Interaction with Guests
We live at the property & will greet you and show you around.We are working professionals so at times are not always available to answer questions until the evenings when we arrive home. We are happy to be contacted on our mobiles at anytime if you have any questions and help out with any queries you may have. Mark occasionally needs to work from home in our office upstairs - so feel free to give him a holler if you need anything.
We enjoy company & also respect privacy.
Great location in Bronte/Waverley, often referred to as Charing Cross Village, is very safe & accessible to public transport to beaches, shopping & public transport: 10-15 minute walk to Tamarama/Bronte beaches, 30-45 minutes to Bondi Beach along the glorious coastal walk, less than 5 minute walk to buses for Randwick, Airport, Bondi Beach & city centre. 3 minute walk to the vibrant Charing Cross village with restaurants, pubs, supermarket and shops and pubs.
There are a number of buses that serve the local area, the city & Eastern suburbs. Bondi Junction is a major transport hub for buses and trains & is only a 10 minute walk away. We are 20 minutes from the airport via taxi. The number 400 bus to the airport is less than 10 minutes walk away, it is a 45 minute ride. Or you can take the train from Bondi Junction to the airport, which takes about 30 minutes (one line change line required).
Although our street offers free parking this is can be limited at times. We have no control over parking availability in the area.

Access to the house is for the paying guests only and we request that you respect our privacy and not invite people to your room or to the house without asking us prior. There is a fee for additional guests which will be charged if you have friends stay.
Please feel free to use kitchen facilities, with the expectation you will supply your own food and clean up after yourself.
If you do break/lose something from the house we will show understanding, however we expect that you will replace or fix it.
Although we live in a very safe neighbourhood security is important to us - if you are the last person to leave the house please ensure all windows & doors are locked and the front door is double locked when you leave.
We try to keep our environmental impact as low as possible, please use the recycle bin, remember to turn lights, heaters and appliances off when not in use, & only FULL loads of washing in the machine please. If less than a full load of washing a fee of $4/load will be charged.
Fresh towels will be provided for house use only and changed every 3 days.
If you are staying longer than 1 week clean bed linen will be provided for you to change, we will not enter your room whilst you are staying. We will wash all dirty linen, just please leave it in the laundry .
Please do not use our internet connection to illegally download entertainment.
Very accurate listing. Close to Bronte beach, cafes, shopping and lots more. So great to walk up the road and have a pick of lovely places to eat and so close to Bondi Junction also.
Helen and Mark have been very welcoming and accommodating. Also got fresh towels every few days- lush!
I have had to work a little while I am here and the desk in the room facing the garden has been perfect!
Would definitely stay again.
The location was excellent, particularly if you don't have a car. You can walk to the beach in 20 mins (and get the bus back if you want - it's quite a steep hill!) or walk to Bondi a Junction in 15 mins - full of shops, bars, restaurants, cinema and a main transport hub into the city. And the nearby shops are just round the corner and are fine for your day-to-day needs.
The house was good. It had everything I needed and it was great having sole use of the family bathroom. My bedroom was clean and functional - not huge, but with loads of cupboard space and a useful desk looking out over the garden it had everything I needed.
Helen and Mark made me very welcome. They were friendly without being overpowering, always available to answer any questions I had.
I would certainly recommend this house if you are looking for a quiet stay in a great location.
Staying with Mark and Helen was our first Airbnb experience and we were so pleased. We were visiting our daughter who lived nearby so it was perfect for us. The house is really well positioned not too far from Bondi Junction and a beach which can both be walked to + buses nearby.
Both Mark and Helen were very friendly and welcoming, providing a clean double bedroom and use of our own bathroom which was nice. Mark explained that there was space in the fridge/cupboard for our food and we could use the kitchen which would be very useful for some guests, however we were out most of the time visiting family so did not use this opportunity.
We only stayed 3 days and did not get a chance to sit in the garden but hope to return again.
Helen and Mark were very friendly and accommodating. I was able to cook in the kitchen and I had my own bathroom.
The location is good too. It’s about 12 minutes walk to Bondi Junction train station, which has lots of restaurants and grocery stores around it.
My friend and I stayed with Helen and Mark for a week in November 2014. They are both lovely people, the house is nice and clean, and the location is great. I would definitely stay here again and I truly recommend them.

I stayed with Helen and Mark 13 nights and I always would like to come again. They are very helpful and very lovely people, in every situation they had an open ear for me .
