The Space

A stylish and quiet apartment in central Kreuzberg on the ground floor in a quiet courtyard. The bathroom has been beautifully renovated and the kitchen and sleeping / living area has everything that you need for a comfortable lifestyle with a modern renovation of the whole apartment having been carried out within the last 2 years. A flat screen television, washing machine, wet room shower and WiFi internet are some of the features of this apartment.

Connections to public transport are plentiful. Hermannplatz, Schönleinstrasse and Südstern U-Bahn Stations are all a 6 minute walk away as is the beautiful canal - a favourite location for eating, walking and relaxing. Around the corner from the apartment are several options for eating including a fine dining restaurant and turkish and italian café style establishments - all much loved by guests! A supermarket is also 3 minutes away - open from 7am - 8pm Mon - Sat.

The area where the apartment is situated - Kreuzberg - is one of the most exciting and popular areas in Berlin to spend time. Restaurants of the most diverse and the second hand stores and boutique clothing shops are loved by visitors and locals alike.

We hope you enjoy your stay here!

  • Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit bei Julia! Die Wohnung ist einfach ausgestattet, aber sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Absprache mit Julia war gut und die Schlüsselüber- und Rückgabe verlief auch super!

  • We spent 5 days at Julia' flat and everything was fine. The flat is just as You can see in the pictures, perfect for a couple, placed close the tube and in a nice neighborhood with everything You can need. The wi-fi signal It's not really strong, so You will need to get close the window or the outside corridor to use it. Julia was avalaible for us all the time and made things easy when our flight was delayed.

  • We had a lovely stay at Julia's flat. We were greeted by her cleaning lady, Ursula who, was lovely but spoke very limited english which made it difficult to ask some questions we had upon arriving in the apartment.

It is in a great location with a supermarket just next door, while the kitchen had very limited utensils and a very (very) tiny fridge, it was adequate for our 6 day stay. As previous guests have mentioned, we also did not have any working internet despite reassurance from the host that it was working, this resulted in extra costs incurred by using our mobile phone's internet.

    Everything was great though.

  • Studio located on the ground floor and on the backyard, quiet and clean for a solo or a couple, small kitchen with a small fridge and a pulsed heat owen, everything was fine except the web connection ( impossible ) the district of Urbanstrasse is in Kreuzberg a few minutes walk from the canal where you can find a lot of bar/restaurants and many different stores, a general store is close to the appartment just a few steps ahead where you can find everything you need to cook. Metro stations ( 2 ) 10 minutes walking distance and you can park your own bike on the backyard. BERLIN is a very fun city with a lot of attraction, Oranienstrasse is just at 20 minutes by walk, the district is secure and friendly.

  • We were met by Ursula, the house maid, just outside the flat. A very nice girl, telling us everything we needed to know while Julia was on a business trip. The flat looked OK at first but to our dissapointment we soon realized no one lives here on a daily basis. Rather cold, sparsely furnished and no personal stuff at all - and almost no kitchen utensils and a tiny fridge - made it clare to us that we weren't going to spend too much time indoors. The wifi didn't work and the shower drain was clogged.
The location, however is superb. Park Hasenheide (with animals) is very close and so is the pretty Maybachufer. We even stumbled upon a Flohmarkt. U-Bahn is only a short walk away and Therese are plenty of cafes and restaurants with the famous Berlin flare close by.
We wouldn't recommend this flat, but the area (neukölln/kreuzberg) is great. Go there!

We couldn't have internet during our stay.

  • Kreutzberg area is fine, close enough to get to centre with ease. Flat was perfect, will book it again in the future :) Cheers

  • Overall we had a nice stay here. The apartment was basic but clean and functional - I especially appreciated having a kettle! The bed wasn't too comfortable, but it was all right for 3 nights. We arrived quite late at night and were not met by Julia, but rather by an associate, who only spoke German, which made it difficult to communicate and somewhat confusing. However, we didn't have any problems during our stay. The location was great - very close to a supermarket and the U-bahn - and we really enjoyed walking around Kreuzberg - definitely a great neighborhood to stay in!

About
Hi there! I'm originally from the beautiful garden of England (to be precise, a county called Kent) but have long since wandered far and wide from the British nest after finishing my veterinary BVSc in 2007.... ....after living and working in Nice, Shanghai, Hawaii and other such fascinating destinations (working with start ups and blossoming companies), I stumbled accidentally across Germany's glorious capital city. I knew then that nowhere on earth could beat this city's electric vibe...and so here I have stayed! I am sure you will love Berlin and the district of Friedrichshain where my apartment is. Viel spaß!!!
