The Space

Visit our new 3 bedroom 1 & 1/2 bath classic Mt Airy home with a recently renovated kitchen. The space is clean, childproofed and ready to host at least 4 adults and a child or two. Our block is friendly, quiet and conveniently located.

Enjoy our new digital projector and pull down screen for a movie, or saddle up to our wood burning insert for a cozy fire.

We live 2 blocks from the train station (and one block from several bus lines), 2 blocks from the cute strip of restaurants, shops and bars, and walking distance to the Wissahickon park (perfect for running, biking, fishing). We have both a front porch, complete with swing, and a back deck overlooking many yards and gardens.

Got kids? Or friends and family visiting with you who have kids? You're in luck! We just got a child sized trampoline for the playroom, which is filled with toys and children's books.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at David's home, and couldn't recommend it more highly. It's clean, comfortable, spacious, and cozy, and we (a group of four adults and a 2-year-old) were all very happy there for the two nights we stayed--and could easily have stayed longer.

An added plus is that the kitchen is extremely well-appointed (and a huge grocery store is very close by), so cooking your own meals is a snap. And if that weren't enough, the house is a stone's throw away from a train line that takes you into Center City in under 20 minutes, so it's convenient even without a car. Plus, David was both friendly and extremely easy to organize logistics with.

All in all, a fantastic place to stay.

  • This was my first time using Airbnb to stay in another person's house. I have to say it was a great and unique experience. David was very accommodating and very helpful. In addition, everything was self explanatory and easy to use. Great house, great location.

  • David's house in Mt. Airy is lovely! The spot was perfect for my out-of-town family to come and visit. The open floor plan made spending time together so easy. While this house in Mt. Airy might not be a destination all in itself, it is certainly a great choice if you are visiting the area to see family or looking to explore the city. The house is a very short walk to the train station which dumps you right into City Center Philadelphia. You might also want to know that the house definitely feels lived in. While it's very clean, it does not have the anonymity of a vacation home. That doesn't bother me one bit, but other travelers might want to know. On the flip-side, toys galore if you are traveling with kids! My 5-year-old nephew had more fun than anyone :)

  • We stayed only night at David's place, but we really enjoyed it. The house is pretty big, with three bedrooms, two living rooms, a large kitchen, a porch, a garden and a deck. The house was neat and clean when we arrived. The whole house is childproof, which was very convenient as we were travelling wi our 8-month son and a couple of friends with their baby. The kids loved the many toys and games. The overall experience was really nice. David quickly responded to any of our questions and issues. Everything went on smoothly. Will definitely come back!

  • Staying at this roomy, clean, well appointed home in Mt. Airy is what AirBnB is all about. We felt like we were in our ideal home away from home and at a very reasonable price. Our host, David, was super friendly and helpful. Our 2 year old was in heaven with all the toys in the house, her own room, a backyard and porch swing. The location was perfect for us, too. Situated on a nice quiet street within 2 blocks of restaurants, cafes, bars, a train station and playground. Within 5 min. car ride to Chestnut Hill for more restaurants and shops, as well as hiking trails in Fairmount Park. You can be in Center City in 30 minutes on the train. What more can I say? We loved it!

  • David's lovey house is in a great neighborhood with easy access to city center via the train. We appreciated the opportunity to rent the house for 17 days. As expected with a 'long-term' stay, there were bound to a be few minor issues, but David was very accommodating and attentive both before and during our stay. He even installed a/c window units to make our visit comfortable.

  • We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home. It was a great location and perfect for our two-family vacation. The home is warm, inviting and clean while also being super child-friendly. We hope to stay here again when next in the Philly area.
