About this listing
City loft in the heart of downtown St. Louis! Easy access to transit, grocery/food market, restaurants, shops and the Arch - the location can’t be beat. Experience St. Louis like a local with friendly and welcoming hosts!
The loft features an open floor plan, gourmet kitchen, and Chicago-style windows with breathtaking skyline views. Your private guest bedroom is located right next to your private bathroom, on the opposite end of the loft from our master bedroom where my husband and I stay. You will have privacy in our home.
Your bedroom is very spacious with a full size (double) bed and walk in closet. There is plenty of sun light in the bedroom, along with pull down shades to keep the sun out while sleeping. Your private bathroom has a shower but not a bathtub; towels, toiletries and a blow dryer are provided. You will have shared access to the kitchen, dining and living space. Wi-Fi is available.
Interaction with Guests
Our busy and fluctuating schedules may not always allow for us to spend much time with our guests, though we enjoy having the company. We're very adaptable to various personalities, and are about as laid back as you will find! As hosts, our goal is for you to feel at home and comfortable.
We are centrally located close to all the downtown attractions, yet we are off the main strip which gets crowded and loud on weekends. You will sleep comfortably in peace and quiet in our loft!
Our guests love to spend their time exploring downtown:
- Arch: ten minute walk
- City Museum: ten minute walk
- City Garden Sculpture Park: 1 block away
- Convention Center: two minute walk
- Edward Jones Dome: five minute walk
- Busch (Cardinal’s) Stadium: ten minute walk
If arriving from the airport, the Metrolink train will take you right into downtown, a two minute walk to our loft. If arriving by car, there is metered parking on the street ($1/ hour from 8am-7pm, free on Sundays) or a Parking Garage right next door for $16/ day (cash only).
Once you are here, you can walk everywhere downtown, or take the MetroLink to explore other neighborhoods. If you prefer to bike, you can rent from the bike shop just down the block.

About the Host, Mary
I'm a community activist with a deep interest in urban food projects as a means to grow healthy food as well as sustain a healthy urban social fabric. My husband and I co-founded the nonprofit Urban Harvest STL and are building the first rooftop farm in the city of St Louis - the FOOD ROOF Farm. At work, I mentor students and collaborate with campus partners to institutionalize sustainability at Washington University in St Louis.
I married my better half, Joe, and together we love traveling the world. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing different cultures, and have lived in both Spain and Sweden. A city farmer, rooftop beekeeper, bike commuter, nomadic traveler, yogi, relentless reader, and recovering architect, I have diverse interests and passions that converge around community, health and sustainability.
