My husband and I are making our cozy guest room available for your vacation rental. The trundle day bed rolls out from underneath and pops up to form a nice big, comfortable king-size bed. Or, if you prefer, roll trundle across the room and sleep separately in 2 twin beds.
It's pretty impossible to get nice open views in NYC apartments, but you will have a wonderful city view, and tons of sunlight! Also, a great view of The Empire State Building and Yankee Stadium from the rooftop!!

Rhonda & Jared E.
Rhonda and Jared were lovely hosts. The location of the apartment was ideal as it was about a minute walk to the subway, and the surrounding neighborhood is lovely. Definitely a great host as well as experience!
My friend and I spent a few days here on our trip to New York city. Overall I can say that the accomadation was fantastic and the hosts were very helpful at helping us get to places within the city. The area itself is nice with an outstanding view on the rooftop!!!
ps: The bed itself was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in..... brilliant :)
cheers and good luck with everything Jared and Rhonda
We stayed for three days to go sightseeing and get to know the city a little more, and boarding with Rhonda and Jared was an absolute pleasure. They are a very nice couple who know a lot about the city and will answer any questions and accommodations. The apartment is very clean and homey, and the mattresses and pillows made us feel like we had a good night's rest at home. Rhonda and Jared were really sweet and pointed out good places to explore and opened up their home to us. It was a wonderful stay and a very short walk to the subway! We highly recommend staying here (:
This terrific room was just what I needed. But more important - the hosts; buildings, apartments may change, but the hosts will stay the same. And that's great news here, b/c Rhonda and husband Jared are top-notch. Considerate, generous, tidy, and lots of fun.
Bonuses: easy access to roof for views, plenty of stores nearby, subway half-block away (3 stops / 15 min to Times Sq), laundry in basement, freedom to cook in kitchen.... A GREAT BARGAIN!
Rhonda and Jared have a lovely apartment. It's very homey, cosy and clean. It has all you need, and the beds are also very comfy. This was the first time we used airbnb and it turned out to be a great experience. We would have loved to spend more time with our hosts, they're such a nice and friendly couple!, but NYC is huge and took most of our time! We would definitely recommend this place!
Rhonda and Jared are great hosts! We stayed with them for 5 days, and during the one of them was a Sandy Hurricane. They were extremely helpful, provided us with all needed staff and information. We felt ourselves very comfortable and safe with them.
The apartment is clean and cosy. The location is also very good. 2 minute walk to subway and in 15-20 minutes you’re in the city centre (42st). We were lucky and because of hurricane it took us about 1.5 hours to walk to 59st along the Central Park, or 25 minutes by bus, or 7-10 minutes by taxi.
The people are amazing, everything is clean, location is good, the cat is too shy, it will never disturb you, only by saying “hi” very rarely. We would choose this couple for our next staying in NYC.
My brother and I stayed with Jared and Rhonda for a week and absolutely loved it. We didn't see Rhonda much due to her work schedule but Jared had some great stories to share about Broadway.
The room itself is small but we are fairly neat folks and were out all day so it wasn't a big deal. There is only one washroom in the apartment but if you coordinate your timing or if you start your day quite early, then there was never a wait.
The building itself is a very classic, very vintage structure. While there is an elevator, it was kind of fun skipping down the six flights of stairs each morning. Jared and Rhonda gave us a set of keys to the building and the apartment so we were always able to come and go as we pleased.
The building's location is very convenient! It's less than half a block to the A, B, C and D trains - I'm not kidding. We timed it and it was probably a two or three minute walk from the front door to the subway platform. (If you're taking the subway between the apartment and JFK, which we did, it's a long trip - about an hour and a half - but an easy and CHEAP one.)
Do note that the neighbourhood is very far uptown. Heading back to the apartment in the middle of the day just to drop off a jacket isn't always the best use of your time, depending on where you're exploring.
I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you already have a good idea of what you want to do in New York City. It's definitely a good 'home base' to check in and crash each night but may not be the type of neighbourhood for a first-time wanderer in the city. We were out often so we didn't spend much time with Jared and Rhonda but the few interactions we had with them were wonderful.
Voici une adresse tranquille pour échapper aux bruits et à l'agitation de Manhattan. Harlem est un quartier cool. Le confort est simple et bon, l'accès très facile. Rhonda, merci pour votre accueil.
This place was great. We appreciated our extremely friendly and welcoming hosts, who made us feel at home. We loved how close their place was to the subway. The bedroom was small but accommodating, with 2 beds and air conditioning.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Rhonda and Jared's home for six nights and we liked it very much! The house is very nice and it's clean, the room is precious, just a little bit small for two people with big luggages but if you plan to visit NYC you will not stay a lot of time at home so you won't have problems!:):):)
There are also two beautiful cats but if you are not an animal lover, don't worry cause they are very shy and they were almost invisible during our stay..
The flat is very near to the metro so it's convenient to visit NY!
In conclusion, Rhonda and Jared are very friendly and you will find like at home at their home, so I advice this accomodation at everyone!!!:):):)
