Our two roomed apartment located in a renovated old Greek building reflecting an old Istanbul feeling might be just what you need!

The Space

Our apartment is located on the top floor in a renovated historical Greek house in Elmadağ, a safe and calm neighborhood near Taksim square.

What is unique about our apartment is the historical touch familiar to Istanbul, something we strived to keep while renovating and furnishing. The hard wooden floors, the high ceilings, the high white wooden doors, shutters and the lace curtains will all make you feel the true old Istanbul feeling immediately as you enter. This way, you will be a traveller even resting at home!

The apartment has two rooms and each can be slept. You'll have a double bed and a single sofa bed in the bedroom; a single and a very comfortable IKEA double sofa bed in the living room. So, the apartment has a capacity of six. If your group is larger, or you need more rooms, please note that we have two more apartments in the same building.

There is a huge garden on the rear side, to which the apartment owes its silent and cool atmosphere. And thanks to the huge date palm tree in the garden, you will not feel any need for a technological cooling system, but nature will take care of this for you! The living room already has an air conditioner, and if you need one in the bedroom, let me know and I will provide one for you.

You will not have access to the garden, but the branches and the leaves of our beautiful date palm tree touch the windows, creating a sweet smell in the bedroom, something I'm sure you'll love waking up in the mornings. You can easily reach and take those sweet fruits coming from the heaven.

If you would like to spend your holiday in a place reflecting the culture and history of Istanbul itself, this place is ideal for you.

Hope you'll have a great time in our beloved city!

The Neighborhood

The building is located in Elmadağ, a calm and safe neighborhood near Taksim square. Hilton Hotel is only 3-4 and Taksim square is within only 10-15 minute walking distance, which (as you should know if you are planning to come to Istanbul) is the artistic and cultural centre of the city with its cafes, restaurants, bars, wine houses, night clubs, theaters and movie theaters. And you can get to Sultanahmet, the historical town within 10-15 minutes if you take a taxi, which is the same with Bosphorus.

On the intersecting street called Babil, you can find everything you may need from the markets to butchers, restaurants to bakeries, laundries to buffets.

Getting around

Bus station is within a 2-3 minute reach. And the nearest metro station is in Taksim square that you can get to in 10 minutes on foot.

  • We had a great experience in this lovely property in the heart of Taksim area. Asil was the perfect host. The house was very clean and had all the amenities.

  • Asli was an absolutely fantastic host, she supplied us with very personal attention and lots of local information on places to eat and things to see and do, although you are never short of those in Istanbul! The apartment is lovely as well much bigger than I expected and very comfortable, it's not too hot and has great AC and big windows, it's very central and in a pretty busy area in Taksim Square but it's a brilliant location to see the City in my opinion. The apartment was clean and tidy and I thought the beds were comfortable too the art was also really great and it had a really modern kitchen, lots of good little local shops and places to grab food around the immediate area even late night was also very useful. I would recommend the apartment to anyone and Asli as a host as well she honestly was so nice from day one, and very quick with her communications, her english is fluent and she was accommodating with everything we needed even though I told her the wrong times that we were arriving and leaving she was absolutely fine and just arranged to come and meet us a little earlier she could not have been any more helpful, thank you so much Asli!

  • We spent four nights in Asli's Pink House in Istanbul, just ten minutes away from Taksim square. Although were nine people, there was enough space to feel comfortable. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast in the lovely small garden just behind the house.
Asli was a really great host. Although we arrived very late in the night, she warmly welcomed us. Moreover, she cared about our needs all the time and provided us with what we wanted. When we had any questions about special places in Istanbul, she provided us with valuable tips. We enjoyed a great time in Asli's Pink House - 100% recommended!

  • The apartment was very clean and spacy but unfortunately only for 8 people (we booked it for 10). Special thanks to Asli, she was always there for us and helped with a million things (airport pick-up, special spots and recommendations).

    Response from Asli:

Thanks for your nice review Vahid! As I make explicit in the listing, we have two extra beds. As we agreed that 8 of your friends would stay at the villa, and the remaining at the Historical House, I did not get ready the extra beds for you. Wish you told me you needed them, though I always warn my guests having big groups about the composition and the single bathroom. Anyway, sincerely it was great to get to know you and many thanks for your kindness and understanding!

  • The house was very clean and spacy but the best was definitely the beautiful backyard. Special thanks to Asli, she was always there for us and helped with a million things (airport pick-up, special spots and recommendations).

  • I strongly recommend the Pink House and Asli as a host! She was very helpful and very nice. The apartment was all we hoped for. Clean and tidy and fit perfectly for nine people, with several bathrooms and a wonderful terrace! Just ten minutes from Taksim square. We had an amazing time in Istabul! :-)

  • We went to the villa for 4 days. We were 6.
Asli is a really nice host. She came to pick us at the bus stop and welcomed us with loukroum. That was really a warm welcome.

The villa is located in a popular district so it is nice to feel "local". The downside is there is noise on the street till 11~12pm. The description of the villa was accurate. It was relaxing having a tea and listening to the music from the 5.1 sound system after a day of visit.

It was easy to go to the old town by metro or funicular from the villa. It took us about 20 minutes. Walking is a perfect choice as there is a predestrian street near by.

I recommand greatly this place to you.

  • We spend four fantastic days in Aslis wonderful Pink House.
Without any doubt it was the perfect decision. We were eleven people and everybody was very happy with it.
The house is excactly as described. The beds are good, the bathrooms clean and spacious and the garden is very lovely.
The location is also great. Everything you need is within walking distance. And you reach the Taksim Place in about 10mins.
Thank you very much for the great time, Asli! Next time in Istanbul, we defnitely come back to stay in one of your houses!

  • The experience we had at the Asli's House was great! Asli was a very helpful and perfect host; she made everything clear and simple for us. The location was only a 10 minute walk from the taksim place and the public transport. The neighborhood is authentic, really charming and has a lots of local shops and typical turkish restaurants. It is the place to stay when you want to live as a "Stanbouliote" people. We had 15 people and slept comfortably. The house is very clean, well-equiped and spacious. I would definitely recommend Asli for your Istanbul vacation!
