The Space

One bedroom apartment on the top floor of a fine Victorian building in the heart of Soho.

The apartment is in Broadwick Street, five minutes walk from both Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus underground stations and connects Carnaby Street (famous for fashion since the 1960's) and Berwick Street (known for its open air food market). As well as fashion boutiques this part of Soho is now known for a number of small high quality restaurants with a Michelin starred restaurant only a few doors away on Broadwick Street.

The apartment is modern, spacious, very bright and has excellent views. There is sole access to a huge roof terrace. Despite being centrally located the apartment is very quiet at night.

Facilities include air conditioning, jacuzzi, wireless broadband Internet, wide-screen LCD TV with terrestrial and Freeview channels, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, expresso/cappuchino machine, fridge etc.

With a double bed in the bedroom and a comfortable sofa-bed in the sitting room the apartment can sleep up to four people. The sofa-bed can also be separated into two single beds.

The area of the apartment is 42.7 square metres (460 square feet) and it is situated on the third floor (which is the top floor) without a lift. The agent will help you with your luggage when you arrive.

Oxford Circus is 15 minutes on the Central line from Liverpool Street main line station (for Stanstead Airport or South End Airport). Oxford Circus is also 10 minutes on the Bakerloo Line from Paddington (for the Heathrow Express). Oxford Circus is also 10 minues on the Victoria line from Victoria Main Line station (for the Gatwick Express). Piccadilly Circus is ideal for the Piccadilly line direct to Heathrow.

Please note that for guests arriving after 10pm and there is a £20 surcharge payable directly in cash to the agent who meets you at the apartment. After midnight the surcharge is £25.

  • Ian was very prompt and cordial with his responses to our inquiries before the arrival. Coordination went very smoothly. The location was perfect! Close to restaurants, groceries, shopping, the underground, etc. The beds were comfortable, the internet connection was excellent, and the water pressure was great in the shower. Having a bathtub and unlimited hot water was also a plus - was very nice to soak in the tub after a ful day of walking and touring! Having a washer was a plus. The only area of improvement, if any, would be in the cleaning department. I'm sure Ian hires a cleaning service and may not be able to check up on the flat inbetween guest stays. More attention to vacuuming, mopping, and wiping the kitchen counters down will make the place even better :-)

  • The location of the appartement was perfect. Everything was nice and clean. We were 3 friends travelling to London. The only thing we would note, is the double duvets. We would have preferred single duvets. Fortunately, the weather was so hot that it was enough with a duvet cover, so we managed. The ladder to the roof garden was too scary, so we didn`t check that out.
    Tanks for a great stay. We will be happy to rent the appartement again.

  • The host Ian Potter has been most attentive from the start, prompt to answer my queries and helpful in meeting them. The flat is in the heart of Soho but located on the third and top floor which means that we were not inconvenienced by the lively street ambience. The flat is charming, bright and full of character, It is well provided, warm and comfortable.

  • Appartement très bien situé et bien équipé, parfait pour un couple. Car pour dormir dans le séjour il ne faut pas être sensible aux bruits de la rue et à la lumière du jour

  • Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans le Stylish soho apartment et nous avons particulièrement apprécié la luminosité et l'excellent emplacement : à deux pas du quartier chinois, d'Oxford circus et de Picadilly circus ainsi que de Carnaby. Une supérette dans la rue perpendiculaire à 100 m (en sortant, tournez à droite, puis encore à droite), plein de restos sympas et de choses à voir dans les environs.
    Nick, qui nous a accueillis, est très sympa et nous a bien dépannés en acceptant que nous laissions nos bagages plus longtemps après le check-out.
    Très réactif aussi dans ses réponses aux mails.

    Le troisième étage n'était pas vraiment méchant malgré ses 51 marches. La chambre est au calme et donne sur les toits.
    Côté salon, la vue sur un immeuble so british et très joli n'est pas mentionnée dans l'annonce mais elle est pourtant très agréable.

    Les bémols :
    la salle de bains et la cuisine très sommaires, les serviettes de toilettes toutes petites,
    le lit qui grince dés qu'on bouge et qui n'est pas très confortable
    l'absence de petites choses pourtant ultra pratiques qu'on trouve d'habitude dans les appartements de location (essuie-tout, gant pour le four, cuiller en bois, cafetière filtre...)

    Néanmoins, et même si les photos sont très avantageuses, nous y reviendrions avec plaisir. (plutôt à 2 qu'à 3 car la surface est idéale pour un couple, un peu à l'étroit pour 3).

  • The apartment in Soho added a huge amount to the enjoymnet of our holiday in London. The apartment is small but very comfortable, it's location is outstanding. Practically a 5 min walk from anywhere in the west end.
    You are spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink on your doorstep
    Nick met us at the apartment when we arrived and was very friendly and informative and Ian was very responsive to emails prior to our arrival.
    All in all a great experience and one we would hope to repeat on our next visit!

  • The apartment is great, fantastic location and just as described. It's close to both Piccadilly and Oxford stations, in a very hip and safe area, with bars and restaurants and a couple of supermarkets nearby. We had a small issue on arrival with the water but Nick was super helpful and solved it right away. The only thing to mind is that the living room is very bright (such a plus during the day!) so if someone is sleeping there they will need eyemasks .Would definitely recommend staying at Ian's apt and will try to do so on my next trip to London!

  • This was a great stay. Owner's agent was very responsive with on-the-ground problem solving. Apartment comfortable and well-located in hopping part of town. Tons of good, small restaurants nearby.
