and for the joggers among you, the apartment is right next to Moore Park which leads into the stunning Centennial Park. And its just a short walk to Moore Park Golf Course & driving range.

The complex has 24 hour security and there is almost always parking available. The apartment is west facing and can get very warm on hot summer evening, there is no air con but there are block out blinds and fans. Also there are screens on all the windows and balcony so you can open them up completely and not have to worry about being woken up by a mosquito.

I rent out my apartment when I travel or house sit for friends. There is a possibility that I can rent out my place for short term stays (mid week being easier) and I can stay with friends. If you are looking for something for a few days, message me, I may be able to assist. Cheers

Interaction with Guests

I will not be present when you are staying. I will meet you to let you and give you a tour of the apartment and also the complex if need be. Please contact me with any questions you have during your stay (or prior). I work just around the corner so check in time is flexible.

The Neighborhood

I love that I have everything I need on my doorstep and don't need to leave the neighbourhood on the weekend if I don't need to. I have put together a booklet of what the area has to offer that guests can use while they are here.
Personal favourites are St Jude cafe, Wah Wah Lounge, Maya De Dhaba Indian restaurant, Kepos St Kitchen, Bourke St Bakery.
There is a big new Coles Supermarket right on the doorstep open from 7am until 11pm most nights. There is a pharmacy, newsagents and heaps of great little take away food places.
The complex has a great wine shop called Vine and the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

Getting Around

There is a bus stop diagonally opposite the apartment complex. The (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) busses take you through the city to Circular Quay and the M20 takes you to Central Railway Station. These buses are very frequent. The M20 is a prepay bus, you cannot pay with cash and must have a ticket before boarding. The newsagent between the complex and the bus stop (right next to Coles Supermarket) sells travel ten tickets which give you 10 trips on the bus, and Opal cards which allow you to keep topping up your credit.
It is a 20/25 minute walk to Central Railway Station where the vast majority of city & State trains go through.
Bourke St is one of the main accesses to Sydney Airport and there are always cabs available right outside.
This is not an area where you need a car. If you have one there is nearly always parking in the complex.
