Check In
  • Nicest thing about this place was the private outdoor garden. The apartment was small (email hidden) to stay for two people. Hallie was friendly and helpful. Lots of surfing action at the beach at the end of the street.

  • We had such a wonderful time staying here. Thank you Hallie and company, you could't have been nicer. Fantastic location 11/2 blocks from a spectacularly beautiful part of the California coast. Close to everything one could want, restaurants, shopping sights. Completely private space with a wonderful outside patio. I would recommend it to anyone.

  • Cute place, Hallie was very responsive and accomodating. Bike to the beach in just a few minutes, great views and you can hear the water as you fall asleep. Lovely!

  • Hallie's place was great for a weekend getaway only a couple blocks from the beach. She was (email hidden) by letting us borrow beach cruisers, an extra surfboard and check out an hour later so we could get some extra beach time in. She even came through for a last minute request for a blow dryer. It really helped make the weekend easy and relaxing. Would definitely recommend it.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Hallie in Pleasure Point! The cottage is beautiful, and set up wonderfully for guests as well as located in an amazing neighborhood. Incredibly easy to walk to the Opal Cliffs and an easy bike to Capitola village or twin lakes state park. We would highly recommend staying with Hallie at her pleasure point cottage.

  • Our family of four had an absolutely awesome time in Santa Cruz and were well served at Hallie's Pleasure Point Cottage. It was especially great that she let us use their beach cruisers, surfboards, and boogie boards! The cottage is located close to the beach -- 2 or 3 blocks to a viewpoint, and a bit further to accessible beaches. It's also within walking distance to 41st Ave (0.6 mi per (website hidden) maps), where there are stores, coffee shops, etc.

The cottage had almost everything that we needed, and on the 2 occasions that I contacted Hallie for additional items, she was very prompt in providing those supplies.

The hot water is super hot and there's lots of it, so it was easy for the four of us to take sequential showers even while washing dishes (note: that's by hand -- no dishwasher). When it wasn't warm enough to eat outside, we had to make do inside, as there's only indoor seating for two at the counter.

Hallie was friendly & responsive and we'd definitely recommend her place to friends. Ideal for two people, ok for four if you get along well. :o)

  • I was looking for a last-minute spring break getaway for me, my 12-year old son, and his friend. The cottage was a great spot for us to spend a couple days in Santa Cruz. After a long day at the beach it was wonderful to relax in the quiet retreat. Hallie and Brian were very welcoming and offered us the use of some bikes (which we ended up being too tired to use). I will definitely be back!

  • Our weekend getaway from the city was perfect at Hallie's private cottage. We felt like locals riding on beach cruisers and surfing on boards she kindly provided. My friends and I know where to definitely stay in SC when we return. Mahalo!

  • The place is really cozy, clean and well located close to the ocean. Hallie was nice in fixing a crib for our baby. We just missed human contact around this place, we are not used to it, in other trips interaction has improved us a lot, some people we still miss, here dont expect nothing more than good mornings. As the weather was also cold and rainy we were glad to have a good heater at the cottage.
Check in was made by knocking on neighbor door, as there was nobody around, no message by the door, bring a cell if you dont want to scary the fine lady next door.

    Response from Hallie:

Hi Fernando~I'm glad you had a nice stay. I'm not sure if you had realized that I had emailed you check-in instructions before your arrival, although my neighbors are friendly, I do usually try to be around for guests arrivals, but I never heard back so I didn't know when you were arriving:) As this is a separate cottage, I try not to enter into the guests private patio entrance too often, but I'm super friendly and welcome anyone stopping by the house anytime! Thanks for staying and I hope you enjoyed Santa Cruz despite the rain:)

I have lived in Pleasure Point for over twenty years and I love it!! I am very active, and love being a block from the ocean, as well as within biking distance to some epic trail rides in the Santa cruz mountains. I have travelled all over the world, and I always love coming home to my sweet little neighborhood by the beach:)
