Great location, awesome apartment and terrific host! Will definitely stay again and highly recommend. 5 stars for this one. :)
The apartment is very spacious and homely. Tim and John are so kind to stock up the kitchen and fridge with drinks and snacks. Great location with lots of good eateries in the neighborhood.
I give Timothy my highest recommendation. We felt welcome like it was our home away from home the moment we arrived. Timothy was super gracious when traffic and rain caused us to be an hour late for our check-in time. He told us to be safe and not to rush. When we got there he helped us carry our bags up and showed us the parking spot. He made sure we knew how to use the keys and locks too. The apartment itself was gorgeous, wonderfully decorated and very safe. We appreciated the small touches like: emergency flashlights, a linen closet of fresh towels, shampoos and soaps in the shower, a basket of snacks and a fridge stocked with water, soda and beer. One of the best things was that he put together a menu binder of all the places nearby that he actually really likes. It helped my boyfriend and I tremendously when we were hungry and were overwhelmed by the hundreds of restaurants nearby. I always felt like we had our own space but could also text him if we needed ANYTHING. If I ever make it back to San Francisco I will definitely be contacting Timothy. I was skeptical of the whole Bed and Breakfast concept before, but vacationing at Timothy's place was one of the best experiences I have ever had when staying in a new city!
Great place. Perfect location indeed. Access to so much... so easy. Comfortable, clean, bigger and more open than expected. Very secure. Peaceful. From the plug in flashlight/night lights, snacks, drinks, beer and wine waiting for you, washer dryer, big open kitchen to the furnishings and book selections... and overall layout.... Fun to be had. And in an historic building restored/renovated to boot. Delores Park blissful. Walk to the top right corner late day sun time and view the city. Stroll west on 18th from apt and eat at Vietnamese eatery 'Zadin' on way to Castro Street only a few more blocks. Walk north on Church (which is corner of 18th and Delores Park).... Eat at 'Chow' or 'Chilango' (235 Church) right before Market ST... and catch the F downtown all the way to Fishermans Warf. Walk east on 18th from apt four or so blocks and stroll Valencia and dine at many many choices .... loved 'Bar Tartine' a few blocks north, east side at 561 Valencia ST. Great medium to high end classic clothing is a block away from apt heading west on 18th named Unionmade at 493 Sanchez St. Manager 'Aaron' became an added SF guide. Delightful person. Take the 33 Bus on 18th from apt heading west and end up in front of Golden Gate Park. Visit the de Young Museum, view great art and go up to the Observatory floor. Impressive. Last and very not least, Hosts treated us as I would treat others. Always accessible and greeted me out front upon arrival. :). P.S. If you need the garage... around the block, safe and easy access on side street. Enjoy SF fully from this Airbnb rental!
Tim is an excellent host, and the apartment was fantastic. It is in a great location, and actually looks even nicer than the photos suggest. The collection of food and drink options that greet you in the kitchen easily rivals most mini bars I've seen. I just wish I've had more time to spend in San Francisco.
Staying at Tim's 1-Bedroom apartment for a weekend was incredible to say the least. Our drive up encountered some unexpected traffic delays, forcing us to arrive in SF much later than we had hoped. Tim was gracious enough to make himself available for us in the wee hours and make sure we had everything we needed. As for the space, my friends and I are familiar with Bay Area real estate, and this space is really incredible--both the amentities provided therein and the surrounding neighborhood. And with a parking space, no less! (parking, unfortunately, is one of the more unpleasant aspects of staying within SF). If you plan on spending some time in SF, I highly recommend staying at one of Tim's units and taking advantage of his wonderful hospitality. Thank you, Tim!
This was a great space and I would certainly stay there again. Thanks!
First off, Tim's apartment was immaculate. It was clear he takes great care in providing his guests all the comforts of home; from fluffy bath towels and iphone docks, to a stocked fridge and a welcome basket of snacks. We were able to check in early and Tim showed us around, helped us bring in our bags, and came with us to park the car (parking is 1 block up, but super convenient and safe). We felt very comfortable in the neighborhood, which was a great home base for us. Tim checked in with us daily via text to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall it was a great experience, by far my best on AirBnB. I would definitely recommend staying at Tim's. You won't be disappointed!
Wow. This is a lavishly beautiful apartment in a great area - my only regret is that I was too happy being out in the neighborhood to spend much time taking advantage of the apartment. Tim and John are friendly, hospitable, and flexible. They made me feel welcome when I arrived (there were basic supplies including wine in the kitchen) and checked in with me after a couple of days. A great experience.
