East End Home - Near Frick Park!

House - Entire home/apt · S Braddock Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221, United States
Cortney And Jake

This four bedroom house is conveniently located in the Regent Square neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The craftsman-style house was built in the 1920s and still has the original wood floors and built in bookcases. We are particularly partial to the deck, grill and terraced vegetable and perennial gardens. The house is set up with three bedrooms on the 2nd floor and one more private bedroom on the third floor. Its one block from 561-acre Frick Park, walking distance from the East End Food Coop and the Regent Square business district. Children are welcome and baby gates/cribs are available upon request. Buses to the Universities in Oakland (15min) and Downtown (25min) are just one block away. You are also welcome to use our bicycles while you are here. There is easy and free on-street parking. We hope that you can come enjoy this space that offers plenty of room indoors with easy accessibility to the universities, parks and other attractions of the city.

p.s. We have moved a bit of furniture since the pictures were taken. We now have a king size bed in the master bedroom so the queen size bed is now on the third floor. We think its an improvement!

  • Had a great mid-week stay at this lovely home! We were traveling with our three young kids (3.5, 2.5 and 8 months), and appreciated having a space that was fully kid-friendly (toys, baby gate, crib, highchair, etc). Jake and Cortney responded very quickly to our questions about the neighbourhood and offered great suggestions on things to do while we were in town. We would absolutely stay again if we return to Pittsburgh!

  • This is a beautiful old house, lovingly restored, with many modern conveniences, spotlessly clean, and lots of character. It is convenient to a several different neighborhoods and surrounded by greenery. We never met Jake or Courtney, but we found them easy to work with by phone and email. We highly recommend their home.

  • Great value for the money. Very convenient location to access vibrant parts of the city. Our family lived in Pittsburgh for 30 years - in three nearby locations in the East End - and this spot is ideally located. Parking was great - usually able to park at curb directly in front of house.
Information and photos very reliable. Be aware that there is no TV in the house - this was a small adjustment for our twenty-something sons to get used to.
The house was very comfortable. Hot water heating was warm and adjustable.
As photos illustrate - this is not a Hilton - not all beds are on traditional framing for example - but good and solid. All 5 family members slept very well here.
Opportunity to wash and dry laundry was great. Nice front loading machine with various washing options. As well - in basement was a typical pittsburgh treasure - often referred to as a pittsburgh toilet. A stand-alone toilet in a corner of the basement with a plywood surround.
In conclusion - house is a bit spartan - but solidly functional. Fantastic value for money. Great hosts. Great spot.

  • Cortney and Jake were terrific hosts - across the board. We stayed at the house during the Thanksgiving holiday week. The house is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. Specifically, Jake and Cortney are so thoughtful as hosts - leaving no detail to chance.

Our entire family loved the visit to Pittsburgh. It felt like we were invited guests of Cortney & Jake. They went out of their way to make everything work out easily for us.

The home is exactly as photographed and described.

I highly recommend staying here for any other AirBnB'ers. Terrific hosts and a great home.

    Thank you Cortney & Jake.

  • Couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the location to a local park and restaurants to the fantastically maintained interior that is comfortable for adults and children alike. This house instantly became "home" while we were in Pittsburgh. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

The hosts were not only courteous, but quick to communicate, offer suggestions, and make sure we were enjoying our time there. The house is packed with amenities. So you don't just feel like you are crashing somewhere, but truly enjoying a hotel level experience with far more personality and charm.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in town. And after experiencing what Pittsburgh has to offer in the way of beauty and culture, we are sure to make this a return destination. Worth the 4 hours of travel for the Children's Museum and Science Center alone!!

  • We had such a wonderful time at Cortney and Jake's house. The information they provide pre-arrival is super thorough, the location was fantastic and the house was perfect! I loved the charming, eclectic decor, and the house had everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed not having a TV in the space and made good use of the record player. And it was certainly a treat to have Frick Park so close. I would definitely recommend Cortney and Jake if anyone is looking for a unique place to stay in Pittsburgh!
