We were a family of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids) and stayed here for 2 nights in July 2014. The location is the biggest plus and the host is very helpful.
Would recommend for stay.
In a nutshell:
The flat is just perfectly located.
Ingrid was super responsive, super flexible, super accommodating.
A truly perfect experience.
With a bit more wording:
Indeed you may need to be a bit in the mood for night life because the streets are very lively over night. So you better get home late not to be bothered by the people hanging out till late and having fun in the street. They can be heard.
Or you close the window and you get aircon on...but it totally depends the type of person you are.
From my point of view, totally recommendable. You get out this place and you are int he heart of trastevere, with just an endless list of places where to eat, hang out, have a drink, meet someone, sing a song.
Piazza Navona and the other center of rome is walking distance and a smooth and easy walk.
Ingrid just make all this experience even better by preparing the flat to welcome you outstandingly.
I have no remarks whatsoever. Just awesome.
We highly recommend this apartment. It is very clean (Ingrid even sent someone in to clean mid-week!) and there is room for a family or a group of friends to spread out a bit. The street noise might be a problem for some, but since there are air conditioning units in 2 of the bedrooms, we just closed the windows and used the fan to diminish the noise. The neighborhood was good; easy to walk to historical sights and with many good restaurants quite literally outside our door. The neighborhood is more than 500 years old, and morning is relatively quiet, making it easy to imagine medieval life here. There is also a beautiful Basilica only 3 streets from the apartment.
Ingrid was exceptionally helpful. She helped us with parking, minor issues that arose while we were there (light bulbs, coffee maker) and even directed us to a hospital when our son needed to see a doctor. We could not have asked (email hidden). We would have been lost without her.
The only warning I would give is for anyone considering driving here--and probably mostly for Americans: DON'T. Rome in general is confusing and hard to navigate. Trastevere is impossibly difficult to drive in for a first-time visitor. It is a maze of narrow streets, street names are hard to see, many of them are one-way, you are often sharing the streets with hordes of pedestrians (the later it is, the truer this is) and parking situation is very difficult. We drove ONLY because we were coming from San Marino and planned to do some side trips from Rome, and the time and cost of taking a train for all 4 people made driving more economical. If we had to do it again we would return the car at the airport and take a taxi into the city. NONE of this should diminish your enthusiasm for taking this apartment. We just did not know any better.
We had a lovely stay in this atmospheric apartment! Ingrid was the perfect host to us - welcoming, responsive and very helpful and her local tips are too good to miss!
The apartment benefits from a great central Trastevere location, we really enjoyed walking everywhere including all the main sights in Rome but still being in the Trastevere area. As others have said, it (email hidden)ly area and there is a lot going on especially on the weekends. If you like the buzz of Trastevere then this won't be problem but it's not an area for someone looking for absolute peace & silence.
The apartment is compact and has a nice feel to it. It is as wonderful as the listing says except for the third bathroom which is slightly smaller than we imagined, is on top of the other bedroom and doesn't have a door. Having said that - this (email hidden) anyway and definitely would recommend it!
We stayed at the apartment in May 2014 and had a great time. Trastevere is an excellent neighborhood. Great restaurants, easy to walk all over the city and not very many tourists. The only two warnings are that there are several bars outside the apartment making it very loud so bring earplugs, and the water pressure in the shower is very poor. Those to things said, I would definitely stay here again and Ingrid was very nice and very helpful.
Great stay, very convenient location and host is very responsive
My parents and I had a wonderful time in Rome in the last days of April 2014. Ingrid's apartment was perfect for our stay as we was out in the city most of the time. The apartment was clean and with a really good location for tourists with almost anything within walking distance. Ingrid was very, very helpful before and under our stay.
The apartment fully lived up to our expectations, and it was as the pictures and the profile described.
There was, though, some noise from the streets in the evening, but it is a small price to pay for living in one of the most liveliest areas of Rome. Bring some earplugs if you're sensitive to noise. In the weekdays when we were there (mon-thurs), it was quiet after around midnight.
Really nice apartment in the lively and authentically Roman area of Travastere. We got lost trying to find it but once we got to the apartment we realised we were central to everything you need - great bakery/take away pizzeria a few steps away; Pharmacy, convenience store and lots and lots of bars and restaurants.
The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water, towels and comfy beds.
It is probably not an apartment to cook on a big scale in as the kitchen is small but perfect for drinks and snacks etc.
One thing to point out is that the area gets noisy at night - it didn't bother us too much but if you want a peaceful area, Travastere is probably not for you.
Ingrid (email hidden) - helpful and friendly but not in your face!
Ingrid was very friendly and helpful with informing us on the neighborhood, Her apartment was perfectly located by many restaurants and bars in Trastevere. We were only in town for the night, but the apartment was charming and comfortable. I would recommend it for a group of travelers looking to stay in a cool neighborhood.
