City loft in the heart of downtown St. Louis! Easy access to transit, grocery/food market, restaurants, shops and the Arch - the location can’t be beat. Experience St. Louis like a local with friendly and welcoming hosts!
The loft features an open floor plan, gourmet kitchen, 2 bedrooms and Chicago-style windows with breathtaking skyline views. Your private guest bedroom is located right next to your private bathroom, on the opposite end of the loft from our master bedroom where my husband and I stay. You will have privacy in our home.
Your bedroom is very spacious with a full size (double) bed and walk in closet. There is plenty of sun light in the bedroom, along with pull down shades to keep the sun out while sleeping. Your private bathroom has a shower but not a bathtub; towels, toiletries and a blow dryer are provided. You will have shared access to the kitchen, dining and living space. Wi-Fi is available.
Interaction with Guests
Our busy and fluctuating schedules may not always allow for us to spend much time with our guests, though we enjoy having the company. We're very adaptable to various personalities, and are about as laid back as you will find! As hosts, our goal is for you to feel at home and comfortable.
We are centrally located close to all the downtown attractions, yet we are off the main strip which gets crowded and loud on weekends. You will sleep comfortably in peace and quiet in our loft!
Our guests love to spend their time exploring downtown:
- Arch: ten minute walk
- City Museum: ten minute walk
- City Garden Sculpture Park: 1 block away
- Convention Center: two minute walk
- Edward Jones Dome: five minute walk
- Busch (Cardinal’s) Stadium: ten minute walk
If arriving from the airport, the Metrolink train will take you right into downtown, a two minute walk to our loft. If arriving by car, there is metered parking on the street ($1/ hour from 8am-7pm, free on Sundays) or a Parking Garage right next door for $16/ day (cash only).
Once you are here, you can walk everywhere downtown, or take the MetroLink to explore other neighborhoods. If you prefer to bike, you can rent from the bike shop just down the block.
Other Things to Note
Allergy sufferers - we have 2 adult cats in the home, though we keep it very clean. We wash the bed sheets and towels with scent and dye free detergent.
BEFORE REQUESTING A RESERVATION PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR AIRBNB PROFILE PAGE, INCLUDING YOUR PHOTO AND I.D. VERIFICATION.
We look forward to hosting you, and ask that you treat the loft as it were your own.
We ask that you smoke outside, clean up after yourself, refrain from being noisy after 10pm, but most of all, enjoy yourselves!
Check-In after 12pm, check-out before 11am
Mary was GREAT. Prior to the visit we had excellent communication. The bedroom was very comfortable--spacious, clean, well-appointed. Her two kitties were sweet. We basically used the room to crash in at night after our day's events. The view was amazing. It was our first time in St Louis. It will be very memorable. SUCH a nice time.
Very nice hosts, easy to communicate with, wonderful room with a stunning view and a very comfortable bed in a beautiful appartment in the center of town - perfect for my stay.
Mary has a great apartment and everything was perfect, the location is great and you have access to everything, restaurants, groceries, metro etc.
Highly recommend it for anyone taking a trip to St. Louis and wants to have a great time.
My wife & I stayed with Mary & Joe over a weekend. Their place was exactly as-advertised: great location and a great view! The bedroom was cozy & spacious, and the bathroom was close by w/ a nice shower. I am actually allergic to cats and was prepared to deal with some sniffling & sneezing but didn't have a single issue thanks to the impeccable cleanliness and well-implemented door locks. Most of all, Mary was excellent with her communication, so everything went as smoothly as possible. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend this apartment. It is a lovely, bright, very comfortable place in a gorgeous building and great location. I was visiting St. Louis for a downtown conference and this was perfect. Mary and Joe were gracious hosts and they've done an incredible job making this one of the best airbnb options out there.
What a wonderful apartment in which to spend a couple of nights. Mary and Joe were very gracious hosts, and their two cats were adorable. Their modern apartment was spotlessly clean, as was my private bedroom and bathroom. The views from the 15th floor were spectacular, particularly at night, and I was able to fully enjoy a quiet and restful 2 nights. Thank you so much for letting me stay there and if I ever return to St. L, I'll be sure and contact you again.
Mary and her husband were so gracious to accommodate my later evening arrival time from Nashville. Goose and I became fast friends, and the space was just as the listing said it would be! You are in walking distance of all the dining and parks you could want!
I'm a community activist with a deep interest in urban food projects as a means to grow healthy food as well as sustain a healthy urban social fabric. My husband and I co-founded the nonprofit Urban Harvest STL and are building the first rooftop farm in the city of St Louis - the FOOD ROOF Farm. At work, I mentor students and collaborate with campus partners to institutionalize sustainability at Washington University in St Louis.
I married my better half, Joe, and together we love traveling the world. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing different cultures, and have lived in both Spain and Sweden. A city farmer, rooftop beekeeper, bike commuter, nomadic traveler, yogi, relentless reader, and recovering architect, I have diverse interests and passions that converge around community, health and sustainability.
