A spacious, light filled one bedroom apartment with a minimalist design. Located in the 'Paris' end of the CBD nestled on Lonsdale St backing on to China Town. Our rooftop pool is always heated and has gorgeous views across the city.
Gorgeous little apartment on Lonsdale Street, currently being renovated by myself and my boyfriend (who is an architect). We rent out to guests when we are travelling or working away. This apartment is our home - it is very convenient, with all the comforts that you need. It's 48 sqm, with a small balcony, and roof top pool (heated so you can even use it in winter!) and a master bedroom.
The location doesn't get better - with the city centre at your doorstep, including convenient trains, buses, trams, Chinatown and endless shopping. The Skybus from the airport will deliver you straight to the doorstep via it's free shuttle bus.
If you're in town as an explorer, you can walk to all the central hotspots from our place, including neighbouring areas such as super hip Fitzroy (Brunswick and Gertrude Streets), or Federation Square and Southbank on the Yarra River for a real 'tourist' experience. RMIT and Melbourne Universities are walking distance as well (or a tram if you're not into walking!).
There is a real queen size double bed, plus a sofa in the lounge room which is ok for sleeping if you are travelling with an extra person. Be aware there is only one bathroom to be shared which can only be accessed through the main bedroom.
Air Conditioning & Heating
Laundry (Washer $4 & Dryer $3) - Communal
Size: 48sqm (517sq. feet)
Please be aware that we are doing minor renovations at the moment. The apartment is still very comfortable & liveable, but it's not fully 'polished' yet and the oven isn't connected. The kitchen still has the basics (microwave, kettle, toaster, single gas hob, nespresso machine & fridge). So please send us any questions you have about it's current state. We also can't guarantee the level of festivity in the city. Being in the heart of the CBD you will hear some street noise and of course this is heightened on weekends and during the festive periods (the best time to be in the city!). It is not a problem for us, but we have had guests mention it before.
Let us know if there is something we can help with. We can help you with travel questions regarding Melbourne as we've lived here for 6 years and love it to bits. I can even give tips for Tasmania if you're heading down there during your travels as it's where I grew up.
Any questions? Please just message me :)
We hope you enjoy your stay!
Please respect our neighbours - no loud noise from 9pm preferrably, strictly no loud noise after 10pm. No smoking inside. No smokey cooking inside . There are sensitive smoke detectors in the hallway which attract a $3,000 from the Melbourne Fire Brigade as they are automatically alerted if the smoke alarms are set off (we have experienced this!). This is a pet friendly building, however there are restrictions, so please check with us if you wish to travel with any animals. Make sure you have a good time! :)
Thanks Miranda. Your appartment was the perfect location for our inner city Melbourne trip. The compact comforts provided made our stay enjoyable.
Miranda was an amazing host! Great communicator and always got back to me within a day! She made us feel very welcome in her beautiful apartment. Thank you for the helpful notes and necessities such as milk, muesli and chocolates :) the apartment is in the perfect location close to everything needed! I would reccomend this place to everyone and would love to stay here again! Best airbnb experience :) x
We stayed in Miranda's apartment for 2 nights and I wish we could've stayed longer. The space is small but really homely and full of interesting trinkets and lovely furniture.
There is a bit of noise drifting up from the city streets below but that's the trade-off of being in the centre of the city. The location couldn't have been better for us. Also, the apartment is really easy to get to from the airport with a free shuttle from the Sky Bus drop off point in the city.
We didn't get time to take a swim in the rooftop pool but we checked it out and it looked amazing! Overall, a really pleasant stay and we'd definitely come back.
It was pleasure staying at Miranda's place. It is a funky little apartment and had everything we needed. Miranda had left little notes explaining everything which was great. The location is fantastic.
Miranda met us at the door to give us the key and basic information. She left us myki cards (needed for local transportation) and a refrigerator stocked with water and breakfast necessities. She also set up an extra mattress for my daughter to use. I really appreciated the ability to do a load of laundry, as I had already been traveling for two weeks. The location of this apartment was perfect, located only two blocks from both the tram and the trains. However, be aware that it is also a noisy location, especially on the weekend. This might have been because we were there the week before Chinese New Year. There was also a Greek festival that weekend on the street.
Very sweet attention to the welcome with milk, juice, cereal and bread provided. Great location in Melbourne and general amenities are available, eg laundry. The sofa is actually quite comfortable to sleep on and this is coming from a guy with a bad back.
Miranda's cozy and funky apartment was great! Loved the rooftop pool and open layout. Location is right in the middle of the city, yet the unit is surprisingly quiet. Clean, convenient, and just what we needed.
Would highly recommend.

I am Miranda, and live with my partner Chris. We live in the heart of Melbourne City in our own apartment which we spend a lot of time renovating. We live with our gorgeous little puppy Charlie - she's a black 'Cavoodle'.
We love living in Melbourne, especially enjoying its great parks and cafes. Chris is an architect/designer and I am a model, as well as a student studying to be a primary school teacher.
We've been together 7 years, and in that time have travelled to a lot of places throughout Asia and Europe. When we travel it's always relaxed. We love discovering new things - not necessarily the typical tourist attractions. We look forward to exploring the Americas and more of Europe when life permits :)
We look forward to meeting you!
