Situated in large and peaceful gardens, near Auckland City, New Zealand, this retreat is the perfect place to base yourself at.
Accommodation is simple and comfortable. There is a double/twin room available with a shared bathroom, which all look onto the garden.
This listing is for my twin room which is NZ$55 per person per night and includes a delicious breakfast. We do not have television, but broadband, yoga classes and a relaxing music collection are available to guests.
If you are after a single, please see my other listing on Airbnb. It is just NZ$65 per night and also includes Breakfast.
We serve organic vegetarian food, and cater for special diets. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, home-made yoghurt, cereals, grainola or porridge, free range eggs, sourdough bread and home-made preserves. Delicious vegetarian lunches and dinners are available on request.
The Balanced Living Centre is located close to Titirangi Village, with its many cafes and restaurants, the Waitakere Ranges for bush walking and the dramatic West Coast beaches. It is 25 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes from Auckland city, close to excellent transport. We can pickup or drop of to the airport for $30 ( up to two people)
Surrounded by tall trees with abundant bird life, it is private and peaceful, yet within walking distance to shops, a train station, excellent restaurants, art galleries, cafes, beautiful bush walks and beaches.
Retreats are available which can include the use of the meditation room, natural spiritual healing ( great for rebalancing after a long flight), or progressive counselling/coaching, respect for silence, use of the library or a long soak in the bath.
Interaction with Guests
I am on the premises and can interact as much as guests prefer. Happy to help with car hire, maps and transport, suggestions for nice places to visit and eat.
There is a train station and buses nearby. Parking is included with the room and it is very easy to get here from the airport, taking only 22 minutes on a direct route.
Deposit required on booking and payment in advance on arrival.
We prefer to have minimal alcohol in the house.
Smoking is only allowed outside.
We don't wear shoes inside but we can supply slippers!
We aim to keep a peaceful and restful atmosphere here as people often come on retreat, so its definitely not a party place.
There is parking available by the house but please let us know if you have a car in advance.

The Garden Retreat is also called the Balanced Living Centre and now having retrained at the Self Raelization Meditation Healing Centre, I am teaching yoga and meditation and giving healing treatments to people and animals. I teach animal healing courses and Life Balance Courses, along with Progressive Counselling/Coaching.
