This house is in Glacier, Wa and is the last stop before heading up the road to Mt. Baker. You can hear the river out the window, walk through the woods and pick mushrooms and then go for a hike out your back door. Or, go ski the deepest snowpack in North America - it's up to you!
We have a great kitchen, record player with plenty of retro vinyl, a guitar and banjo. This place is quiet and suited for relaxing in one of the many recliners.
Chair9 is an easy walk for those looking for some live music and to meet new friends. You can also get internet here for those that need to check in with the real world.
In the summer, Church Mountain is in your backyard. The alpine meadow up there will make you feel as if you're in the middle of the swiss alps. It's one of my favorite hikes in the Pacific Northwest. You'll see more wildlife in 2 hours than you will elsewhere all summer.
What a great house to stay at for a weekend with friends. Easy to find with directions, enough space for our group of 7 + a dog, and close to Baker. Lack of cell service and internet (it's a Glacier, WA quirk) made for a great tech break. Record player was awesome, too! Thanks for letting us stay!
The cabin was so nice and clean when we arrived. We had everything we needed. We had such a great week we would go back again!
This cabin is cozy and fun. It is in a gated community and it steps away from some great adventures. It is surrounded by absolutely beautiful scenery. It's a bit darker inside than we were expecting even with the sky lights, but that doesn't matter when you're outside :-). It's the perfect place for lots of people. We really enjoyed our time there!
Great place to stay! Close to lots of beautiful hiking. There's a pool and tennis court (no hot tub). I highly recommend this place. Very inexpensive if you have 4 or more people.
Chris's cabin was fantastic - it was beautiful and very comfortable. In addition, the North Cascades area that it is in is incredible. There's none of the development that you see in Colorado - just beautiful scenery and great hiking. It is also just a short drive from the coast and great island scenery.
Chris himself could not have been nicer. He accommodated our last minute request to stay at his cabin, and checked in on us during the week to make sure that everything was going fine. He was a great host and we would really love to come back again.
This cabin is awesome. I stayed here last weekend in a group of 7 to celebrate my 30th birthday. The house had everything we needed, and more. More than enough firewood, beds, sheets, towels, kitchen supplies to make our entire weekend comfortable. We went boarding at Baker and it was an easy 20 minute drive from the cabin. They have a ton of games on hand, we passed the time at the cabin by playing alot of poker. Their sound system is great. The only bar in town is a short walk through the gated community. There is an incredible mountain river just down the road with walking trails all around it. All in all this is a perfect place to hang out with a small group for a weekend near mount baker.
Does "a perfect stay" say enough? We had a great time at the cabin and would absolutely stay again. Chris was straightforward and open on the phone and in emails, and the directions were perfect. Our group had a great time. We would definitely love the opportunity to stay again!
