Private bedroom in a 2 bedroom apt available for monthly stays or shorter stays, located in Cote des Neiges, TV inside each bedroom, queen size bed, desk, very fast wi-fi, full kitchen, Air Conditioner in the bedroom during the summer, lots of floor space in the room. Sleeps up to 2 adults, very basic private apt in a local residential area, parking is ok on the street but sometimes hard to find if you come after 7 pm, all the services are offered in the apt. Driving time to the center of downtown is 12 mins. You are close to 2 metros, Plamondon and Outremont, also walking distance to UdeM (15 mins). This room is 550$ monthly for one. A great value and so easy to go all over Montreal from this location. Close to the University of Montreal, great food shopping, x5 hospitals in this area, time from the airport by taxi is 18 mins (40$) The listing says per month and arrangements can be made for week to week. Each bedroom door locks, the wifi is fast. If you want a 2nd person in the room just add 10$ per night.

I was host for a few weeks in the "Montreal University student room" offered by Gail. She was very nice and friendly for the presentation of the house. The place, although not luxurious, was confortable enough, the room was well furnished (bed, desk, wardrobe and several drawers). and the house quite well equiped (kitchen stuff, fridge&freezer, washing machine, refrigerator). Moreover, it was close to a variety of grocery stores. I would definitely reccomand it if you are planning to go the the UdeM for a short period (just 15-20 minutes walking) or if you are new to the city and are looking to a first place to settle down (as in my case), even considering to take a long-term stay afterwards (but for that I would suggest to take a look at other offers in town, there are plenty, and then compare with your needs).
I decided to give it a go based on existing reviews. Well, it’s truthful in the descriptions to the extent of clearness and low cost, and the effort Ms. Gail Sabra to make her guests happy. However, some aspects were not as exposed: the apartment #3 has seen better days and needs renovation as well as newer tv and furniture; soundproof isn’t presented; not in the prettiest neighborhood. No offence, I can’t recommend this place, may be because it wasn’t a right fit for me or my expectations didn’t match reality. And, I’m sure it’s a good option for those who need a proximity to UdeM or hospital(s).
Even thought I arrived very late that day, Gail was still waiting for me and came over for me. Stay in Gail's is comfortable. Room is nice and clean, it's convenient as well
My girlfriend and I stayed in one of Gail's rooms on Barclay Ave for a week and had a great time! She was very accommodating and supplied us with everything we needed. The neighborhood wasn't the in the greatest part of Montreal, but it still felt safe. There free was parking on the street but we had to move our car a few times for street cleaning. Overall, great experience!
Gail was very accommodating and helpful while I stayed at her apartment. I would definitely stay at one of her places again! Place was clean and exactly like the pictures showed.
Nice and clean room. Great value. Was very convenient for me to get to the Jewish Hospital. Other than that, not the prettiest neighbourhood of Montreal, but safe and OK.
We came up from the states and spent 4 nights while looking for an apartment to move into. Gail was extremely helpful in helping us to understand the area and navigate our way around. the apartment was clean with plenty of linen and towels and suited our needs and budget perfectly. Very convenient for using public transportation with convenient store, restaurant, and grocery just a block away. Thanks for all your help Gail!

Manage a network of downtown rooms, less expensive than a hostel, always available to give information, suggestions. Where to look for an apt if you are staying in the city. The location(s) are next to the subway/metro, rates are from 40$ 210$ (weekly), private apts from 75$ to 120$. All houses/apts are private and downtown at various locations, parking is free, each room or apt is fully furnished with many additional extras, free parking etc.
