Great place to stay in Kiev. Short walk to many attractions. The apartment is very spacious and clean.
Kateryna's apartment is absolutely superb - it is spacious, modern, has everything that you could possibly need and the location is perfect. The description accurately represented the accommodation and it was clean and in great condition. Our host kept in touch throughout my stay and was very easy to get a hold of. I give my full recommendation of this flat and would definitely stay here again.
Kateryna was great. Place was lovely, well-kept and in a good location. Highly recommend--if you don't mind the 5th floor with no lift. Still it's well worth it.
Katerina & her lovely princess Mia , welcomed us , handed the key after showing & explaining the flat. It has spacious living room , 5 min walk to independence square,& Buddha Bar. Flat was clean wi-fi ,TV , air conditioners are working very well. We had a good time . I would recommend everyone !
I travel around the world and this wonderful and romantic apartment is one of my favorites. It's beautiful and comfy! Couldn't be better located! It's surrounded by parks and touristic attractions but at the same time it's right at the center of the city. In the same street, going up a few steps you will find those traditional churches with golden domes and some romantic ancient streets with cafés and restaurants! Don't miss the café/shop of the traditional LVIV Handmade Chocolate and their Ice Cream with Blueberries!!!! This apartment is also at the corner of the main street of Kiev, called Khreshchatyk! Everything is very near by foot, including night clubs, restaurants, bars, supermarket, cafés... just anything you want.. even McDonald's ugh!!! The apartment itself is complete and offers everything you need for a short or long stay. The kitchen is super ultra equipped with very good wash & dry machine, dish washer, fridge with freezer, stove, oven, electric kettle, dishes and utensils and all other comforts of a really good home. The table at the kitchen is just so cute and romantic for a breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will feel very happy and relaxed here, even if you come alone. And if you can cook you gonna love the kitchen! Just walk to the Billa supermarket at underground of Maidan (inside that round glass dome at the square) and buy something to cook. And I recommend you to buy the Ukrainian food (milk, yogurt, bread, cheese, meat, vegetables) at the supermarket because of their exceptional quality. Much better than imports and cheaper! This apartment is at the last floor of the building and have windows in the both sides of the apartment, thus having excellent ventilation. In the afternoon you will see an infinite number of swallows doing their show in the sky of Kiev. I like to enjoy this moment from the sofa. There is no elevator in the building, but this is part of the romantic atmosphere, as you may notice. Feel thankful for the opportunity to exercise a little bit. (I lost my belly fat in a week!). At the living room, the furniture is just perfect and comfortable and both sofas are convertible beds. Cable TV with local and international channels is available and fast speed wifi Internet is also there (with a very good router!). There are plenty of closets to store your clothes, bags and stuff in the bedroom and at the entrance hall and the bed is very big and comfortable (I'm a tall guy). If you rent this place, please make sure to leave it in the same condition as you found it, because this is my favorite place in Kiev and I always come back here! Before getting into the living room, please take off your shoes and leave at the entrance hall, OK? And I suggest you to book this apartment with great advance, because apparently I'm not the only one to love this place.
I love this apartment! I stayed four in Kiev and this is by far the best one I stayed in. The apartment is beautifully renovated but what makes the difference is hte host. Kayeryna has it decorated that makes it feel like home. I believe she owns this apartment and you can tell she has put her one personal touch and loving care into every aspect of it, from the live orchid plants to the nice paintings in the walls. The decor is more classical-homey than modern-chic. However, he kitchen and the bathroom has nice, new cabinets, appliances, tile and fixtures. The place looks at least as good in person as it does in the photos and probably better. And it is very clean. It also has a full set of nice dishes and stainless steel cookware, The only thing to be aware of, although I would not consider it a negative for me personally, is that it is on the 5th floor with no elevator.
Kateryna is also an exellent and very responsive host. She was very nice to help me get a taxi to and from the airport for less than $20 compared to the $40 that taxi drivers charge me.
Kateryna is a great host and everything about the stay was excellent. She provided helpful directions to the apartment and met us there at the agreed time. Kateryna showed us the apartment and offered to answer any questions we had. We did not encounter any issues but it was reassuring to know that she was available and willing to help. We stayed a second time a few days later and Kateryna went out to buy additional supplies for the apartment.
The apartment itself is fantastic! Perfectly located just off of Khreschatyk (a 1 minute walk around the corner). The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and well-decorated. Very comfortable bed and couches. The WiFi worked well, with no issues. There is also a beautiful view of a church, particularly nice when lit up at night.
As others have noted, the light comes in through the blinds in the bedroom, so I would recommend a sleeping mask to those who are sensitive to light and want to sleep in late. The only other thing to note, as others have, is that it is on the fifth floor and there is no elevator. We did not have any issue with this, but just want to note for those for whom it would be a concern. Finally, the shower head is not mounted up high so you need to hold it as you shower or take a bath. This is a common setup in the former Soviet countries from what I've seen in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, but just want to note it for those who have not travelled in the region or encountered this. Again, not a major issue.
Overall, it was an incredible experience. This was my first visit to Kiev and I wanted to be close to the center. The apartment exceeded any expectations, and Kateryna is an excellent host. I would highly recommend that anyone going to Kiev stay here!
