This is a large double room in our lovely flat in Shoreditch, central London. It's on the border of zone 1 & 2. You won't at any point forget that you're in London - the view is a beautiful reminder all day and night. Our neighbourhood is packed with pubs, coffee-shops, galleries, markets and the like - it's a favourite area for many Londoners.
It is a big and light, airy room with windows and a comfortable double bed. The room has a door to it's own balcony. There's a chest of drawers and cupboards in the room for storage. You will also have a desk.
The flat is on two floors so feels very spacious and the lower floor also has a long balcony with amazing views of London landmarks.
The kitchen is cosy and medium sized with everything you need - hob, oven, fridge, freezer and a washing machine. Our large sitting room has two couches - plus a piano! (It was carried up eleven flight of stairs, ask for the story). Upstairs there is a bathroom with shower and bath and a separate toilet.
We will provide clean bedding and towels. You are welcome to help yourself to tea, coffee and cereal, and feel free to use our herbs and spices if you're cooking. There's wifi in the flat and you're welcome to use the printer if you need to print out tickets/maps etc.
This area is buzzing with cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and markets. There are always things to do in East London, and new things popping up and down. If it all gets too much - have a walk along the canal and you'll end in Victoria Park. That's if you manage to pass Broadway Market with all its foodie temptations and cosy hangouts.
Columbia Road flower market is just around the corner - if you wonder why everyone's carrying flowers on Saturdays and Sundays. If you're looking for a traditional English breakfast - 'The Premises' just up the road is a part recording-studio and part cafe and serves a mad fry-up. The place is one of our favorites, very unpretentious and the owner is mega nice.
There is a Tescos Supermarket just down the road, as well as a post office and ATM.
I've made a guide to the area, so hopefully you'll be able to make the most of it even if we're not around.
Many things are in walking distance - but if you want to venture further, night busses run 24/7 from the road just by our flat. There are also Rental bikes just down the road - a great way of getting to know London!
Hoxton Overground station is a mere 2 minute walk away. 15min walk to Old Street station and 20min to Liverpool Street. 10 minutes' walk from the cafe's and bars of Broadway market, 5 minutes' from Columbia Road flower market and 20 minutes' walk to Spitalfields market and Brick Lane. 5 minutes to Kingsland Road with bars and heaps of restaurants.
If possible, one of us will happily collect you from the station to show you the 2 minute walk from the station to our flat. Please don't hesitate and get in touch if you have any questions
Looking forward to meet you!

This flat was amazing! It really is a beautiful room in a spacious apartment in an amazing part of London. There is literally never a shortage of things to do in Shoreditch and this apartment is right in the middle of it!
Sarah, our host, was extremely friendly and accomidating.
I would definitely recommend staying in this flat to anyone!
Great weekend at Shoreditch, to me the best part of London!! Thanx to Karoline, unfortunately we didn't meet to much but she gave us great and helpful recommendations. The Flat is perfectly situated and we were lucky with weather so couldn't be better!
Karoline was very accommodating and made our stay in London relaxing and easy. The apartment is very close to bus stops that take you to all the sights. I definitely recommend staying here!
Lovely stay with nice hosts.
Great, convenient location with a great view of the city.
Karoline and Sarah were excellent hosts. The flat was beautifully located on the northern end of Shoreditch with easy public transport access to the rest of the city. It was the perfect place if you want to stay in trendy East London.
It was a lovely and uncomplicated stay at Karoline and Sarah’s. Everything was close by and it wasn’t too far to get to the inner city of London. Shoreditch is a very diverse district. The mattress might be a bit too used for people with back problems though. Nevertheless, we recommend the place very much, thank you for having us!
This place feels like home. If you like Shoreditch, you already know how lively is this area. The flat has a great location and activity round the corner, with the advantage of a great view of London City (London tower blocks are nice once you get inside). These girls are very active with work and studies, and Karoline is (email hidden) willing to help you enjoy this area of London.
Karoline and Sarah were perfect hosts! We had no trouble finding the flat thanks to Karoline's instructions. The room was big and the bed very comfortable with clean sheets on arrival. Both of them were incredibly busy and our schedules were completely different but we had a great time there! Thanks so much to both you.
I had a great time staying with Karoline in Shoreditch when I'd just moved to London. Living with her and her flatmate Sarah for a month, from my first day I was made feel very welcome. I settled in really quickly due to Karoline's extensive recommendations- there are so many great places nearby! The flat has spectacular views over the city and the location is handy for transport links or just exploring the area. I highly recommend Karoline to anyone thinking of staying with her in London. Thanks Karoline!
