Enjoy your stay in the best neighborhood in Mill Valley. Live one and a half blocks from the best hiking in Muir Woods and Tennessee Valley .This is a special custom made wood house on a quiet street in with a front yard and a private back patio with hot tub that gets full afternoon sun. The house is 4 years old; bright with high ceilings, skylights and a large kitchen and living room and bamboo floors. Close to public transit as well within a 1/4 mile.

INSIDE FEATURES High-end, new sensuous furnishings, and a gourmet kitchen with everything needed. Feel safe in a fenced, hypo-allergenic environment that includes bamboo floors. Soundproof walls create privacy. On-demand water heater yields endless hot water.

This property is very tranquil and quiet. The neighborhood is super safe--crime is almost non-existent. Mill Valley has two Whole Foods markets, a Friday Farmer's Market, and organic sections in the historical market and in Safeway. And the new lovely Good Earth is a 1/2 mile away.

CONVENIENT Off-street and some driveway PARKING in a safe neighborhood that's very quiet at night, with a 20 minute drive to San Francisco or 10 minutes to Muir Woods redwoods.

We are happy to do whatever we can to make your stay in Mill Valley unforgettable and relaxing. We have a patio and hot tub and occassionally offer sports massage

The neighborhood

most perfect spot to be. 1/2 mile to Tennessee Valley trails and beach, 1/2 mile to MUIR WOODS, 1 mile to Mill Valley restaurants, coffee, entertainment, 12 min to city. A late arrival is fine just tell me and turn the porch light off.

Kids-I am open we just need to communicate about it.

I may have other Airbnb guests here. Occassionally (1x per month) I go away on one friday or saturday to ride my bike in the mountains. House is clearly detailed and to enjoy without me and indulge in serenity.

It is Winter time. Wear extra sweaters. The house is heated to 60.

This place was less than expected. At first, Nancy seemed annoyed we arrived at 8:05 PM despite us telling her we would be there by 8 PM, give or take a few, given that we had a lengthy drive to get there. Nancy also said she didn't want us wearing shoes in the house because she had her floors redone. What she didn't mention is that the place to leave your shoes is outside, dirty, and our shoes got wet. Additionally, in spite of caring so much about her floors, her cat had thrown up on the floors and she failed to clean it up. That's just the start. She failed to shows us the room we'd be staying in online. She also failed to tell us that we would be sharing the bathroom, us with another couple (that she failed to mention was also staying there that weekend). There were no locks on any of the doors. The doors to the bedroom seemed very thin, like bamboo. I could hear her entire conversation, through the door, in which she proceeded to speak negatively about someone. To me it seemed like bullying. The bedroom was tiny and didn't have enough room for both of our suitcases, and it seemed like she was annoyed our luggage was large. Finally we felt uncomfortable there like, we couldn't freely move around the house or leave to get dinner and come back. We didn't like the shared bathroom, and would've stayed somewhere else if we knew it was shared. She also seemed a lot more welcoming to the other couple that was staying there, perhaps because they were older than us. We also didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the bed. The sheets seemed dirty.

Room was perfectly comfortable, but it would have been nice to know that the house was going to be shared between several guests before arriving. Made for a little noisy of a morning, but otherwise perfectly comfortable. The cat was amiable as well.

Where to start? Well, this wasn't our best airbnb stay that's for sure. Maybe we were spoiled at our airbnb the night before, but we were more than a little disappointed when we arrived at Nancy's place. The first thing that hit us was the strong odor of animals in the home. Nancy wasn't there when we arrived and we honestly thought about leaving and finding new accommodations, but we had dinner plans so we decided to just light a candle when we got back since we were only staying for one night. We returned late in the evening and although the bed was comfortable, the pillows were old, thin, and stained. We were awoken in the morning to Nancy pounding on the door to make sure we knew what time check out was and then she proceeded to carry on a very loud phone conversation just outside our door. Although we were very quiet and tidy, leaving both our room and the bathroom exactly as we found it, when we emerged to let Nancy know that we were leaving ( a good 30 mins before check out) she responded by saying "Ok, good, I just need my house back" Really?!?! Perhaps you shouldn't open your home to guests if it's such a burden to you. Her home may be adequate for some or for those who don't mind the strong odor of pets, but we had different expectations of hospitality that were sadly lacking in this stay. Based on our experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Response from Nancy:
All I can say is honestly Im blown away when people say unkind and untruthful things. It really makes me wonder. I put my heart into this. And never have I had one person in 5 years say my animals smell. You know. My pillows are new and last week I got a brand new comforter and sham. Its quite hurtful when people are not honest. Sure if an issue lets chat always and sure I needed the room back at 11am. The house cleaners do arrive at 11am. Intregrity, honesty, communication are appreciated. thank you kindly

Nancy's home is beautiful and in a beautiful location. Great value, clean room, and she was wonderful about giving local hiking and eating suggestions. Thanks, Nancy!

Nancy's home was beautiful and charming. Her pets are adorable and the house is well situated. Nancy is very eccentric and seems to have a lot on her place, but does try to be a pleasant host. Check is apparently more important than she let on. Checkin was apparently from 5-11 PM. We arrived at 10:30PM and got a reprimanding at 23 years of age. There was no explicit detail saying to be there at a specific time, but apparently arriving late was stressful for her. Would clear that with her before checking in FOR SURE. Overall the house suit our needs for this vacation.

Had a very nice 3 night stay. Location is awesome in terms of easy access to SF, Muir Woods or points north. Place was very nice and as described.

As a traveller myself, I have experienced much hospitality and am excited to be able to return the favor. My beautiful home in Mill Valley, is a great place where people can have the true local Marin experience. It is a unique spot in the most wonderful location, walk out the door and see the muir woods or the ocean! There is so much to enjoy here, and I will be happy to share my knowledge and do whatever I can for your best stay here. I like guests to feel comfortable at our home and have a great time. I love exploring California, I am a former professional athlete, and a bodyworker... love biking, surfing, hiking with the neighbors, hot tea, and locally grown food.
