The apartment is as described. Good central location. Quiet at night. The host was welcoming and helpful. Everything worked as described. Internet access was rock solid. The washing machine was very useful. Very good drinking water from the tap. Plenty of hot water for the Bath/shower. The mini fridge was great for cold drinks and snacks during the very hot week I was in Amsterdam. I'd be happy to stay here again.
Had such a great time in Amsterdam! The apartments location is perfect, Lisa & Peter Paul were super helpful and on arrival provided us heaps of information for cool places to go, and they even left us some breakfast on our doorstep the next morning which was a delight after flying for 24 hours. Would definitely stay here again when we go back!
Wirklich ganz toll. Nur zu empfehlen - gerne wieder!
My wife and I had an amazing four days in Amsterdam staying at Lisa and Peter Paul's apartment. They are the perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We missed our plane and ended up arriving 24 hours later than scheduled but they managed to still meet us and welcome us on our arrival despite the disruption. And the breakfast they served us on our first morning was incredible. The best apple pie and muffins we have ever had! If Airbnb were running "Best Host" awards, they would definitely get out vote!
The apartment was perfect for our needs, had everything we needed and has the most amazing shower. It is in the best location and extremely central. Nothing was more than a 20 minute walk away. Amsterdam is one of our favourite cities and when we visit again, we will definitely stay here again. We cannot recommend the apartment highly enough. Thank you so much Lisa and Peter Paul!
Christy & Richard
The apartment itself is incredibly spacious and is perfect for 2 people. It has everything you need and is in a fantastic location! It is within walking distance from all main attractions, great cafes and restaurants. It is situated on the top floor of a gorgeous canal building in the "9 streets" area.
Peter greeted us when we arrived and carried our suitcases up the stairs which was much appreciated. He took us through the apartment and gave great suggestions on what to do/see/eat in Amsterdam. When chatting with Peter upon arrival he also gave us some apple pie, which was delicious!
Near the end of our stay Lisa and Peter came down to have a chat goodbye with us. We felt their hospitality was truly genuine and was the best we have ever experienced.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to everyone.
Best Airbnb experience to date! Lisa and Peter Paul deserve the glowing reviews they've received. Their communications was excellent, from the time I inquired until we departed. They contacted us before our arrival date and Peter Paul met us at the appointed hour. He helped carry my bag up the stairs and Lisa prepared fresh apple pie for us. The apartment was stocked with orange juice, coffee and, my new favorite, stroopwaffles. Peter Paul was beyond helpful with suggestions. The day before our departure, Peter Paul helped us call a taxi and the next morning, helped carry my bag down the stairs. The flat is exactly as pictured and superb is not an exaggeration. It was modern, clean and very comfortable. Great location, walkable to many attractions in town. Four nights was just too short! The three flights of stairs to reach the flat can look daunting at the end of a day but they really are a small inconvenience if you don't have mobility concerns. Plus, you're walking around everywhere anyway! A++++, we would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much, Peter Paul and Lisa!
Lisa and Peter could not have made us feel any more welcome in their home. After a decent walk from Centraal Station, Peter greeted us downstairs and brought both of our heavy suitcases up the stairs. Even more, Lisa welcomed us upstairs with delicious warm apple pie. We felt so taken care of!
The apartment itself was just as described if not more comfy. The separate living/sleeping area allowed us to spread out a bit. The Nespresso machine hit the spot first thing in the morning and there was a small fridge to house random groceries. Lisa and Peter even left us some delicious cherries and wafer cookies. Having the washer and dryer in the apartment was a lifesaver, and it helped us consolidate what we packed for our trip.
The day we left, Lisa and Peter surprised us with some lovely breakfast pastries and saw us off with the same level of graciousness from their welcome. If you are going to Amsterdam, you should definitely forego a hotel and stay here. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
