About this listing
A place in the heart of Moscow, next to all the main sights and fancy areas. Lots of restaurants nearby. All reachable by foot.
A fully functioning kitchen. A bathtub and a shower. No TV as I don't watch it :)
The 3,5 meter height to the ceiling will give you a great feeling. A window in the bathroom is something I always wanted.
There's a museum dedicated to the building next door. It was completed in 1931 as the Government Building, a residence for the Soviet elite.
The access to the apartment is as easy as can be any time as the doorman is there 24/7 and he has the keys.
Interaction with Guests
I always try to be there in person to meet you upon arrival, but sometimes I'm busy and the doorman will hand you the keys. But I'm always reachable by phone, e-mail or airbnb to assist you in anything. Just ask :)
You literally see Kremlin when you come out of the main door. 10 minutes to the walls of Kremlin through the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge and a little longer to Red Square through the picturesque Alexander Garden!

A 24/7 supermarket 10 meters away!
Lots of restaurants around (see guidebook!)
You are in the heart of Moscow, so everything is reachable by foot.

An automated velobike rental station next to the building.
One of my 3 skateboards/longboards
Ferry station next to the building, to take you on a river trip with great old town scenery.
Other Things to Note
I'm always there if you need any assistance.
NO smoking, but you're welcome to use incense sticks.
Please keep the noise down 11pm - 8am. This is restricted by law in Russia and if the neighbours break the rule, the police is there to help you!
I'm always there if you need any assistance.
The apartment is nice, in the very city center, just across the Kremlin and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, between two wonderful and panoramic bridges.
The concierge is there 24 hours a day, so the supermarket at just 100 meters from the apt.
Alex' flat is perfectly located to explore the most relevant sights of Moscow - all by foot. Nice restaurants and bars nearby. The flat is cosy, very tidy and we felt most safe and welcome. Alex was extremely helpful both in advance and during our stay. Perfect host, great apartment and location. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed my 6 night stay in Alex's apartment. It was clean and tidy and matched perfectly with the photos here on Air BnB.
The kitchen has everything you need to cooking, indeed I made breakfast and dinner every day. There's a supermarket very close by which is extremely handy!
The location is good, its roughly a 20 minutes walk to Red Square.
The bed interestingly looks like it could be a little uncomfortable as the mattress is quite thin, but in actual fact it was fine and I had 6 very good nights sleep.
Finally Alex was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had.
The location of this apartment is absolutely superb - the best located Air BnB place I have ever stayed in - especially for a city of Moscow's size.
New Red October development is five mins walk away and has some of the best restaurants, galleries and clubs in the city - perfect - while in the other direction you're 15 mins from Kremlin, Red Square etc; or Gorky Park over the other bridge.
Concierge service in building makes checking in very easy (we never actually met Alex) and we could leave our bags with him on our check-out day until our train later that night - very helpful.
Apartment itself: all as advertised, the bathroom especially is very nice. Enough cooking equipment for basic meals. Can be a little stuffy but air-con and ceiling fan sort that out quickly. Only criticism would be the mattress on the (very fun) cabin bed: very thin. I like hard beds so was ok with it but my girlfriend struggled.
That said, would strongly recommend the place for anyone new to Moscow -- we have no regrets at all. Thank you Alex.
We lived in Alex's appartement for 3 days and it was perfect! The appartement is very clean and we immediately felt comfortable. Thanks to Alex's detailed description, it was easy to find. The location is perfect. You can see the Kremlin walls when you're outside the building. The Red Square is just a ten minute walk away. We didn't need much public transport, as everything important could be reached by foot. I would highly recommend this place for your stay in Moscow!
Where to even begin! This place was the perfect spot for our Moscow adventure. Alex was absolutely incredible about being helpful and available to us. We were pretty needy as we don't speak any Russian and he answered every question within minutes.
The location is unreal. As soon as you step out the front door you are greeted by an amazing view of the Kremlin and riverfront. I don't think you could get any closer. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the ticket office and the red square.
The house is clean and very tasteful decorated. The check in process was convenient and easy. The house is on the ground floor so you don't have to climb flights of stairs. There is a grocery store about 20 steps from the entrance which was INCREDIBLY convenient. Food in Moscow can be expensive and we were traveling on a shoe string budget so we took full advantage of the store.
We took Alex's advice and rented some velobikes (theres a station right next to the apartment) that we used to cruise around the city day and night. We loved them! It's slightly hard to get signed up, I would recommend doing it online before you go to the station(NO ENGLISH).
ALSO! We found the mecca of good and inexpensive tourist shopping. There was everything from souvenirs to incredible vintage items. It was everything I had dreamed of. You can barter for a fair price. It's called Izmailovsky Market. Just jump on the metro (which is beautiful!) and get on the Blue line to partizanskaya stop. I died and went to heaven!
Thanks for an amazing place to stay Alex!
Nice, cosy and clean appartement! Walking distance of the red square. Also the list with tips of Alex was very nice! We loved bar Strelka both the roofteracce as the inside. Alex was very helpful and always quick with responding. If you come to Moscow do visit the Armoury in the Kremlin.
About the Host, Alex
A few words about myself.
Originally from Moscow. A typical guy from this area :)
I love all the extreme sports. Fast cars, motorcycles, parachuting, skateboarding and much much more. I like to stay fit and eat healthy food.
I'm traveling a lot and leave my beloved apartment all alone.
So I decided it needs company sometimes :)
I enjoy meeting new people and will be there if I can to meet you on arrival and available to answer any questions you may have about the apartment and Moscow in general.
Waiting for you soon!
