Clean (now maid-serviced), airy, sunny, corner, top-floor, well-appointed studio apartment in the heart of Hayes Valley (and San Francisco itself)! Near the Hayes Street commercial district (restaurants, boutiques, Patricia's Green, the Biergarten, food truck lot, Smitten, etc.), yet far enough away to minimize noise. Close to all public transit (Muni, BART, buses, etc.), City Hall, Opera House, SF Jazz, Alamo Square. Walking distance (+/-15 minutes) from the Mission, Castro, Church & Market, Lower Haight, Divisadero corridor, NoPa, etc.
Full memoryfoam mattress easily flips up and away, pivoting into the walk-in closet as a Murphy Bed. This leaves a large, open area for easy, uncluttered daytime living. Apartment also features a roomy walk-in closet, porcelain bathtub ideal for soaking and stretching, and efficient, comfortable, and charming kitchen. Western exposure and seven generous windows flood the apartment with light, especially in the afternoon.
Looking for friendly, quiet, respectful folks who want to enjoy this absolutely adorable and comfy space when I'm down at my other place in Los Angeles. Please let me know a little something about yourself and what brings you to San Francisco. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about my apartment or the Bay Area!
Note: if you need accommodations for more than two guests, my neighbor also has his unit available on Airbnb. We're happy to do a double booking for larger parties. Check his listing out here: (website hidden).
1. Please return the apartment to the state in which you found it.
2. Look around the apartment before leaving for anything you may have left behind.
3. Do not disturb our neighbors. Thanks.
4. Please enjoy your recreational activities moderately.
5. Put all linens in the hamper inside the closet. Please leave the mattress protector on the bed.
6. Feel free to leave behind a memento of your time here in SF on my refrigerator. Bullet magnets are located on the right side of the fridge. (It's really more of an invitation than a rule, isn't it?)
Centrally-located studio with a great neighborhood and easy access to public transportation. Jacob was very responsive when arranging the reservation, and all the amenities that he promised were provided upon arrival. The nearby construction does get a bit noisy -- even on the weekends -- but I would still definitely recommend!
Prime spot in the heart of hayes valley. Lots of nice of cafés and restaurants around. Nice and light appartment in a typical SF victorian building. Nice and light, good bed, everything we needed. It is noisy at night if you sleep with the windows open, but thats part of being in a lively neighbourhood.
Jacob gave lots of info about the apartment and was easy to reach via the app.
Centrally located, lots of great food & shops. Quiet building although the street traffic at night can be noisy so bring earplugs! Could have used some more towels for a 3 night stay, I'm sure Jacob would be fine if asked. Super polite & helpful when I arrived a bit early & needed keys. Clean place. Thanks Jacob!
We phoned with Jacob and he's really nice and helpful, also communication through AirBnB was good. Thanks for that! The apartment is a bit pricey in our opinion, especially the bathroom could need some renovation. Also a small table and two chairs in the kitchen would be cool to sit down and grab a thing. You pay particularly for good communication, a comfy bed and an awesome location: bars, restaurants and cool shops all around.
Fantastic location in one of the best neighbourhoods in SF. Luxury this apartment isn't, nor does it pretend to be but it's a bright, sunny, safe place to be. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced base in a great city.
Location is good, neighbourhood is cool. Apartment is lightful and compact. Basic stuff like towels and clean sheets was there as promised. It was easy to check in and check out. But even tho it is in 3rd floor the noises from the street carry up quite easy.
If coming there with car, the parking was not easy to find. And we got a parking ticket of 78$ when the car was in a 2h-spot just a bit more than 2h.
Apartment wasnt the cleanest, but that might be part of American habits. :) Bathroom is small but works. We didnt get the point of the roll-up-bed, it was not very good to sleep on for 2persons but works for few nights. The wifi was working well all the time!
Jacob answered very well to all the messages and we had a good time!
Hip and fun location to live like a local away from all the touristy areas! The apartment itself was simple and clean, free of nicknacks and clutter. The idea of leaving a minimal footprint is clear from the beginning with Jacob's place if you read the manual. We were contacted to ask how many towels we would need-which was a 1st in my airbnb experiences. Normally there are extra towels, plenty of glasses and plates, etc but not with Jacob's place. I gotta tell ya, at first it was strange but after the first day it was no big deal. The coffee and bagel shop down stairs is amazing, the juice stop on the square is great for your hangovers, there are plenty of local markets for snacks and drinks, and great shopping. This area felt super SAFE and was easy to walk to the mission district and Dolores park- hit neighborhoods nearby. Our two friends live in marina and north beach and they could not BELIEVE how great the place was! Thanks, Jacob!
About the Host, Jacob
Originally from Nebraska, I moved to San Francisco from the East Coast last year. My time in San Francisco has confirmed that I want to spend the remainder of my life centered on the West Coast, though perhaps not in San Francisco itself. I'm using Airbnb since a sizable chunk of my time is also spent Los Angeles, where I'm currently recovering from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident last spring.
Please feel free to message me with a booking inquiry. I find I work best with guests who are quiet, respectful, tidy, and self-sufficient (I'm plenty hospitable, but a concierge I am not). It pleases me to be able share this awesome, adorable space with other cool, friendly people when I'm away. I love San Francisco and am happy to tell you all kinds of awesome things to do here during your visit!
(For those who book, please do me a favor and familiarize yourself with the House Manual here on Airbnb so as to establish mutual expectations before your stay.)
