Keiko made us very welcome and kept in touch with us during our stay. The Condo was just as described. It was very clean. The balcony is only tiny but big enough for the two of us to sit out. The kitchen had everything needed which meant we could eat in if we wanted to. There is an ABC shop across the road, this is a type of general store and they sell prepared snacks too. We did not hire a car and walked or caught the local buses everywhere. The beach is about 10 minutes walk, as is downtown Waikiki. The bus or trolley stop is just across the road or around the corner. You can go everywhere on them. We also did a couple of day tours. There is so much to see in and around Waikiki and Honolulu we still had not seen all that we wanted to by the time we left and we were there 12 days. The only thing that wasn't perfect....there was construction work happening on the block downstairs which was very noisy during the day and we had to close the balcony door. However, I presume this is only temporary. We would stay here again.
Keiko was very friendly and accommodating. She also has a lot of helpful information collected in a binder for guests. The condo was very clean and pleasant, and in a good location. It's within walking distance of everything Waikiki has to offer. I would certainly go back, and also recommend it to others.
Keiko's studio apartment was just what we were looking for. Close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants and then there was Keiko. We could not have asked for a better host. She met us ahead of check in, gave us options on low cost parking, provided great restaurant suggestions and was always only a phone call away if we needed her. Great host, perfect location, and very fair price!
Staying with Keiko was really great. The room is very nice and fresh smelling, with a kitchen and A/C, and the bed is very comfortable. Keiko was very responsive to phone calls and messages. Would absolutely recommend staying here!
We had 12 days in Keiko's place and it was a great experience for us. Keiko welcomed us on the arrival day and gave us some cookies and drinks to start us off which was a lovely thought. She went through everything about the place and gave us great advice about restaurants and happy hours. She also gave us a call the day or two after to ensure everything was ok.
Everything was working well in the room and it is definitely spacious enough for a couple. Everything is there as described and the little things like coffee filters and beach gear was much appreciated.
The location is great and a short walk to the beach which we went to almost every day. It is also a short walk to the shopping/restaurant area with ample choices. Bus stops are nearby and the car rental place across the road is conveniently located.
We would definitely recommend the place to others.
Keiko was a wonderful host! I look forward to staying at this place again, for sure!! Great location, close to beach, shopping, great for nightlife!
My partner and I spent 6 nights at Keiko's place and it was everything that it says it is and more. Keiko is a great host and has thought of everything you could probably need during your stay (including small things like luggage scales, sewing kit, maps, bus planners, you name it, it's probably there!).
She also contacted us after our first day to make sure everything was OK and has been in touch since our departure.
The room has everything as previously mentioned in reviews and in the listing. The hotel is conveniently located, a short walk through a lovely park to the beach, as well as places to eat and of course expensive shops are nearby.
It's quite noisy due to the traffic (I live in the quiet country!) but if you shut the balcony door and put the fan/aircon on you won't hear much at all. The pool on the 1st floor isn't huge but perfectly big enough to get wet and splash about in on a hot day.
This was a great base and I would highly recommend it to others. Thanks Keiko for a wonderful stay and for being so attentive.
The only warning to fellow travellers is that the buses don't allow you on with big luggage (even on the route to/from the airport), which I find incredible and hadn't seen mentioned anywhere in my research. So if you have suitcases forget the buses, you'll have to get a taxi or shuttle! If you have smaller carry on size or a smaller rucksack you'll probably get away with it but it's luck of the draw.
Mahalo Keiko, we wish you all the best.
