Interaction with guests

We will be in town all week, feel free to call if you need anything. We would be glad to prepare your choice of a continental breakfast or an evening wine and cheese. We are very social and like to meet new people and hope to enjoy your company, too.

The neighborhood

Resting just beyond Benjamin Franklin Parkway, home to Philly’s truly world-class museums, Fairmount is synonymous with fine art — but it’s far from the only draw of Center City’s effusive northern neighbor.

Often referred to as the “Art Museum Area” due to its walking-distance access to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute, Rodin and Barnes Foundation, Fairmount possesses a distinct personality that thrives independent of those hallowed halls.

Getting around

Typically SEPTA’s Broad Street line will drop riders off directly on Fairmount’s eastern border, while a number of bus lines (the 48, 33, 32 and 7) shuttle to and from Center City. Girard Avenue’s 15 trolley can take you east to Northern Liberties and Fishtown. Biking is common, walking more so, especially along Fairmount Avenue. Heavily residential and graced with largescale attractions, this is one of Philly’s most difficult places to park, though there are off-street options, including a large short-term lot at 22nd and Fairmount. Some transit modifications have been made for the pope's visit. Please check (URL HIDDEN) for details. This location is walking distance from the parkway where pope events are held.

Other things to note

Our dog Roscoe is friendly, affectionate, and loves people. He can't wait to meet you!
