Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • A very convenient location with great transport links. Our room was clean and spacious and the pancakes for breakfast are very tasty. The bed was the normal thai style hard bed and our room had reasonable light levels with big windows, although some rooms do not have windowsso you might need to request a specific room if, like me you would have an issue with this.

  • Let me begin by telling that Jesse managed to turn Room @ Bangkok into a very interesting and tastefully decorated boutique hotel: every room has a unique visual scheme (I spent a night the Marilyn Manson and Marimekko rooms) and most of the amenities you would expect to find in a hotel (wifi, mini-fridge, AC, bathroom with a set of personal toiletries). You also get a very basic breakfast for the price of your room, which is always nice.

The problem, however, is that staff downstairs speak no or very poor English, which makes it very difficult to communicate clearly or get whatever you need from them. You best option would be to communicate in advance with Jess or Pat to make sure they know what you need once you check in. The surrounding area can also get pretty noisy at night - I think there's some kind of round-the-clock workshop in the neighbourhood and its denizens like to crack loud jokes while drinking their sorrows away.

Location-wise Room@Bangkok is hard to beat, since it is 2 min walk to BTS Asok from where you can pretty much get anywhere you need. Plus, Terminal 21 - a modern shopping mall - 7-11 and numerous bars & eateries are just stone-throw away from here.

In short, good place for adventurous travellers who are not afraid of noise! Also, the rooms with windows are better than the ones without. At least for me.

  • Room@Bangkok is located in a very convenient area in Sukhumvit. It's very close to the BTS Asok station (not even 5 minutes walking), which allows you to go anywhere very quick. It'(email hidden) for someone who is looking for a comfortable, quiet, and clean place within a prime location for a very reasonable price. You get exactly what they advertise.

  • In two parts. Short - Awesome! Long - 1 minute walk from either Asok (BTS) or Sukhumvit (MTS) you could not get a better location from which to explore Bangkok. The rooms are well appointed and they are far enough back from the hustle and bustle that they are perfectly quiet at night. Within the area are a plethora of good restaurants, bars open all night and the best of Bangkok's tailors are minutes away. With helpful staff who are happy to give you advice this is a most definitely positive recommendation. 2 thumbs up! Suggestions for food - Arirang (Korean BBQ), Isao (good sushi) and Coffee Alley for free wifi and drinks. There is also a lady in the street outside the hotel is that sells delicious iced teas for 15 Baht! For the best Thai food in your life head to Or Tor Kor farmers cooperative (15 minutes on the MTS) where there is a daily hi-so market with the best fruit and vegetables Thailand has to offer. The main attraction being there is a HUGE food court at the back which is a must for any aspiring foodie.
