Clean (now maid-serviced), airy, sunny, corner, top-floor, well-appointed studio apartment in the heart of Hayes Valley (and San Francisco itself)! Near the Hayes Street commercial district (restaurants, boutiques, Patricia's Green, the Biergarten, food truck lot, Smitten, etc.), yet far enough away to minimize noise. Western exposure and seven generous windows flood the apartment with light, especially in the afternoon.
Looking for friendly, quiet, respectful folks who want to enjoy this absolutely adorable and comfy space when I'm down at my other place in Los Angeles. Please let me know a little something about yourself and what brings you to San Francisco. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about my apartment or the Bay Area!
Note: if you need accommodations for more than two guests, my neighbor also has his unit available on Airbnb. We're happy to do a double booking for larger parties. Check his listing out here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1864739.
1. Please return the apartment to the state in which you found it.
2. Look around the apartment before leaving for anything you may have left behind.
3. Do not disturb our neighbors. Thanks.
4. Please enjoy your recreational activities moderately.
5. Put all linens in the hamper inside the closet. Please leave the mattress protector on the bed.
6. Feel free to leave behind a memento of your time here in SF on my refrigerator. Bullet magnets are located on the right side of the fridge. (It's really more of an invitation than a rule, isn't it?)
Jacob was polite, professional, provided great information, and runs a tight ship. The place is in a great location near lots of good shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was small but perfect, and in a great location. Jacob was very responsive and was great to deal with. The area around Hayes Valley is so lovely, I will definitely be back again!
This is my 2nd stay in Jacob's Bird Nest. I loved it so much when I stayed there a bit over a year ago, I was delighted to see it available again for me on this visit. The parking seemed a bit more challenging this time around. The street parking is free, but I did spend some time driving around looking for a spot, trying to stay aware of the times, and street cleaning days. But the location and charm of the apartment far out weigh the parking negative. Just be mindful the apartment doesn't have a TV or microwave. Which was fine for me. But does have decent wifi.
Location couldn't be better, and the sparsely furnished apartment is terrific for one or two people traveling. Jacob has a house manual that tells you everything you need for a smooth stay, and he texted us check in halfway through our stay. We were very happy staying in Hayes Valley and we're glad we picked Jacob's convenient apartment.
Basic apartment in a great location - cafes, restaurants and bars right outside. Very comfortable bed.
House was very clean upon arrival. Great location/neighborhood. Mostly good experience except that the fuses blew out and the power didn't work even after they had been replaced. Host should have provided extra fuses and warned that this could happen if it is something that is common. Poor quality bath towels, I recommend bringing your own. Host's phone number was out of service although he was quick to respond to emails.
Jacob responds quickly and left clear instructions. This apartment is small and pretty vintage: if you're looking for something recently overhauled, look elsewhere! However, it is in a great location, clean, and full of light. We weren't looking for some place to hang out during the day. It's above a coffee shop, so you'll get a little noise in the morning but nothing some earplugs can't fix.
Overall, I'm glad we stayed here and I'd recommend it!
Originally from Nebraska, I moved to San Francisco from the East Coast last year. My time in San Francisco has confirmed that I want to spend the remainder of my life centered on the West Coast, though perhaps not in San Francisco itself. I'm using Airbnb since a sizable chunk of my time is also spent Los Angeles, where I'm currently recovering from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident last spring.
Please feel free to message me with a booking inquiry. I find I work best with guests who are quiet, respectful, tidy, and self-sufficient (I'm plenty hospitable, but a concierge I am not). It pleases me to be able share this awesome, adorable space with other cool, friendly people when I'm away. I love San Francisco and am happy to tell you all kinds of awesome things to do here during your visit!
(For those who book, please do me a favor and familiarize yourself with the House Manual here on Airbnb so as to establish mutual expectations before your stay.)
