Share my big studio in downtown SF

Apartment - Shared room · Hyde St, San Francisco, CA 94109, United States

The Space

This apartment is a fairly enormous studio, complete with a dining room and a library/entryway. It is a share, so during your stay you would have the bed and I would take the sofa and because it's a open-style studio, they are at opposite ends of the same room. There is only one bathroom in the apartment, so that is also shared. Please keep in mind that because of the proximity to downtown, the neighborhood can be a bit loud at night.

I have a few local travel and hiking guides that are yours to use during your stay. You are welcome to use the kitchen and wifi as much or as little as you like.

The apartment is a short walk and even shorter bus ride to Union Square and all of the downtown shopping. It’s close (a few blocks walk) to Bart. It’s also on adjacent to bus lines that take you directly to the Mission, The Fillmore (and all the shopping on Fillmore St.), Fisherman’s Warf and Ferry Plaza. It's only 2 blocks to Polk Street, where there are also plenty of boutiques and locally owned shops. There is also a fantastic café across the street with delicious coffee, biscuits, bread pudding and salted caramels.

I do have 2 cats, Augustus & Octavia, who are very friendly and mostly entertain each other. While they likely won't bother you much, they do still live here so this would be less than ideal for someone with a cat allergy.

  • My stay with Gina was comfortable as she was accommodating and generous in every way, from dropping me off at the airport to offering me tea. I was delighted by her two adorable cats, and the architecture of her apartment building. I would stay with her again should I ever find myself in the city.

  • I had a great stay at Gina's. She provided me with everything I needed, gave up her bed for me and even though she was very lovely and accommodating, she also respected my privacy and I can only hope I was as good a guest as she was host.
    Thanks!

  • Gina was a nice host and she provided me with a lot of maps of San Francisco.
Her apartment was very clean and her bed is really comfortable! Her two cats are also good hosts!
Her apartment is located in the centre of San Francisco, so you can walk to almost any district/ neighborhood of the city!
Gina made it easy for me to check in and out! She answered to all my emails within a short time!

  • I enjoyed staying with Gina very much!
Her apartment is a neat place right in the heart of the city. Gina's bed is large, warm, and extremely comfortable, only excelled by Gina herself who is a perfect and kind host. I look forward staying with her in case I am travelling to San Franciso again!

  • Gina's apt. is very well located in downtown San Francisco, near Union Square and the cable cars stops in Powell St. Very spacious place and very nice host, sharing the same bedroom wasn't trouble at all, Gina is very respectful and kind, she gives you little booklets and maps and guides for tourists, nice and clean towels and bed sheets.

The arrival was awesome, she is super fast in answering text messages and she was available for a flexible arrival time. All the freedom you can get, by having easy-to-use set of keys at any time of the day.

The two beautiful cats with whom you'll share the apt are really friendly and respectful, they didn't bother me at all during the night and weren't playful with my belongings, they come close only if you pet them.

The only thing I wasn't fond of was the amount of suspicious people wandering about in the Tenderloin at night, smoking weed and talking to themselves in every corner, but hey, it's like in every big city, just be careful when you return at night and you'll be okay.

Awesome experience with Airbnb and Gina, I would definetly and happily return to this apt!!

  • Good place to travel around SF.
Kind host and lovely cats are in a beatuful house.
    I enjoyed staying Gina's house.

  • Very nice place. Good interior design of the place.
Downside: neighborhood- safe enough to walk during the day but a little bit scary to walk alone at night and since the apartments is facing the road- there's lots of noise.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this place and if I go back to San Francisco, I would stay here again!

  • My hubby and I loved San Francisco and didn't want to leave! Gina's apartment and fun cats were perfect. The advice she gave us also ensured we got to see SF from a local standpoint as well as a tourist standpoint! We got the studio to ourselves but I'm sure sharing with her would've been just as awesome! And the location is perfectly fine... She's in the city... You have to appreciate the personality of the city!
