The apartment itself is incredibly spacious and is perfect for 2 people. It has everything you need and is in a fantastic location! It is within walking distance from all main attractions, great cafes and restaurants. It is situated on the top floor of a gorgeous canal building in the "9 streets" area.
Peter greeted us when we arrived and carried our suitcases up the stairs which was much appreciated. He took us through the apartment and gave great suggestions on what to do/see/eat in Amsterdam. When chatting with Peter upon arrival he also gave us some apple pie, which was delicious!
Near the end of our stay Lisa and Peter came down to have a chat goodbye with us. We felt their hospitality was truly genuine and was the best we have ever experienced.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to everyone.
Best Airbnb experience to date! Lisa and Peter Paul deserve the glowing reviews they've received. Their communications was excellent, from the time I inquired until we departed. They contacted us before our arrival date and Peter Paul met us at the appointed hour. He helped carry my bag up the stairs and Lisa prepared fresh apple pie for us. The apartment was stocked with orange juice, coffee and, my new favorite, stroopwaffles. Peter Paul was beyond helpful with suggestions. The day before our departure, Peter Paul helped us call a taxi and the next morning, helped carry my bag down the stairs. The flat is exactly as pictured and superb is not an exaggeration. It was modern, clean and very comfortable. Great location, walkable to many attractions in town. Four nights was just too short! The three flights of stairs to reach the flat can look daunting at the end of a day but they really are a small inconvenience if you don't have mobility concerns. Plus, you're walking around everywhere anyway! A++++, we would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much, Peter Paul and Lisa!
Lisa and Peter could not have made us feel any more welcome in their home. After a decent walk from Centraal Station, Peter greeted us downstairs and brought both of our heavy suitcases up the stairs. Even more, Lisa welcomed us upstairs with delicious warm apple pie. We felt so taken care of!
The apartment itself was just as described if not more comfy. The separate living/sleeping area allowed us to spread out a bit. The Nespresso machine hit the spot first thing in the morning and there was a small fridge to house random groceries. Lisa and Peter even left us some delicious cherries and wafer cookies. Having the washer and dryer in the apartment was a lifesaver, and it helped us consolidate what we packed for our trip.
The day we left, Lisa and Peter surprised us with some lovely breakfast pastries and saw us off with the same level of graciousness from their welcome. If you are going to Amsterdam, you should definitely forego a hotel and stay here. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
Peter and Lisa warmly welcomed us. we arrived on a very hot afternoon and Lisa had cold drinks and cold melon waiting for us. That was greatly appreciated! Peter offered to carry up our luggage, which is no easy feat. Lisa offered us lots of tips about traveling around Amsterdam and had many brochures and maps available for us to utilise. Lisa also had a typed sheet containing useful information about restaurants, supermarkets, places of interest.Lisa also had a taxi company that offered a fixed fee to the airport- which we used for our departure. nothing was too much trouble for either Lisa or peter.Lisa had a few extras such as coffee/tea/ cooking oils, washing machine powder etc that assisted with our comfortable stay. They made you feel part of their circle of friends. the position allowed us to easily walk to many destinations. We would highly recommended you stay at this apartment both for its position , amenities and support from Lisa and Peter.
Lovely hosts, lovely spacious and comfortable apartment with everything one would need in a great location. We felt very comfortable had a wonderful time!
This is a delightful apartment which is very centrally located. We were able to walk to all the things we wanted. The hosts have thought of everything for their guests' comfort. Whilst, unfortunately, we didn't meet Lisa and Peter Paul as they were away, Lisa's Mother was a most charming and helpful person to liaise with. Information was provided for everything from WiFi to restaurant recommendations and a cheap taxi service to the airport.
