Matthew's place is at the epicenter of WeHo bars and both Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. are in walking distance.
The place was clean, well-decorated and creatively used the space (which is located in a quintessential neighborhood).
Check-in was fast & easy, and Matthew was readily available for questions & concerns.
Overall, I will be staying in a StayInLA residence next time I am in Los Angeles.
The apartment was exactly as pictured and very clean! Perfectly located for traveling around the area - we found walking quite nice but public transport is just as easy to access. We easily found a park on the street outside of the apartment when we first arrived, just look out for the street cleaning signs! Would definitely recommend this apartment .
The place was as pictured-- a small (but not cramped), nicely furnished, quiet studio apartment in a cute 1920's courtyard complex on a pretty street in West Hollywood, close to restaurants, bars, and groceries. The bathroom was simple but clean and the shower was plenty hot. There's a dressing area with built-in storage and ample room to hang clothes and stow your suitcase. I didn't meet Matthew, but he was quick to respond to texts and emails. Checking in and out is very easy, via a convenient lockbox. You might have to spend a few minutes looking for an on-street parking space, but I was always able to find something within a couple of hundred feet for the four weeknights of my stay.
Place was exactly as described. It was clean, quaint, in a great location and perfect for a couple of nights. Seemed that Matthew was really busy, but he was kind enough to call and email me to check in. I did find the $99 cleaning fee high for such a short stay (2 nights), especially considering that doing one's dishes (coffee pot and a cup for me) is one of the rules of the house. But, the dishes were done and overall I enjoyed the place and my stay very much.
We were a little bit concern with the parking space, but just ome day we had to park on a parallel street, so it was a problem at all. The place is really clean and really well kept, in a pretty good location. The neighborhood looks pretty safe. The heater seems to be the original from the house, so it wasn't that hot, but with the extra portable heater, we were able to sleep comfortably. Overall I would give it 5 starts.
My friend and I stayed in Matthews apartment for 2 days. The apartment was as pictured, nice, clean and cozy. Perfect location. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The area is really nice and the appt was good for two nights. But there is some mildew in the shower and that might cause a little smell when you enter the door. So a little renovation would do it good. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

I have lived in Los Angeles since 2000 and have moved 9 times, living all over the city and in all types of rentals, both furnished and unfurnished. My business is real estate while my creative endeavors involve photography and interior design. My goal is to create environments that make guests truly feel like they have a second home away from home while they are in town.
