A spacious one bedroom apartment with a minimalist design (refurbishment not quite complete!). Located in the heart of the CBD nestled in between Lonsdale St and China Town. Our rooftop pool is great in summer and has gorgeous views across the city.
Gorgeous little apartment on Lonsdale Street, currently being renovated by myself and my boyfriend (who is an architect). We rent out to guests when we are travelling or working away. This apartment is our home - it is very convenient, with all the comforts that you need. It's 48 sqm, with a small balcony, and roof top pool (heated so you can even use it in winter!) and a master bedroom.
The location doesn't get better - with the city centre at your doorstep, including convenient trains, buses, trams, Chinatown and endless shopping. The Skybus from the airport will deliver you straight to the doorstep via it's free shuttle bus.
If you're in town as an explorer, you can walk to all the central hotspots from our place, including neighbouring areas such as super hip Fitzroy (Brunswick and Gertrude Streets), or Federation Square and Southbank on the Yarra River for a real 'tourist' experience. RMIT and Melbourne Universities are walking distance as well (or a tram if you're not into walking!).
There is a real queen size double bed, plus a sofa in the lounge room which is ok for sleeping if you are travelling with an extra person. Be aware there is only one bathroom to be shared which can only be accessed through the main bedroom.
Air Conditioning & Heating
Laundry (Washer $4 & Dryer $3) - Communal
Size: 48sqm (517sq. feet)
Please be aware that we are doing minor renovations at the moment. The apartment is still very comfortable & liveable, but it's not fully 'polished' yet and the oven isn't connected. The kitchen still has the basics (microwave, kettle, toaster, single gas hob, nespresso machine & fridge). So please send us any questions you have about it's current state. We also can't guarantee the level of festivity in the city. Being in the heart of the CBD you will hear some street noise and of course this is heightened on weekends and during the festive periods (the best time to be in the city!). It is not a problem for us, but we have had guests mention it before.
Let us know if there is something we can help with. We can help you with travel questions regarding Melbourne as we've lived here for 6 years and love it to bits. I can even give tips for Tasmania if you're heading down there during your travels as it's where I grew up.
Any questions? Please just message me :)
We hope you enjoy your stay!

Couldn't have asked for more from this stay - beautiful apartment, everything (and more) just as promised, perfect location where everywhere and everything is easily accessible, and on top of all that a very lovely host. Thank you again Miranda for a killer trip
We had an excellent time at Mirandas place! She made it very comfortable and easy. Its in an amazing location, easy to get to all Melbournes hotspots on foot or by tram! The place itself is very beautiful and cosy. Thanks Miranda!
Everything about our trip to Miranda's beautiful apartment was perfect. Miranda was a great and helpful host - very friendly and welcoming when we met her, and also quick to answer our messages when we had questions. Her apartment was perfectly situated in the heart of the city, in walking distance to everything we wanted to see and many shops/restaurants/bars. The apartment itself is really lovely and modern, plus very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We would highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Melbourne!
The location of this place couldn't be better, Miranda was a pleasure to deal with (and very understanding about our late arrival time) and we really appreciated the small touches like the mykis and coffee. The bed was super comfy too!
Thanks for Miranda's apartment! It's a lovely place and the location couldn't be better! Miranda is so enthusiastic and helped us a lot, we really have a great stay!
We came for the first week of the Australian Open, with record-breaking heat- 4 days in a row over 41 degrees, and highs of 45. It was so wonderful to come back to the air-conditioned apartment and have a respite from the heat. It is a wonderful space, and the ongoing renovation was not a problem. The location is ideal, easy walking distance from many great restaurants and cafes, and we could also walk to Federation square to catch the free tram to the Australian Open. Miranda was very nice and helpful.
great hosts. always replied to my emails & queries. clean apartment; right in the CBD. highly recommended.
Great stay in Miranda's apartment - close to restaurants and great place to base yourself. Good communication with Mianda by email. My first time with Airbnb and very impressed.
I stayed at Miranda's apartment for 2 nights with my 2 German friends. The apartment is so conveniently located, right in the heart of the city by Chinatown. You can walk to most places from here.
The apartment is very modern and a bit retro, nice wooden floors and some cool furnishings. The German couple stayed in the bedroom and I was on a mattress in the living room - comfy and I slept well. There is a sliding door that gave me/them some privacy. Great pressure in the shower - always a good sign! Mirandas left brekkie foods as well as hot/cold drinks for us. Some really nice touches and she was very amiable and accommodating when we were liaising by email. The apartment is best for 2 people but 3 people is fine for a short stay. Didn't end up using roof top pool - ran out of time. Apartment was clean, tidy, secure and safe. Thanks Miranda!! Will be staying here again!
The host with the most. Miranda was awesome.
Really stoked with the apartment, was just what we needed for a short weekend away. Would definitely stay again.
