The location is right in the center of Rome in Monti area, which today is very popular and trendy for its numerous fancy boutiques, wine bars and restaurants. A well-known meeting point for locals and visitors.Colosseum and Fori Imperiali is only at 5min. walk and all other important historical sites of Rome can be visited on foot.
The flat is all private and the small terrace as well.
We provide the bed linen and towels.
Interaction with Guests
The check-ins and outs are coordinated well in advance before the guest's arrival with all the necessary info. A caretaker lives near by for any eventual emergencies and I can be contacted via phone or e-mail any time.
Monti is the trendiest area in Rome at the moment. The old artisan area has transformed itself to modern trend, but in the same time conserving the antique atmosphere. There's everything for everybody. Restaurants, wine bars, shops, fashion, design etc. The area has become very popular amongst both visitors and locals, but has not become too 'touristic'. Monti has still saved its original face.
If you arrive in Rome by train in Termini Station, take the exit to Via Cavour and walk down the street on your right hand side. Pass Basilica S.M. Maggiore on your left. Continue a few hundred meters and turn right to Via di S.M. Maggiore. A few more hundred meters and you will the find the building on your left right in the corner with Via Urbana. It takes just 10 min. to walk from the train station to the apartment.
Colosseum and Fori Imperiali are at 5 min. walk at the end of Via Cavour. Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Piazza di Spagna, Campo de' Fiori at 15-20 min. walk.
The metro station Cavour B line is at the end of Via Urbana, a few min. to walk.
Other Things to Note
There are plenty of restaurants and wine bars in Rome and in the Monti area. Its quite hard to indicate the best one. Its recommended to avoid restaurants and bars that have a touristic menu. Look for places, where you see locals dining. Its a good indication of quality.
We expect our guests to treat the apartment as if it was their own home. As we don't apply any security deposit nor fee for the final cleaning, we expect our guests to treat the apartment with respect. We have tried our best to give a feeling of a home far from home with all the comforts of a home.
Kati was a wonderful hostess - we stayed at her flat for our honeymoon in Rome and were surprised and thrilled to see she had left a plate of sweets and a bottle of wine for us. The flat itself is lovely and charming and, most importantly, in a FANTASTIC location. We enjoyed evenings on the terrace before heading out for a fun evening in Monti. I hope she will have us back on our return trip.
Such a nice experience, the apartment was very clean, everything you need is provided, comfortable bed, very spacious and in an amazing location! If you go to Rome this is the location you want to be in! So close to all the attractions but the area is true Rome with amazing bars, shops and restaurants within a meters of the apartment! I couldn't recommend this enough!

This is the second time Kati has hosted us in this cozy and modern type flat. It comfortably accommodates four. It is ideally located near transit stations, the coliseum, and short walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps. We had a great stay and would recommend this location for your stay in Rome.
Kati's apartment was fantastic! it was exactly as shown in the pictures and it had all the equipment necessary. We loved our stay in Kati's flat as it was very well located, just 5 minutes walk to Termini station and 10 minute walk to the coliseum. It also was right next to good restaurants, supermarkets and a corner shop. Even though it was located in a very central location, it was very quiet and we had no problems with the noise even though we spent the weekend there.
Kati kept us informed at all times and also left us some goodies for breakfast and snacks which we really appreciated. The flat was very clean and the beds were super comfortables! It also had all sort of things to make us feel like being at home, such as washing and coffee machine and WiFi.
Towels and bedding were provided and we were very impressed with the little terrace the apartment had, as we didn't know it had one but it was great to be able to have breakfast "al fresco"!
Although we did not meet Kati personally, the neighbours that welcomed us were very nice and helpful. They explained everything to us and gave us some tips.
if we go back to Rome, we would definitely stay at Kati's apartment again and we recommend it without a doubt..
Beautiful apartment in a great location. Very helpful and accommodating host! At arrival we felt as though we were being greeted into our own home. The apartment came fully equipped, above and beyond all expectations! Highly recommend!

The first time I arrived in Rome I felt at home. Now you may ask: How can a little girl from Finnish Lapland and nightless nights feel at home in Rome ?
That was my first Italian Moment along with many others to follow.
Destiny introduced me to real estate business and quality properties both in Rome and elsewhere in Italy together with a large community of foreigners finding themselves in or wanting to visit Italy for work, study, leisure or pleasure. All of us have had and will have our own Italian Moments. I'm helping people from all over the world find their special Italian Moment by finding them holiday accommodation and interesting and fun things to do: whether it is a holiday, a wedding, cultural or gastronomical tour or painting course or anything they might want to do during their stay in this beautiful country.
