This apartment is a fairly enormous studio, complete with a dining room and a library/entryway. It is a share, so during your stay you would have the bed and I would take the sofa and because it's a open-style studio, they are at opposite ends of the same room. There is only one bathroom in the apartment, so that is also shared. Please keep in mind that because of the proximity to downtown, the neighborhood can be a bit loud at night.
I have a few local travel and hiking guides that are yours to use during your stay. You are welcome to use the kitchen and wifi as much or as little as you like.
The apartment is a short walk and even shorter bus ride to Union Square and all of the downtown shopping. It’s close (a few blocks walk) to Bart. It’s also on adjacent to bus lines that take you directly to the Mission, The Fillmore (and all the shopping on Fillmore St.), Fisherman’s Warf and Ferry Plaza. It's only 2 blocks to Polk Street, where there are also plenty of boutiques and locally owned shops. There is also a fantastic café across the street with delicious coffee, biscuits, bread pudding and salted caramels.
I do have 2 cats, Augustus & Octavia, who are very friendly and mostly entertain each other. While they likely won't bother you much, they do still live here so this would be less than ideal for someone with a cat allergy.

It is a nice place in Tenderloin. Gina is very helpfull (explanations about public transport...) and gave me a warm welcome :)
Un chouette appart à Tenderloin. Gina est très accueillante et m'a donné quelques coup de main avec les transports en commun.
Gina was very nice and accommodating. GHA apartment is within walking distance of everything!
Gina was an excellent host! She was extremely gracious and understanding. Her apartment was immaculate, but still very home-y. I had to leave early unexpectedly, and Gina was very accommodating. Just note, the neighborhood can be very noisy at night (lots of yelling, fire trucks, etc.), but it's not anything I'm not used to, being from a large city myself.
Gina is a wonderful host. I needed some flexibility with dates and she was totally cool with it. She made everything very easy. She was very responsive before and during my stay. She is very kind and nice to stay with. The location is great, close to all popular spots of San Fran. I highly recommend her place and Gina as a host.
Gina has a nice and cozy place where you can relax and feel at home after a long day in the city. She is a kind and helpful person that makes you feel welcome; even if you stay for a whole week like me :D Both cats are adorable.
The neighborhood is good and it is really close to everything. There are some shops in walking distance if you want to buy food for breakfast or cook. And of course there are a lot of restaurants and so on.
If I would return to SF in the future, I would definitely check first whether Gina is still living her and offers to share her place.
Thank you again for everything!
Strategic location, comfortable place and friendly host are the ingredients for a great accommodation and this place certainly has them. Gina and her cats are very laid back and give you freedom as much as you want, and also give you help when you need it.
