I Can't say enough good things abut these lovely sisters. Kind, caring, considerate, accommodating. Marcia and Meg are the 2 we spoke with most often, although anyone (including their company) was kind and friendly as well. Felt like I was at home and my friends lived right above me.
Home was gorgeous, everything was clean, they even traded out our towels and gave us filtered water.
Bed was comfy, linens were soft. Basement apartment was perfect. We even had control of our air. We have plenty of hot water and water pressure.
Our trip to The city of brotherly love would not have been successful without the help and care and home of these ladies.
Perfect Airbnb! Marcia and her sisters were incredibly accommodating and made our first time trip to Philly fantastic. The sleeping space is very open with all the amenities one would need. Great location; close to nice boutique coffee shops and bars with several bus/subway stations right down the street. Comfortable murphy bed. Thanks for everything Marcia!

Marcia responded quickly to our messages. She noticed later that she had not answered our question about parking and corrected that by allowing us to stay in her spot, which was very much appreciated. We were delayed in arriving by traffic on the way and she was waiting for us to show us where to park. She was gracious and welcoming on arrival and gave us information about the neighborhood restaurants and places of interest and about public transportation, all of which was very helpful. The location is great, with several restaurants and coffee shops within a short distance. We were able to walk or take a bus every where we wanted to go.
Marcia is such a helpful and warm host that we felt extremely welcome in our first trip to Philadelphia. She gave us many tips on getting around the city, what we might be interested in, and where we could pop by for a good, hearty meal. Marcia's cat is also adorable and friendly :)
The room and private bathroom were clean and well-stocked, while the pantry was fully equipped with everything we needed, from tea bags to milk to filtered water.
The area is pretty quiet after 10+pm, so no worries about traffic. As the room is at the basement, we heard footsteps from above (minimal) but the house usually goes quiet at around 10+pm, and stays that way till 10+am until we hear the first footsteps. So not a big issue.
We felt very safe walking in the area. Fairmount Avenue is chockful of great eats (many of which Marcia recommended) and is within walking distance to notable places like Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rodin Museum, Barnes Foundation and Eastern State Penitentiary. So much so that we hardly had to use the bus or metro (there is one bus that takes you along the main historic district and up to Penn's Landing at the pier, and the bus stop is just at the junction where the house is).
